Kevin couldn't read it all without feeling like smashing the phone in his hand.

They were over three million viewers, then coming to the comment section. The worst of it.

“So you managed him for all these years and we never knew?”

“Such men as him ought to be locked behind bars.”

“Why don't you track him, send his location and we're gonna strip-beat him up!”

Kevins patience was getting slimmer.

He needed a place to cool his temper as he could never plan anything reasonable under such a mood.

He decided to answer the woman's call. Before he didn't want to.

“Maybe she's beautiful. Who knows what she's gonna offer me.” Lofty, lustful thoughts filled his mind as he revealed his rare evil smirk.

With the last money in his pocket, he took a ride there. It took three hours to reach there and when he did arrive he was told it's a pack. One for the elites.

“Maybe she's inside,” he said within himself. He brought out his phone to call but it didn't go. A small voice asked him to wait and try again later.

While waiting, he saw a couple, both man and woman looking so familiar but the man grabbed his attention more.

He gasped. “Why does he look like my brother?” He gasped. Kevin looked deeper as the young man turned and it was him. He strode forward to hug him.

Approaching him, he realized that the woman on his side is Ivy.

Silence enveloped his thoughts for a second as he paused in his steps, the earth beneath feeling the heat.

“What's this? Alan? When did you return from abroad? Is she your new wife?”

“Bro?” Alan looked aghast. “Why are you looking so tattered?”

“Ivy, do you know him?” Ivy asked, confused.

“Darling, this is my bro. The one I told you he's gonna inherit grandpa's stuff but I won't let him, I had to get married to you and get kids early. It didn't matter whether we were in the same state or not.”

“Where's your wife? Didn't you promise grandpa you'll make a good family, you had to beat your wife if not that my babe here got a lawyer for her, you'd kill her.”

“Huh?” Kevin was speechless.

Ivy, who was now trembling, grabbed Alan. “Let's get out of here. He's dangerous. He must have tracked me here.”

“What baby, I said this is my brother.”

He didn't say one or two when Kevin grabbed his collar so tight and his eyes turned red with fury. “What are you doing with my wife?”

“Which wife?” Ivy barked.

“Who? Which wife? You must be insane?” Alan pushed Kevin off but Kevin came back at him pulling him tighter to which Alan slapped him.

Kevin tripled the slap on Alan’s face, causing Alan to spit out blood.

“Jealous your promise to grandpa never came true. Look, I've got two lovely children and I'm gonna take the Group from you.” he spoke like that would be his victory.

Adrenaline spiraled in Kevin and he threw a deep punch on Alan, forcing blood off his mouth. Alan fell, rolling on the ground. Ivy quickly called 911, sending her location. Before Kevin realized, the cops had arrived. People had gathered.

“No wonder you said the truth, he's a woman beater!”

“If he could treat a man like this, he'd kill a woman.” They began to murmur.

“He should be locked away in an underground cell.” Ivy gave the order to the police. As a public figure, she was certain to be heard.

Kevin stood there barely flinching. His face remained still. His assurance was wherever they take him to, no matter how long he stayed there, once he's out, he'll mercilessly fuck their lives up.

They handcuffed him and were ready to take him away amidst the boos when a sweet, feminine voice rang out loud from the crowd. Everyone turned to see a young woman running towards Kevin and the police.

Silence fell everywhere. It was the governor’s daughter. The billionaire fashion mogul, Camilla Harry. Pretty as hell, Ivy was a joke where Camilla was. A golden blond with an ethereal glowing skin, the eyes of a goddess, scorching brow. Her shape was the sexiest of all models.

Kevin gulped.

His heart stopped. He tried remembering the series of people he's encountered in terrible situations and saved. This face seemed like one of them.

“Are you….” The words fell inside his throat staring at Camilla.

“Yes, it's me. Sorry I kept you waiting. I guess you got into a fight?” Her face darkened with remorse. “I'm so sorry, hope you weren't hurt?” She began to touch him, feeling his hand, glaring through his face to the bewilderment of everyone.

“You're a good man, with what you did to me. Anyone whom you fought with ought to be at fault.” Her eyes drifted to Alan.

Ivy felt a pang of jealousy at the sight of the beauty!

“Who's this?” He hissed, Ivy rushed at him trying to make her keep quiet.

“What are you trying to say? You...” Ivy forcefully placed her hand disrupting his words but he pushed her off.

“Let me talk!”

The police left Kevin and were advancing at Alan but Camilla stopped them with a wicked grin. “Leave him. I didn't come here to fight. We'll look into this another day. My dad wants to meet you.”

“The governor? Gov. Aldric Basilio.” Kevin stuttered, trying to process what he just heard.

“Yes, he wants to see you.”

“For?” Kevin asked.

“There's no time to waste. When we get there, you will know.” Everyone looked at him, speechless as Kevin was finally released. He left with Camilla.

