The dragon’s breath exploded violently, sending the examiner crashing down from the platform. However, the examiner’s protective shield remained intact, and he was unharmed, demonstrating that a Grand Mage was not so easily defeated. The entire arena fell silent. Although the attack couldn’t harm the examiner, the magical display was incredibly impressive, especially the final explosion, which startled everyone.

The examiner, stunned, announced the result:

"Leona, 17 years old, Intermediate Senior Mage."

"Boom!"

This result caused a stir among the crowd. Being an Intermediate Senior Mage at 17 meant that in the future, Leona would at least achieve the rank of Mage Saint, with a chance to reach the level of Mage God. She was indeed a once-in-a-thousand-years talent for the family.

"Indeed, a magical genius. It seems that in just a few decades, our family will have another Mage Saint."

Elder patted his chest and said. Duss also looked proud. After all, she was his daughter. The Grand Elder snorted.

"Indeed, she is the daughter of the family head. But I heard that our second young master was so afraid of the family test that he ran away and went missing."

Hearing the Grand Elder’s sarcasm, Duss remained calm.

"He hasn’t had his test yet, Grand Elder. Who knows who will come out on top?"

The Grand Elder frowned slightly but said nothing more, as it was now Desmond’s turn to step onto the stage for the test. He still had that arrogant look, ignoring everyone. Desmond drew a large sword that emitted a brilliant red glow. The temperature around him became dry and uncomfortable.

"Oh, this is a magical weapon."

A knowledgeable young man exclaimed. Magical weapons are items with magical runes inscribed on them. They can enhance offensive or defensive capabilities and activate the magic engraved on them. Such items are extremely valuable. It was surprising that Desmond owned a magical sword, making everyone envious.

"Unexpectedly, the Grand Elder is so fond of his grandson that he even gave him a magical weapon."

Duss smirked slightly in mockery. The Grand Elder remained indifferent.

"Desmond is my grandson and a genius of the family. This is called rewarding a hero with a valuable sword. Unlike a waste of space, even with a magical enhancement, there would be nothing impressive."

The Grand Elder emphasized the term "waste of space" with sarcasm, but Duss remained calm, smiling as if he had not heard the Grand Elder's words.

Desmond enjoyed the admiration and envy from the crowd. He gripped the large sword tightly and swung it forcefully at the stone.

"Boom!"

The large sword drew a beautiful red arc and struck the stone, creating a deep cut. But unexpectedly, the stone quickly recovered to its original state. The magical world was indeed miraculous.

"17 years old, Peak Late Stage Fighter."

The entire arena buzzed. A Peak Late Stage Fighter was already close to the rank of Grand Fighter. The young people showed admiration, but the Second Elder frowned on the high platform.

"With a magical weapon, to only achieve a result equivalent to a Peak Late Stage Fighter, it seems Desmond's progress has not been impressive. Despite his high talent, he cannot be lazy in his training."

Other elders nodded in agreement. The Grand Elder turned a blind eye.

At this moment, a young man with blue hair, a resolute face, and an imposing demeanor, holding a spear, stepped onto the stage. This was Geoffrey, known as the number one talent in the family in terms of fighting spirit. Geoffrey’s calm demeanor gave the impression that he had the whole situation under control. The elders nodded in approval, as composure was essential for a talented commander.

Geoffrey held the spear horizontally in a respectful manner. Then, he exerted force with both hands and thrust the spear straight at the stone.

"Thud."

Without noise or extravagance, the spear penetrated about three-quarters of the way into the stone. The entire arena gasped. The stone had superhuman resilience, yet it was nearly pierced by Geoffrey. The onlookers felt that they could never achieve such a feat.

"Geoffrey, 18 years old, Late Stage Grand Fighter."

The crowd erupted in cheers. It was evident that Geoffrey was well-liked by the family’s disciples. After the cheering subsided, the examiner continued the test.

"Franz."

The arena suddenly became silent, followed by laughter. Everyone knew Franz was considered a waste.

"Forget it, why bother with a test for that waste?"

A young man shouted from below. The other young people also nodded in agreement.

"Boom!"

Suddenly, a fireball flew and burned the hair of the shouting young man. Everyone shuddered and looked towards the back. Leona stood there with a dark expression, exuding murderous intent. None of the young men dared to move, let alone resist. The notorious reputation of Miss Leona was well-known.

"Franz."

The examiner continued to call out his name. The Grand Elder sneered contemptuously.

"A waste is just a waste."

After a pause, the examiner said,

"If Franz does not achieve anything, the result will be..."

"Wait a moment, sorry for being late, I was stuck in traffic."

A voice suddenly interrupted the examiner. Franz walked in leisurely from the entrance, showing no sign of embarrassment for being late.

