The walk to the ward was tense, each step heavy with anticipation and the burden of the unknown. Upon entering the ward, the nurse left them alone, closing the door softly behind her.

Ryan approached the little girl's bedside with a reverence, as if stepping into a sacred space. Mrs. Sonya watched him, her heart caught between hope and fear. The little girl lay pale and still.

Ryan stood over her, his gaze intense as he observed her condition. Then, almost reverently, he fumbled with his ring. His fingers delicately manipulated the ring, activating it with a concentration that seemed to draw upon his very will.
