CHAPTER FIFTY TWO

Chapter 52

Lisa walked back into her living room carrying a tray of hot cocoa, one for her and one for Jason.

She'd not expected him here and it seemed that he didn't plan to be here either.

"Thank you." Jason said as Lisa handed him his cup.

"You are welcome."

Lisa gave a noncommittal smile and sat beside him, staring at him, still bewilderd by his sudden visit. As far as she knew, he was supposed to be having Christmas dinner with George.

She stayed quiet for a while, waiting for Jasn to have a taste of the hot Cocoa.

"Do you have anything stronger?" Jason asled after downing half the cup.

Lisa blinked, surprised by his words.

"Is everything okay with you, Jason" She asked, scanning Jasns face.

It was a silly question because his face was a dead give away that he was anything but okay but Lisa thought it was polite to ask before jumping into conclusions.

"No, Lisa, I am not." He answered, his tone caught between harsh and on the verge of tears.
