"Oh!"

Xerxes remembered that she had read something like that. But Emily Famous was already hinting at having a relationship with someone else.

Plus, over the years, nobody had sighted the two loving couples together. This ship was going to wreck and she would just be waiting patiently to take the ruins for herself and build a cruise ship.

"I wouldn't mind a little compensation?" The young lady remained determined.

Just then, a bang was heard just ahead of them. The cars came to a halt

"What's wrong?" Xerxes inquired.

"I will check it out. Just give me a few seconds." The assistant replied.

He got out of the car while the rest watched closely. George was encased closely by a convoy of cars.

A group of fully armed men stepped forward. Broad chested and eyes filled with murderous intent.

Quinin recognized one of them in an instant. It was the same man that had looked at him with a death stare earlier that day.

He had come back for him. Just as he noted he was going to do.

Quinin squeezed his hands tightly. He knew that he would come but why did it have to be now?

"What do you want?" George's stern voice inquired.

"The man in the car. Get him out to us and we would have no issues at all."

"Then you better start going already. That man is under the protection of the heiress of the Lincoln family.

Leave now and we will forget this ever happened."

"Oh, the heiress." The eyes of the thug brightened.

"That would be Killing two birds with one stone."

A bounty had already been placed on Xerxes in the underworld unknown to them.

Anyone that was able to get the heiress would receive unimaginable wealth and connection that would serve them the rest of their lives.

Luis' face deemed with a smile hidden underneath his murderous intentions.

"Then I would have her outside the car if you don't mind. I heard she's pretty pretty. I could do a little touching before we eventually get to our final destination." George gnashed his teeths at the provoking words.

The members of the gang drew closer, encircling the guard. Quinin wanted to go outside but Xerxes stopped him.

"You can't leave. I haven't had you for myself yet. And I'm sure George would be able to take care of this." She stressed, still calm, making a joke even at the expense of such a situation.

"I doubt George will be able to help."

"He sure will. He's trained by the household of the Lincoln family. To not only assist me but also to protect me. There's nothing to be worried about."

A loud bang was heard. The words in Xerxes lips froze. A slap just sent George flying to the other end of the street.

"Do you have any other person that needs to be taught a lesson?" The leader of the gang inquired.

Xerxes was still too dumbstruck to speak. Before she even realized what was happening, he had already stepped out of the car.

Because the issue with her twin brother was an emergency, Lady Xerxes had not gotten the luxury of getting proper protection for herself.

"Trying to be a coward again?"

"Is running away really the only survival skill that you have? What happened to those large hairy balls of yours?" The leader of the gang mocked.

"I wonder why the leader was so afraid of you when you're nothing but a weakling.

This would be me showing him that he had mistaken you for someone else and you're nothing." He gritted his teeth.

Xerxes shook her head. She was a beneficiary of the young man and could not even help.

He was about to be delivered to the cold hands of death. She had never seemed so helpless all her life.

If he decided that he wanted to run away, then Xerxes was definitely not going to fault him for it. , it would be the wise decision to make at this instant.

The only problem was, how Quinin intended to pull such a feat.

"If you don't mind. I'm running late. So kindly get out of my way." Quinn remained calm and unfazed, staring up at the rage boiling through the blood of the gang leader.

Quin intended to end the call, but hearing the words from the Medical director, he couldn’t get himself to do it. But that didn’t make him break his silence. He just listened to hear more. Harry sniffled for the umpteenth time. “Please, Doctor Quin. We are tired of losing anymore children, we don’t want any more to die. Adults are not left out, so many bodies are piled up in the morgue. You need to help us, you have to help us.”Quin grunted. He wanted to get some rest, but it appeared that he was going to have to change his plans. It was impossible to ignore the plea of the middle-aged man when they had already lost a lot of lives.“What do you want me to do, Mr. Lopez?”“We need you to come to our City at once, Doctor Quin! We will make sure that you are compensated for your services. You have my word.” Quin nodded. “I will be on my way then.” He said calmly and ended the call before the middle-aged man could say any other word. He got ready to leave for Pinewood City, packed ev

