ENCOUNTER WITH HIS WIFE
Outside the City of Capilonia, a manor stood atop a hillside, its grandeur illuminated by the soft glow of countless lights. It was a sprawling estate, with towering spires and intricate stonework that spoke of wealth and power. Ethan went wide-eyed at the series of Luxury cars lined the driveway, their polished surfaces reflecting the golden light from the chandeliers inside. The air was filled with the hum of conversation from people and the clinking of glasses, as elegantly dressed guests mingled in the opulent ballroom. Ethan stepped out of the car, his sharp eyes taking in the scene. He was dressed in a tailored suit chosen by Rebecca Grant, its dark fabric accentuating his broad shoulders and commanding presence. Though he felt out of place among the crowds, but he didn't give a thought about it. Rebecca emerged beside him, and for a moment, Ethan was mesmerized by her transformation. She wore a long gown of deep emerald green, its delicate fabric glowing under the lights. Her hair was styled in an elegant perfect bun, with a few loose strands down her face. She looked radiant, her beauty both striking and effortless. Yet, there was a hint of tension in her eyes, a reminder of the danger that lurked around the corner. “Your outfit seems nice,” she said with a small smile, her voice teasing but warm. Ethan raised an eyebrow. “You don’t look so bad yourself,” he replied, his tone dry but appreciative. She laughed softly, the sound like music in the crisp night air. “Let’s go,” she said, linking her arm with his. “We have a mystery to solve.” As they entered the ballroom, Ethan couldn’t help but feel the weight of the evening pressing down on him. The room was a sea of glittering gowns and tailored suits, the air thick with the scent of expensive perfume and the murmur of polite conversation. He scanned the crowd, his golden eyes searching for any sign of the mysterious businessman they had come to confront. But before they could make their way further into the room, a familiar voice cut through the noise. “Well, isn’t this a surprise?” Ethan turned to see his wife standing a few feet away, her arm linked with that of a tall, impeccably dressed man. It was none other than her secretary. The Secretary glanced at Ethan and then, to the lady beside him, he couldn't help but appreciate their clothes. He was seriously angry to see him here. A man like him has no right to be here. She was stunning in a sleek black dress, her hair cascading over her shoulders in perfect waves. But her beauty was marred by the cold smirk on her lips and the sharp glint in her eyes. “I didn’t expect to see you here,” she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “And with a new companion, no less. You move on quickly, don’t you?” Ethan’s jaw tightened, but he remained calm. “This isn’t what it looks like,” he said seriously. His wife laughed, a sound devoid of warmth. “Oh, I’m sure it isn’t. But really, darling, couldn’t you have found someone with better taste? Or are you just that desperate?” Rebecca stepped forward, her chin lifted in defiance. “Excuse me,” she said, her voice firm but polite. “But I think you’re mistaken. He’s a good man—far better than you seem to realize. If anyone here has poor judgment, it’s you.” The wife’s smirk faltered for a moment, but she quickly recovered. “How charming,” she said, her tone icy. “But let’s not pretend this is anything more than what it is. You’re the new chick he is trying to leech on, aren’t you?” Rebecca Grant blushed in rage, she couldn't tolerate Ethan's wife's attitude any longer but before she could speak, Celine began to say something. “Do you know why I am here?" She scoffed maliciously, “I'm here for an investment. My Company is planning to partner with the Grant Cooperation. When that happens, my company's status is going to rank high among others in California!” She mumbled boastfully. Rebecca couldn't help but smile sheepishly, "I don't think you are going to partner with Grant! A rude spoiled brat like you doesn't deserve to be cooperating with Grant. I promise you, you won't get the investment!" “What do you just say, bitch?" She hadn't completed her words when a heavy slap landed on her face. She staggered due to the force. Celine glared contemptuously at Rebecca and then at Ethan, “You dare watch her lay her filthy hands on me!" She tried to retaliate by slapping Ethan but Rebecca stepped in quickly and grabbed her hand, pushing her away. “Get out of here, shameless woman!" Celine’s face flushed with anger and embarrassment, but she said nothing. She turned on her heel and stormed away, her male secretary trailing behind her. Ethan watched her go, a mix of emotions swirling in his chest. He felt a pang of guilt, but also a sense of vindication. His wife had always been quick to judge, quick to assume the worst of him. But now, she was facing the consequences of her actions. Rebecca turned to him, her expression softening. “I’m sorry you had to go through that,” she said quietly. “But she didn’t deserve you.” Ethan nodded, his golden eyes meeting hers. “Thank you,” he said. “For standing up for me.” She smiled, but there was a hint of sadness in her eyes. “You don’t have to thank me. You’ve done so much for me—it’s the least I could do.” As they moved further into the ballroom, Rebecca Grant excused herself to make a phone call. “I want Celine Henderson out of the cooperation list. Send her a message we aren't partnering with her company anymore. Do it now!" She ordered. When Rebecca returned, her expression was grim. “I’ve instructed my subordinates to remove her company from our list of potential partners,” she said. “I hope that’s alright.” Ethan hesitated, his mind racing. He knew his wife’s company was struggling, and this decision could have serious consequences for her. But he also knew that she had brought this on herself. Before he could respond, his phone buzzed. It was a message from his wife. Her tone was desperate, pleading for him to reconsider. She apologized for her behavior, and begged for another chance. Ethan read the message, his heart heavy with conflicting emotions. Rebecca watched him, her eyes filled with understanding. “It’s your decision,” she said softly. “Whatever you choose, I’ll support you.” “Let's leave that for now!" Ethan said, Meanwhile, as Celine angrily walked deep into the ballroom, she got a beep on her phone. She halted instantly and checked the message; ‘We are sorry by breaking the news to you; The Grant Company won't be investing in your company! Have a nice day!’ “What?" Celine went wide-eyed and she couldn't help but panic. Dreads washed over her instantly.

