Chapter 03: First Mission.

"Young man, you have a tenacious life. I'm amazed." The doctor smiled before Eric could say anything.

"Well, that's because I have a gorgeous and skilled nurse treating me, or else, I wouldn't have been able to wake up so quickly." Eric grinned.

The doctor blushed at Eric's remark, shaking her, she said,

"Well, you shouldn't compliment me, I'm amazed that you woke up so quickly."

"Well, it's all thanks to you. Besides, I wouldn't be able to die even if I wanted to because I have a stunning doctor by my side."

"No you really shouldn't thank me, it's a medical miracle." The doctor smiled and shook her head.

"Well, I was told there was nothing like miracles, but you just performed one on me today. Or else, how would I have woken up to your beautiful face."

The doctor's face turned red hearing what Eric said. Though this guy in front of her had a glib tongue, he was such a sweet talker and she had no words to refute his words.

"But you should know that your bones and tendons were broken because of the accident. We estimated that you'll not be able to survive." The doctor shook her head and continued.

"I'm still in awe of how you survived it."

"Well, I did die, but when Hades saw me, he said I was more handsome than him and he couldn't tolerate someone being more handsome than him, so he sent me back," Eric said seriously.

"Pfft!"

The doctor couldn't help but burst into laughter upon hearing Eric's words. The latter was just able to say such things with a serious expression.

"Besides, it was worth it, as I woke up to your beautiful face. I'm really lucky, you know." Eric continued.

"You know there's a saying that, waking up to a beautiful face is the sign of good luck. Guess, I'm in luck today."

The doctor blushed hard at Eric's words but didn't say anything. She couldn't find the right words to say.

"I..."

Just then, the door of the ward swung open, and a rather average-looking man walked into the ward holding a bouquet in his hands as he walked towards the doctor with a smile on his face.

The clothes he was wearing were rather expensive, and he had a heavy perfume that immediately filled the whole ward when he walked in making Eric scrunch up his nose in displeasure.

"Katie, I've been entrapped by your beauty since the first day I met you, please accept this as a token of my love." The man smiled sweetly, stretching the bouquet forward.

"Mark, I told you I'm not interested, yet you keep on disturbing me. Do you want me to call the police on you?" Katie's expression darkened as she said coldly.

This was not the first time Mark had come to pester her. She was irritated by him. He was just a rich spoiled young master who had a promiscuous lifestyle, she didn't want to have anything to do with him.

"Katie, even if you reject me a hundred times. I'll continue trying. I love you and I'll give you all that you want." The young man smiled as he said rather calmly as though he didn't hear Katie's threat.

"Besides, do you think I'm not good enough for you?"

"I told you several times that I have a boyfriend already, why do you keep pestering me?" Katie snorted coldly.

Mark's mouth curled up into a smirk hearing Katie's reply. He was sure that she didn't have a boyfriend, she had just said that to make him go away, but he was not ready. He had to make sure to get her onto his bed first, or else he wouldn't be satisfied.

With a wave of his hands, many girls would be willing to climb onto his bed, yet, she was turning him down, who the hell did she think she was?

"You keep saying you have a boyfriend, yet I have never seen him. Do you think I'm a child who would be easily fooled?" Mark sneered.

"Fine then, that's my boyfriend," Katie said angrily pointing at Eric who was watching the drama.

Huh?

Eric froze seeing Katie point at him. When did he become her boyfriend? Did the beautiful doctor know what she was saying?

"Hehehehe!"

Mark suddenly burst out into laughter hearing what Katie said, he looked at Eric who was sitting up on the bed then turned to look at Katie. Though the latter was more handsome than him, he could tell that the two had no relationship whatsoever.

"Is that so?" Mark raised his brows looking at Katie.

"Are you sure that loser is your boyfriend?" Mark sneered.

"That's none of your business if he's my boyfriend or not. Now that you've seen my boyfriend, you should leave." Katie said, in a rather not polite manner.

"Do you think I'm a fool? How's that loser your boyfriend? Or do you think you can play with my senses that easily?" Mark sneered.

"Fine, since you don't believe," Katie said angrily and walked up to Eric who was still watching the scene with a dumbfounded expression, and directly kissed the latter.

[Ding: Mission completed]

The system's mechanical voice rang out in Eric's

"Host can receive rewards." The system continued.

"Remarks: The Host's flirting skills are below average and the mission was only completed based on luck. Besides, the host now has successfully acquired one love rival. How would he be able to deal with it since he's as weak as a chicken? He'd better look for ways to improve himself."

"Note: System's impression of the host has dropped even further."

Eric's face twitched seeing the system's remark. What kind of system did he acquire? It would diss him at any given chance.

But then he couldn't care less about it at the moment, he had to focus on the kids and enjoy it, he couldn't lose out since he was being taken advantage of.

Mark's expression changed upon seeing the scene, anger rose in him as his chest heaved heavily.

After a while, Katie disengaged from the kiss and turned to look at Mark whose expression was rather ashen.

"Now, do you believe?" She sneered.

"You..." Mark gritted his teeth as he pointed at Katie before walking out of the ward.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Eric, I had no other options." Katie turned around and blushed, apologizing to Eric.

"There's no need to apologize. I don't mind losing five years of my life span because of that kiss." Eric grinned.

"I'll happily go back to Hades and force him to accept me

I'm not worthy to receive a kiss from a beauty."

"I'll go get your discharge papers ready." Katie's face turned red in embarrassment as she hurried out of the ward.