Ivy swallowed the words she had planned to say and responded with a restrained greeting, her tone stiff, especially after noticing Camilla beside him. She had assumed Camilla was only with him for that occasion. If someone had told her that this was her ex-husband’s new love interest, she would never have believed it. Yet here it was, real and undeniable. Even though their marriage had ended, Ivy still felt an odd discomfort seeing Kevin with another woman. A faint sting of jealousy crept in. She slightly missed the heavy care he showed her and their kids. Alan had no such time. “Kevin, is she someone you know?” Camilla asked, her gaze sweeping over Ivy from head to toe as if assessing her. There was a subtle edge to her tone, as though she already knew Ivy but was just mocking.Ivy’s eyes widened slightly, she was surprised that Camilla, someone who already knew her, even met her in a gala before, was now acting as if she didn’t recognize her. Still, Ivy sensed it was intentional.

“Gossshhhh!” Kevin couldn't control the glimmer in his eyes. He never expected Camilla to say something like that. When he took a closer look at her, he noticed she had a different kind of beauty compared to Ivy. She was slimmer in figure, with fuller boobs and hips, long straight hair, and a face that looked incredibly smooth. Her skin had a radiant, well-cared-for glow, as though she had undergone some luxurious treatment. She carried a captivating charm that could easily draw men in.“Why are you so surprised?” Camilla laughed loudly, her breast rising with each breath as she watched Kevin’s expression. Her presence carried a distracting, alluring scent that briefly clouded his focus. Kevin struggled to look away from her striking figure, finding it increasingly difficult not to stare. The longer he looked, the more unsettling his reaction became, he felt strangely drawn in.“Let's not rush into that.” Kevin said being a man of principle. He didn't want to be seen as just coming

  • CHAPTER 8

By the time Kevin arrived at the governors ward, he was already done and preparing to go with his daughter. Camilla came to meet him. “What took you so long?” “Yeahhh!” Gov. Aldric loomed with his deep voice. “She told me you were coming with her.” “I'm so sorry, the person I met, my brother kept me for long.” “He's here?” Aldric asked. “I'd love to meet…..” “No dad,” Camilla cut in. “He's a bad guy. Hates my man so much.” Both Aldric and Kevin narrowed their eyes in shock at the address. Camilla blushed, going over to Kevin's side. “Woww!” Aldric muttered, glaring down. “It seems my dream is coming true, my daughter who has never looked at a man twice is falling in love.” “Let me leave the two of you together. Come back together.” He said and rushed out, wanting Camilla to spend as much time with Kevin. Kevin stared. Stunned. Speechless. The moment her dad left, Camilla leaned towards him, whispering, “My dad has always wanted me to marry so I can take over his per

  • CHAPTER 7

“By coming for treatment?” The doctor sounded amused, a reaction that got Alan wanting to explain more. “I want you to compound the issue, write on the report the attack was fatal and I sustained serious injuries on my face. It's business. Name your price and I'll give you whatever you want.” Kevin smiled but his smile was invisible under his face mask. “Really?” He sounded not-to-stiff. Alan and the two women following behind him were already so excited. “Alexis said it all. Dr. George is free and outgoing. Assuming we met a strict doctor.” Ivy told her mom. Alexis was her bestfriend. So she knew Dr. George here even when she worked at Carrington. Kevin thought and smiled deep again. “This is a private plan,” now the talkative began. “After getting the report, I'll sue him in court for assault and attempted murder, and get him to prison.” “Yes, of course.” Ivy reinstated. Her pupils dilated with bliss. Bianca beamed. “He's got no money for a lawyer, definitely going

  • CHAPTER 6

Kevin struck Gov. Aldric lightly behind the right side of the heart and then the left side, repeating the action twice before beginning a slow, careful massage. Everyone in the room watched in confusion, especially the senior doctors, murmuring among themselves. “What is this fool doing here? Someone get him out, he’s only making things worse!” one of the senior doctors shouted when Kevin stayed without any insignificant improvement, stepping forward to push Kevin away from the bedside. But Camilla quickly slid in front of him, blocking his path. She stood her ground and gave him a piercing, warning stare. “If you come any closer to him again, I will deal with you!” she threatened. He immediately became frightened and stepped back. If someone as calm and kind as Camilla everyone admired could say something like that, then the situation was clearly serious. “Why are you always determined to create chaos here?” she fired back at him. “Do you know this man saved me too three mon

  • CHAPTER 5

Throughout the drive to the governor’s house, he didn't say anything to Camilla, same with her, just that she kept stealing glances at him. After about thirty minutes, they arrived at the State House. They stopped and highlighted from the car just before the garden entrance of the mansion. “Wait here! Let me go inform my dad of your arrival in case he's in a meeting.” Camilla before leaving his side. While waiting alone at the entrance, he decided to wander off a little but not too long when he heard something like a low squeal, the flapping of water. The sound was coming from the right, he looked straight and it was a massive pool, about fifteen meters away. It interpreted to Kevin that someone was calling for help. No wonder the squirling voice sounded low. He forced his way amidst the complicated, windy walking route. But unfortunately by the time he arrived the man was underneath the water. He jumped into the water in search. He froze for a second seeing the depth of the poo
