Companions

Charles was riding back home in a limousine with Walter who was driving it. He decided to save the last condition for later and just head home.

Not wanting the attention which came with escorts, he dismissed the rest.

But he was sure that certain measures were still put in place for guaranteed safety.

The ride has mostly been quiet with Charles's thoughts being on his mother. If she was only alive to see him now.

He promised to be very generous when paying back all the pain he passed through.

The silence reigned for several more minutes as he realized he walked a lot of distance.

Walter was the one who broke the silence. “I have to say, young master. I’m impressed. You surpassed my expectations of you. I’m sure you’re going to accomplish many great things in the future.”

After all the insults he has been receiving it felt good to be praised like this but Walter wasn’t done.

“But there are some things that I would like to correct.”

“Go on,” Charles said wondering if he did anything
