The look on Viola’s face showed that she was not ready to provide the answer to the question she was asked.

“The nurse back at the hospital said that his father sent those men to get him. Tell us who the father is, I am sure it can lead us to something.” Quin insisted, wondering why Viola found it very difficult to speak.

“Talk to us, Viola.” Lady Bianca said, and then she moved closer to Viola and held onto her arm. “Tell us who the father is. Don’t be afraid, Quin here will make sure nothing happens to both of you.”

“Mm-hmm.” Quin nodded to affirm the old lady’s words, and Viola nodded.

She cleared her throat as though she was about to say something, but she ended up pointing at Quin while she struggled to look into his eyes.

“Why are you pointing at him?” Lady Bianca asked, and Viola turned to face her.