A wave of pressure from him shot toward Darius and his brother, causing them to step back in discomfort."Everyone, let’s maintain harmony. We can always negotiate," Garen said, stepping forward. Instantly, the oppressive aura of the deputy captain dissipated. Garen smiled warmly and continued, "Everyone here is a noble descendant of the court, and you should not offend us easily. How about we all take a step back and treat this as if nothing happened?"The reason Garen didn’t want to escalate the situation was because the enemy outnumbered them. Although he could defeat the deputy captain, he feared that while he was occupied, Elissa and the others might be in danger. The deputy captain hesitated for a moment as well; offending noble descendants in the capital was no small matter. At that moment, Darius spoke up."Get out of here, or I’ll call my father to bring an army and kill you all."Garen and Franz immediately sensed the danger. Sure enough, the deputy captain showed signs of h

After three days, Franz had gained a basic understanding of this group. Janna was a priest in the sub-chapter of the Holy Church, calm and kind-hearted. Elissa appeared to be the daughter of some noble, with a childish, mischievous, and endearing personality. Garen was not Elissa’s subordinate but another noble; his aura radiated an unmistakable air of nobility. Darius and the other knight, Garpat, were brothers and nobles as well, but they were arrogant and looked down on Franz. The cold-faced swordsman was mysterious and known only by the name Shadow.During these three days, Franz worked hard to recover his chakra. Although he had used high-grade recovery potions, he still couldn’t return to his peak state. However, this was sufficient for now. He also received troubling news: Gamabunta was severely injured and couldn’t be summoned for the next three months. Over the three days, the group managed to hunt quite a few magical beasts, primarily level 4 and level 5. Because Elissa’s te

Hearing the young girl, Elissa quickly said,"Yes, yes, Miss Janna, hurry and save him, or he’ll die!"Janna teased with a smile,"Look at you, all flustered. Are you perhaps starting to care about him?"Elissa pouted and shook her head, complaining,"You're so annoying, always teasing me. Who’s paying attention to him?"Janna chuckled and walked closer to Franz. Her brows furrowed slightly, and she recited a spell."Holy Light Restoration Spell."A beam of holy light emanated from Janna’s hands and enveloped Franz, healing his wounds. In no time, his injuries cooled down, and his meridians stabilized. Amazingly, chakra had returned to him, even if just a little. Franz was overjoyed—this small amount of chakra was enough for him to open his Shinobi pouch."Thank you,"Franz said softly, as he was not the kind of person who wouldn't appreciate help. Janna had helped him recover some chakra, and that was already very helpful."Hey, you should thank me too!"Out of nowhere, Elissa poppe

Franz opened his eyes to a clear sky. The air felt fresh and pleasant.“It seems to be morning. Where am I?”As his consciousness returned, Franz sat up. His body felt weak, his limbs trembling. He was shocked to find that there wasn’t a trace of chakra in his body. Reaching for his Shinobi pouch to retrieve some healing medicine, he realized he couldn’t open it. Franz let out a bitter laugh. It seemed that using the Shinobi pouch required chakra. He surveyed his surroundings. It appeared to be a mountain range, densely packed with trees. Franz let out a sigh of relief. It was fortunate that no magical beast had wandered by while he was unconscious; otherwise, he might have died without even knowing why.“Ding! Congratulations to the host for killing a Battle Emperor. Reward granted…”“Ding! Congratulations to the host for leveling up to Level 57…”Franz sighed in amazement. He hadn’t expected that killing a single Battle Emperor would yield more experience than killing ten Battle Kin

Did that mean he had to use his charm and seduce Mazunky? Surely Mazunky wasn’t that perverted. No way. Franz would rather die than lose his dignity. If Mazunky ever heard these thoughts, would he immediately break the seal and tear Franz to shreds?“Alright. I’ve said everything that needs to be said. It’s time for me to leave,” Phara said with a trace of sorrow.Franz eyed the old man suspiciously, considering a terrifying possibility. "Leave?"“Yes,” Phara nodded. “I’ll use the last of my remaining energy to restore the spiritual essence of the continent to its peak. At the very least, I’ll be able to create a group of divine-level masters to buy you more time.”Phara’s body began to glow and gradually disintegrate, much like his master’s had. As if suddenly remembering something, he added:“When you leave here, find the Holy Church and tell th

  • Chapter 61: Phara's Secret

“Young man, have you understood?”Suddenly, everything vanished, leaving behind a vast expanse of white space. In front of Franz, an old man sat cross-legged. His hair was long and white as platinum, his eyebrows as lengthy as those of the mythical Tai Shang Laojun. The skin on his face was slightly wrinkled, and his thin frame was draped in a white magical robe, blending seamlessly into the surrounding void.“Understand what? Where is this place? And who are you?”Franz asked a series of questions, his confusion evident. The old man smiled faintly and replied,“This is my domain. What you just saw was the history of the Violet Blue Star. As for me…”The old man paused briefly before continuing.“I am the young Phara you just witnessed.”Franz was astonished and blurted out,“Then you’re a god?”The old man chuckled softly.“I am indeed a god. Moreover, I am the one who brought you to this world.”It was as if lightning had struck him. Franz froze, his face first showing shock, then a
