Quin struggled with the urge to go after the old man because he knew that it could lead him to revealing a secret he promised to take to his grave, but his uncle’s life was at stake, and it was either he played along or lose his only family member.

He was forced to take a step after them, and then the second, the third, before he started marching faster to catch up with them.

Lord Farrell walked very fast until his energy could no longer carry him, and he was forced to slow down, causing his guards to catch up with him.

Quin kept a little distance of caution, observing as they walked through a hidden tunnel that led them into a secret room.

The old man opened the door to the room with a large key hanging on his neck, and then he went in with just Quin while the guards stood at the door waiting.

“I am sure you can identify the herbs when you see them.” Lord Farrell gestured to Quin who began to look around the secret room while he kept his eyes wide open.
