They attacked from every side, not leaving any breathing space. The leader of the gang beamed brightly with smiles.

However, Quinin remained unfazed. With steps mixed into the air and we're barely noticeable to the human air, his hands tore through their jaws, knocking them out cold.

Xerxes' skin tightened with shock as Quinin dusted off himself. His poker expression returned and he got into the car where George had been taken to.

Taking a pill out of his pockets, it slipped into the mouth of George and dissolved almost immediately.

His wounds healed slowly and the swells all reduced. He handed over a few more to the one taking care of him.

"One tonight and another tomorrow morning and he would be as good as new."

Xerxes remained calm. But her inside was shaken with astonishment.

How could someone be betrothed to such a person and not want them? Instead going for someone who wasn't even a tenth his worth.

"Well. It's an opportunity to get what isn't valued for myself." She smiled.

Quinin got into the car, casually like nothing had happened.

"Everything is set now. We should get going."

Xerxes nodded to the driver. Soon, they were at the entrance of the Famous family Villa.

Quinin was about to alight from the car when Lady Xerxes stopped her, a warm feeling rising through her chest.

"Are you sure you wouldn't want anything? Even from me?" She inquired with a smirk tugging her lips.

"No..." Quinin stressed.

"That's sad. Just tell me if you need anything." She handed over to Quinin, her business card and blink.

Quinin got out of the car and walked forward toward the mansion

He squeezed his hands tightly remembering that he had to do all of this because of his mentor.

"You again. What are you doing here? You sure know the perfect way of ruining the mood of anyone." Emily growled, coming from behind with her friends and a few others

"Thought he said initially that he wasn't trailing us. Then how come he is here?" Said Victoria, her face squeezed with disdain.

"Well, who is he?" The lady standing before them inquired.

Her akin resemblance to Emily was enough to identify that she was the mother of the girl who lacked manners.

"And who is he, dear Emily?" Her curiosity rose to the peak.

"The guy I told you about mom. The one that I accidentally met at the entrance of the hotel and bumped into me without apologizing.

And then he chickened away while Kelly helped me out with those thugs."

Lady Kate frowned.

"He looks just as pitiful as described."

Without much hesitation, she brought out a few bundles of cash from her pockets and threw them at Quinin.

"There. You have it. The reason that you have been lurking after my daughter like a lost puppy. Now scram!" She growled.

Quinin's eyes remained straight up at hers.

"I'm sorry but you have gotten the wrong ideas. If Mr. Famous is around, then he could be of use in clarifying this..." Quinin corrected them.

They all laughed at the stupid proposition.

"You know Mr. Famous The audacity of broke people these days.

But when their life is worthless and without value, I'm sure they can do anything that they want without the fear of death!" They mocked Quinin who remained calm.

He waited peacefully because he had already sent a message to Mr. Famous before coming over.

The door opened and everyone was greeted by a gray-looking old man, supported by a walking staff.

"What are you doing out Sir? Famous." Everyone panicked quickly rushing off.

"Don't worry about me, Emily, Kate. Get everything ready. Your husband is here."

"I don't see anyone!" Emily's face tilted around in total confusion and Sir. Famous giggled turning over Quinin.

"Good day, Mr. Quinin. Don't take that to heart.

My daughter is always fond of fumbling with dark humor now and then. Be assured that she's a good person." His toothless mouth was displayed by the warm smile.

"Yeah. I have experienced the part for myself and lot more." Added Quinn.

And Emily who had her mouth falling agape the whole time finally spoke.

"Him? That's the fiance?" Emily's body shook under the weight of the astonishment that collapsed on her.