The documents contained a list of all those Amber’s father had managed to pay. There were over fifty of them, and the amount was over five hundred thousand dollars. Quin shook his head. “Your father is quite terrible.” He said, and then he returned the documents to her. Amber sighed. “He has paid all of them, I promise you. Please come save him, I beg you.” She still had tears in her eyes, and it didn’t look like she was going to let them trickle down her face at any moment.Quin took a glance at Nam, and as soon as he saw his eyes turning toward him, he looked away.Nam was still struggling with the guilt that surged into his body, and looking at Quin’s eyes was going to make it more intense. Quin returned his gaze to Amber. “Your father is a lucky man, Amber. He is very lucky.” He growled, unable to hide the disdain in his eyes.Amber said nothing. She knew that her father was a terrible person, and no matter what Quin said, he deserved it. She hoped that Quin was going to take

It had just been a day since Quin went to the Minister’s residence to heal his son, but that seemed to be enough to get Elliot out of office. He received a call that sent him out of the office, and it was more confusing because he couldn’t find out who was responsible for it. The citizens of Eastside were jubilating. It appeared that it was the liberation they had been hoping for, to be set free from the hands of such a tyrant who was called the Mayor of the City. That afternoon, he was preparing to leave his office after he received the call from the President of the country. With a box in his hands, and his two guards following behind him, he sauntered along the hallway that led out of the Mayor’s office, not certain of how he was going to deal with the massive crowd outside. Quin found his way into the building and emerged in front of Elliot. “Last day in office.” He said with a smirk on his face, and then he scoffed. “I am sure you never thought that today was going to be the

Sabina took a while before she managed to respond.“He came home from the holidays and started complaining that his chest was burning up. We took him to the hospital to get him checked, but they said that he was fine and we brought him back home. A few days later, his situation became worse, and he has needed to be on oxygen since then.” Sabina sobbed again, but that didn’t stop Quin from asking the question he had in mind.“How long has he been like this?” He asked, but it looked like the Minister’s wife was still not able to get a grip on herself. Modric had to answer on her behalf. “It’s been over six months, Doctor Quin. He has been this way since the beginning of this year.” He sighed in despair the moment he turned to face his son. Quin nodded. “This is not something serious, Minister. But I have a condition before I attend to him.”“Anything, Doctor Quin! Anything at all, consider it done.” Modric said loudly, and his wife supported him with a nod. Quin sighed. “Are you sur

Quin maintained a suitable distance while he drove behind the men. He knew that the Minister must have sent for him because he needed him to cure someone if not he himself, but also needed to be very careful. They were going to be driving out of Eastside and going to the neighboring City. But it was just a thirty-minute journey, and Quin had already made up his mind that he was going to see the end of it.Eventually, they arrived at the Villa of the Minister of Defense. Quin parked at the garage just like every other person who drove into the vicinity with a car.His car was far better than the majority of the cars parked in the garage, but that was not what he had in mind.He remained inside his car while he looked around. The mansion was not just tall, it was very beautiful, and it was obvious that the interior was going to be more wonderful. The two men who had been sent to get him had already alighted from the car they had come in, and seeing that Quin had refused to come out

Quin remained standing while he stared at the men one after the other.“Do I know you?” He asked, convinced that he had never met them before. The men shook their heads one after the other. “You don’t know us, Doctor Quin. But we know you. We have heard so many good things about you.” One of the men said, staring at Quin with a smile. He expected Quin to be delighted with what he said, but since he didn’t know who they were, he didn’t know how to react to what he heard. “What do you want?” He asked, unable to hide his eagerness to leave. “We need to talk, Doctor Quin. Will you be kind enough to go with us?” The other man who had not yet spoken pleaded, but Quin said nothing.“Please, Doctor Quin.” He pleaded.“This is very urgent.” His partner added.Quin took a deep breath. “You two are yet to identify yourselves. Do you expect me to go with you wherever you want because you pleaded with me?”“Not at all, Doctor Quin. But this is very important. It is a matter of life and death.” T
