Chapter 31: The Scholarship Student

Jason trailed after Barbie like a lost puppy as she led him back to the burger shop.

They got to the shop and thankfully, most students had already left for their next class or done with lectures for the day.

Barbie walked to the counter while Jason scored them an empty table that was close to the window.

It hadn't escaped Jason that people were looking at them weirdly when they were walking to the burger shop but he wouldn't let that put him down.

He was determined to get Barbie's number and no side eye was going to stop him from getting it.

Barbie returned carrying two plates with burger and fries and two cans of soda.

“I don't think I had fries in my ruined lunch.” Jason said as he stood up and pulled out the seat for her.

“You don't like fries? I'm so sorry, I can't have burgers without fries. I guess I should have asked you first.” She replied with a tense smile.
