Can you be my boyfriend?

Tina fell on the couch again. She felt she had done something wrong. 

" Hope I haven't made some mistakes with all these I am doing. Hope I'm not on the wrong path with all my actions and sayings to Ethan. Hope how I treated Ethan and his grandmother is not bad. Am I doing the right thing? '' Tina said to herself as she folded her hand.

She breathed in and out. She took a heavy breath before lying down on the couch. She took out her phone and started reading his conversations with Ethan.

" Am I not the one at fault? Ethan tried for me but I did something wrong with what I did" She said to herself.

After going through their chats, she sat down and picked up the divorce papers. She gazed at Ethan's signature before signing heavily.

Meanwhile, Tina's parents were very happy with what was happening. They hugged each other. 

" Yes, he has to leave because there's no space for him anymore in this house. That poor man must leave" Tina's mother said.

Then, her father said," Thank God for the divorce papers already. I want to see what he can do with him being a poor man. He said we will see and we are going to see what's going to happen. How dare that poor guy even utter such a word?

Tina's mother looked at the divorce papers once again and laughed loudly.

" It's indeed his signature. I can't just say how happy I am but today is going to be one of my happiest days" Tina's mother said.

She handed the papers to Tina's father and took a look at them too. Looking at Ethan's signature, he smiled.

Then, Tina's father said," He even dares to sign the divorce papers. I'm going to see where his overconfidence is going to take him. I'm sure that he's going to end up begging for food on the street" 

While Tina's mother said," He can even turn into a robber ripping people off their hard-earned money. Or is there anything else a poor guy can do?" 

" What if he has some connections?" Tina's father said. 

" And so? That doesn't mean anything" Tina's mother laughed.

She moved closer to Tina. 

" Hug me, my baby" She requested, talking to Tina.

"Alright, Mom," Tina replied, as she stood up.

Her mother hugged her and patted her on the back. 

" Tina, we asked Steven James to come to our house. He has all the qualifications of a good husband, dear. He has all the qualities we may be looking for in a guy" Tina's mother said, putting her hands on her shoulder.

Tina's father nodded in agreement and said, "Yes, it's true. What do you think about that, Tina? ".

Angrily, Tina put away her mother's hand and said," I'm not ready to start a new relationship. Whether he's Steven James or anyone else, I'm not ready to start anything" She said angrily.

" But why are you not happy and why are you frowning your face?" Tina's father asked.

" You even put my hand away, Tina. What's wrong?" Her mother asked.

Suddenly, Tina got up, took her phone and left the place.

Her parents started going after her, trying to stop her.

" Tina, what's wrong with you?" Her mother asked.

Her father walked faster and was about to hold Tina's hand when she entered her room and locked the door.

" What's wrong with your daughter? Why is she acting strange or what's the meaning of what she just did? " Tina's father asked her mother.

" I don't know what's wrong with her. " her mother replied.

Ethan was just Miles away from the house. Yes, he loved Tina but what she did was very bad.

" It hurts me". Ethan said to himself.

As he was about to cross the road, a luxury red car stopped in front of him.

The driver wined down the glass and Ethan looked at her. She's wearing a blue top and jeans. She wears a hat. 

Seeing her, Ethan frowned. It was a lady he had once promised he owned after she saved his grandmother when he was abroad.

Her name is Angela Miretti, the only daughter of the mafia boss, Franco Miretti.

" What's she doing here? Does she need something from me? She's the daughter of a mafia, so, does she need my help? Does she want something from me? Or why exactly is she doing here" Ethan kept thinking about what could be the reason why she was there.

" Can you Kindly enter the car?" She asked

Ethan nodded in agreement. " No problem," he replied.

He entered the car and Angela started driving. 

" How's everything? How's grandmother? How's she doing? Hope she's fine. Angela asked. 

Upon hearing her mention his grandmother, Ethan's eyes turned red. Her mode changed and he began to rub his hands with his face. 

"The death of that woman pained him. I can't just forget the day she died. That day kept ringing inside my ear. " He said to himself.

" No reply? And why are you rubbing your hands on your face? What's wrong with you, Ethan? " Angela asked.

Ethan didn't reply to her question. He kept rubbing his hands with his face. He's already lost in thought. All he's thinking about is the death of his grandmother, the woman who sponsored his education until he achieved his dream.

Then, Angel tapped him and he got back to his senses.

" What .. what? What's going on?" He asked. 

" I asked about your grandmother and you didn't reply? You started rubbing your hands on your face. Is something wrong, Ethan? Angela asked.

" She's dead, Angela. She passed away some days ago" Ethan replied, lowering his hands and putting them together.

Shocked, Angela replied," Death? Why? What caused her death?

Ethan replied," It's aging and there's no cure for that. That poor soul lost her life because of aging . It's a pity!".

Angela replied," Just let it go, Ethan ".

Ethan replied," No, I have said that I owned you once and I'm going to do so anytime ".

Angela smiled.

She looked at his face and said, " Will you be my boyfriend?"