Quin intended to end the call, but hearing the words from the Medical director, he couldn’t get himself to do it. But that didn’t make him break his silence. He just listened to hear more. Harry sniffled for the umpteenth time. “Please, Doctor Quin. We are tired of losing anymore children, we don’t want any more to die. Adults are not left out, so many bodies are piled up in the morgue. You need to help us, you have to help us.”Quin grunted. He wanted to get some rest, but it appeared that he was going to have to change his plans. It was impossible to ignore the plea of the middle-aged man when they had already lost a lot of lives.“What do you want me to do, Mr. Lopez?”“We need you to come to our City at once, Doctor Quin! We will make sure that you are compensated for your services. You have my word.” Quin nodded. “I will be on my way then.” He said calmly and ended the call before the middle-aged man could say any other word. He got ready to leave for Pinewood City, packed ev

The documents contained a list of all those Amber’s father had managed to pay. There were over fifty of them, and the amount was over five hundred thousand dollars. Quin shook his head. “Your father is quite terrible.” He said, and then he returned the documents to her. Amber sighed. “He has paid all of them, I promise you. Please come save him, I beg you.” She still had tears in her eyes, and it didn’t look like she was going to let them trickle down her face at any moment.Quin took a glance at Nam, and as soon as he saw his eyes turning toward him, he looked away.Nam was still struggling with the guilt that surged into his body, and looking at Quin’s eyes was going to make it more intense. Quin returned his gaze to Amber. “Your father is a lucky man, Amber. He is very lucky.” He growled, unable to hide the disdain in his eyes.Amber said nothing. It had just been a day since Quin went to the Minister’s residence to heal his son, but that seemed to be enough to get Elliot out of office. He received a call that sent him out of the office, and it was more confusing because he couldn’t find out who was responsible for it. The citizens of Eastside were jubilating. It appeared that it was the liberation they had been hoping for, to be set free from the hands of such a tyrant who was called the Mayor of the City. That afternoon, he was preparing to leave his office after he received the call from the President of the country. With a box in his hands, and his two guards following behind him, he sauntered along the hallway that led out of the Mayor’s office, not certain of how he was going to deal with the massive crowd outside. Quin found his way into the building and emerged in front of Elliot. “Last day in office.” He said with a smirk on his face, and then he scoffed. “I am sure you never thought that today was going to be the

Sabina took a while before she managed to respond.“He came home from the holidays and started complaining that his chest was burning up. We took him to the hospital to get him checked, but they said that he was fine and we brought him back home. A few days later, his situation became worse, and he has needed to be on oxygen since then.” Sabina sobbed again, but that didn’t stop Quin from asking the question he had in mind.“How long has he been like this?” He asked, but it looked like the Minister’s wife was still not able to get a grip on herself. Modric had to answer on her behalf. “It’s been over six months, Doctor Quin. He has been this way since the beginning of this year.” He sighed in despair the moment he turned to face his son. Quin nodded. “This is not something serious, Minister. But I have a condition before I attend to him.”“Anything, Doctor Quin! Anything at all, consider it done.” Modric said loudly, and his wife supported him with a nod. Quin sighed. “Are you sur

Quin maintained a suitable distance while he drove behind the men. He knew that the Minister must have sent for him because he needed him to cure someone if not he himself, but also needed to be very careful. But it was just a thirty-minute journey, and Quin had already made up his mind that he was going to see the end of it.Eventually, they arrived at the Villa of the Minister of Defense. Quin remained standing while he stared at the men one after the other.“Do I know you?” He asked, convinced that he had never met them before. The men shook their heads one after the other. “You don’t know us, Doctor Quin. But we know you. We have heard so many good things about you.” One of the men said, staring at Quin with a smile. He expected Quin to be delighted with what he said, but since he didn’t know who they were, he didn’t know how to react to what he heard. “What do you want?” He asked, unable to hide his eagerness to leave. “We need to talk, Doctor Quin. Will you be kind enough to go with us?” The other man who had not yet spoken pleaded, but Quin said nothing.“Please, Doctor Quin.” He pleaded.“This is very urgent.” His partner added.Quin took a deep breath. “You two are yet to identify yourselves. Do you expect me to go with you wherever you want because you pleaded with me?”“Not at all, Doctor Quin. But this is very important. It is a matter of life and death.” T