It’s the only way to break the curse completely.”This was the method his mother taught him when he was a child and the power of the Dragon blood, he knows every knowledge about it.Upon seeing this, Nico Wharton’s face turned red with anger. He stepped forward, his fists clenched. “You expect us to believe that?” he spat.“This is outrageous! You’re just trying to take advantage of her while she’s vulnerable. I won’t al

Ethan's fingers trembled as he gripped its cold, metallic edge on the man's face with all of his power. He had expected resistance—some mechanical lock or invisible force—but this was different. The mask breathed. It pulsed faintly against his touch, like a second skin bound by will, not metal. He was astounded at this revelation, and he wondered how possible this could be. He tried pulling with all his strength again, but he wasn't successful. The mask was like a rock that couldn't be pulled easily from its position. A thrum of dark energy rippled through the air as if something ancient coiled within the villain’s flesh, guarding his identity like a venomous sentinel.“This isn’t just an ordinary mask,” Ethan muttered to himself. “It's something more! Something I can't even explain!" Before he could process it further, Rebecca grabbed his arm and pulled him aside, her grip firm. Her usually composed face was tight with fear and worries. Ethan, fazed by her actions, snatched his

"What are you waiting for? Get out! You don't deserve me anyways, you are just useless!” She spat disparagingly. “Okay then, I hope you don't regret your decision, Celine!" He muttered, his heart heavy with hurt and disappointment. With that, he opened the door and stepped out into the hallway, leaving behind the life he had once known. As soon as Ethan walked out of the office, the secretary approached Celine, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder."Don't worry," he said. "Your future husband will be someone extraordinary. “Hello, why are you disturbing me, Celine?" His voice tinged with annoyance. On the other end, his wife’s voice was sharp and furious, each word dripping with anger and accusation. “You miscreant, where have you been? I have been trying to reach you but to no avail. Do you switch off your phone because of me? Are you trying to make me angry?” Ethan chuckled at his wife's irate words. He totally forgot he had thrown his phone out of the helicopter earlier. The reason she could get through to him. “I found the woman’s contact information through the helicopter that had taken him away. Who the fuçk is that woman? Why is a helicopter here because of you?” Celine demanded, “I don't think you need to be concerned about that. We are not together anymore, you don't deserve to know anything!” Ethan mumbled. Celine was fuming over the phone, she never expected to speak to her in that manner. “You’re a coward, Ethan,” she spat, her voice trembling with rage. “You can’t even face reality
