Ethan was double-crossed by the beautiful female firefighter who spread her arms wide while looking him in the face.

Her lovely silver hair cascaded from her yellow helmet, and her yellow eyes looked Ethan in the face while she wondered what he was up to.

“You cannot go in there, Sir!” She repeated, and when Ethan attempted to push forward, she was forced to push him backward with both hands while looking him in the eyes.

“It’s too dangerous, Sir! You could die!” She pointed out that, and when she still saw that Ethan was never going to give up, she turned to some of her colleagues for help, her face strained with both weakness and uncertainty.

Sure enough, two male firefighters approached as soon as they saw her hand gesture, staring at Ethan from a distance.

Betty nodded, but the reluctance on her face was still intact. She looked toward the hallway, and seeing the fire that was above, she swallowed hard, gripped by overwhelming fear.“Are you sure, Mr. Ethan?” She couldn’t hide her fear, returning her gaze to Ethan who nodded with a smile, seeming like he was pretending not to see the fear that was all over her face. He had thought about letting her go, but there was no guarantee that she was going to be able to make it through the raging fire alone. He decided to keep her close, yet he was worried for her safety even with him. “Yes, Betty. I am very sure.” Ethan nodded without getting rid of his smile.“There is no way we are going to leave those people to die. You just said it yourself, they are stuck in the hall.” Betty nodded, and then she gulped saliva while she moved her eyes to the hallway. “Come on, Betty. Let’s go…” Ethan grabbed her and gently dragged her on his way toward the hallway. Betty staggered through, looking aro

“Does he have a death wish?” One of the onlookers whispered, a smirk on his face, while holding his camera. None of their comments, no matter how loud, was going to be able to stop Ethan from moving into the building.“He is going to get himself killed.” The female firefighter repeated, and it was hard to tell what the twisted expression on her face meant, whether it was pity or just fear because she didn’t want to witness another casualty. Finally, everyone could see what Ethan needed the helmet for. He smashed his way through with the helmet, breaking down the woods that were on fire. He made his way deeper, stepping over the burning woods that were on his path. He increased his pace as he moved further, looking ahead with only one place in his mind- the main hall. He could hear the screams from the employees who couldn’t get out of the burning building, his feet finding themselves moving faster than before. “Help me!” A female voice cried out in despair, causing Ethan to tur
