Storm family.“Charles! Explain this,” Lady Storm barked as she tossed a file at Charles.“Grandma, what’s it?” Charles asked in a tired tone. It hasn’t even been a week since Clarissa left and he has started facing the hellish treatment of Lady Storm.“Are you blind? Read those documents with you,” Lady Storm urged him with anger-filled eyes, causing Charles to swallow nervously as he squatted to pick the file while looking at a nervous Florence who stood beside Lady Storm. He picked it up and read it, and his expression crumbled immediately, “WHAT!! They are cutting off ties with us??!!!”“Thank god you can read and you definitely didn’t read the wrong thing! They are cutting off ties with us and breaking off our deal!! What do you have to say about this?” Lady Storm questioned with anger in her voice.“Grandma, this isn’t my fault, I only started looking after the Storm family business two days ago and I have not interacted with anyone from the Starkcom,” Charles tried to make Lady
_Two years ago_ A large portal suddenly appeared in the middle of two big city, the portal was so big and strong and it constantly swallowed innocent citizens who were nearby. On large TVs embedded on tall buildings, the news of the portal was being broadcasted. { "No one is certain about the rank of this dungeon that appears, not even the equipment of the hunter guild can evaluate the rank of this dungeon...}The voice of the worried newscaster spread across the streets as worried passerbys stood to watch the news with sad looks on their faces. { "The hunters from the hunters guild refuse to venture into this dungeon without knowing it's danger level.. they are afraid it might be the same dungeon which took the lives of several of our biggest cultivators twenty five years ago..." } She kept reading the news. { "It is confirmed that two hundred people including innocent women and kids have been swallowed by the portal... Is there any hero to save them?" } That was the question
Lady Storm was short of words at this moment, not because she didn't have an answer but because she is aware her answer would not be enough to please her eldest grandson whom she is afraid of. Carson is her oldest grandkid and is the only one who got the opportunity to train with her late husband who was a powerful cultivator who was tagged as a genius by everyone including the government. Carson not only learned to be strong like his grandfather but also inherited his bad temper. "Grandma, why aren't you answering?" Carson asked with a frown. He is pretty impatient when it comes to Clarissa as she was his favorite sibling and someone he does not joke with. "Young master, Clarissa left the storm family and swore never to come back," Florence decided to answer for lady storm when she discovered she was finding it difficult to explain what had happened. "What!" Carson yelled as his voice thundered across the room. The whole room was filled with a strong aura that made everyone sh
Ben hospital. This is the hospital that Jude and his sister were taken to, it was a big hospital and attached to the hospital is another big building that houses orphans. A flashy car parked in the parking lot, drawing the attention of passersby who sneaked their phones out to take a pic of the expensive car. A young man with sleek black hair proceeded out of the car with a calm look on his face as his beautiful eyes darted through the crowd"Wow, so handsome!" The ladies remarked. "So cool," the guys remarked collectively, wondering who this handsome rich uncle was and why they hadn't heard of him beforehand. William paid less attention to his surroundings as he began making his way into the hospital where he was welcomed by a respectful receptionist."Please sir, who might you be looking for?" The receptionist asked with a calm voice as she smiled at William, her face was beautiful and her voice was calming. "A little boy and his sister were brought to this hospital today, I a
William was driving home on the busy road, enjoying a ride in his new car which he hadn't gotten the chance to explore as he wanted to after acquiring it. 'I need to go into a dungeon as soon as possible now that I have my hunter ID but the dungeon takes a lot of time to clear,' William sighed. 'I would check the hunter mission list to see if there is any squad looking for a member tomorrow,' As a newly registered hunter, to go into the dungeon, Willaim has to accompany a squad of more than four hunters. 'But I have a lot of activities scheduled for two weeks from now so I pray the dungeon don't take most of the time,'There is the meeting with Starkcom boss and the school reunion and somehow the two fell on the same day. The meeting with Starkcom is in the morning and the school reunion is a night party. Fortunately they didn't fall on the same time. If not it would be a hassle. For now, William couldn't wait to get back home after a stressful day, he is sure Clarissa is back a
William and Clarissa had a good night in each other embrace after a passionate session; in this new place, they no longer have to bother about what others think about their relationship and could enjoy every moment. William woke up really early, he had a brief shower and left the house. He had already informed Clarissa the previous night about his next course of action and thus he didn't need to disturb her sleep to tell her he was leaving. He drove down the busy road, his destination was the central spell tower located in Windgaze city. A spell tower is a structure/marketplace where spells are sold, each floor houses different spells from tier one to tier ten. Tier one is in the ground floor and tier ten is present only in the highest floor. A beautiful car parked in the parking lot of a tall tower resembling the signature tower of Paris but this one was built with glasses and other sophisticated materials. A handsome man stepped out of the car and hurriedly made his way to the
Central part of Windgaze city. Windgaze city is not that big and also not that populated but the place is a nice peaceful place. The only disturbance here are the frequent supernatural intervention of dungeons and the hunters usually take care of these. Nevertheless, due to the fact that the rate at which dungeons appear is greater than the number of hunters, there began to be so many uncleared dungeons. Today, a squad of hunters decided to clear one of the dungeons. The squad were sitting in a small umbrella shade waiting for the last member. Several meters away from them is a tall circular portal that keeps circling chaotically. This was enough to make normal humans fear but the hunters didn't look scared at all. "Where is it now? Why is he taking so much time? We should be in the dungeon by now if you guys had let me invite who I wanted to invite," a hunter, male, who appears to be around the age of twenty six complained. He is wearing silver armor and at the back of the arm
It was a pretty ethereal view in a land that doesn't resemble earth at all. This surface was filled with sand and tall mountains, there was no sight of green plants nor water in this area and also the sky here wasn't blue or white like earths but was orange instead. There was a big ball of light similar to the sun on earth but this one was red instead, the amount of heat coming from this ball of light was far hotter than the sun on earth even in the hottest season. This is the Caveland dungeon! On one of the tallest mountains, four figures appeared and it was no other people than the members of the squad William joined, including William. After walking into the portal, their vision blackened and they felt themselves getting pulled to this place without a chance to resist. William was new to this feeling and thus he felt fear but the fear quickly washed off after he appeared with the others atop the mountain. "Too hot! What the fuck," Justin cussed out after feeling the extreme
