Chapter 32: The Summoning

Jason coughed at the sudden question. Obviously, money actually mattered to the princess that was standing beside him.

“Are you ok?” Barbie asked with concern when he finally stopped coughing.

“Um.. yeah. I am.” Jason replied bwuth a tight smile.

“Ok. I have to go now.” Barbie said.

“Already?” Jason asked with a playful pout.

“Yeah. I have a family thing that I have to be at.” Barbie replied.

Jason nodded at her reply. He was grateful that the conversation had steered away from his carless situation to somthing else.

Barbie dug a hand into her purse and it came out carrying a key fob.

She pressed a key on it and the car unlocked.

“I guess I'll see you later, Jason.” She said walking to the car door.

“Yeah. Definitely.” He replied with a smile.

Barbie got into the car and reversed out of her parking space, she waved at Jason from her window before she drove off.
