CHAPTER 289

Derek frowned.

He didn’t expect Aiden to die despite being in police custody.

But there were definitely potential loopholes everywhere. If it was really the doing of the force that Derek guessed, the police would likely be defenceless and unable to guard against their actions.

But Aiden’s death was not in vain. At the very least, Derek was now certain that the mastermind who instigated Aiden was more likely than not same person who sent the photographer.

Otherwise, Aiden wouldn’t have died so easily.

“Okay, I know.”

Derek was about to hang up the phone when he noticed in the rearview mirror that there were several inconspicuous cars tailing his car. Their intentions were unclear, but he knew that they had to be up to no good.

He frowned. They’re really everywhere. How annoying!

He wondered who sent these people to tail him.

With a trace of murderous intent in his eyes, Derek hung up the phone and quickly made another call. “Come to Clarine's apartment, I will send you an address.”
