5 - The Zaydel Heir

“What are you even saying? Goodness! Can you even hear yourself, Jenny?” Sahan spoke in disbelief as he glanced at her with a narrowed gaze. “What have I done to you? I have given my whole life, my loyalty, love and sincerity to you! Wasn’t that not enough?” He nearly shouted but pain was visible in his tone. Sahan could not bring himself to hate her even if he wanted to.

“No! It was not. I did not need those useless things, Sahan. I desired money and luxury which you cannot give me. This is the problem, you have never done anything for me!” She scoffed and shook her head with a mocking laughter. Jenny flipped her hair back again, pursing her lips arrogantly, she lifted her phone and showed it in front of him.

"See? This is the latest iPhone. My boyfriend bought it for me. It costs more than five thousand dollars. That amount is a meagre one to him. Can you rub shoulders with him? Hah! I doubt you have even seen such money altogether. And you want me to not dump you like a baggage?” Her mocking gaze made Sahan angry as he clenched his fists.

“Shut your filthy mouth you hoe! I cannot believe I was swayed by your outer beauty and did not realise how ugly you are inside.” Sahan spouted those words with a completely different demeanour which he had never displayed before. “I would not tolerate any of your bullshit. You shall pay for hurting me, Jenny. And I will make sure of that!” Sahan warned her with a finger, his eyes bloodshot red with anger.

Before he could move Boris, Jenny’s father lunged forward in anger to punch Sahan in the face. “How dare you talk to my daughter in that tone?” One of the guards blocked him and threw a hard smack over his nose. How could anyone hurt the great Sahan Zaydel so easily, when he, himself was done with it?

Saikus, Jenny’s uncle and her aunt, Mrs Jones….both of them stood in daze. The only person who was not shocked was the old paralyzed man, Mr Lind.

It was evident for him that now Sahan was done with his granddaughter Jenny. Only he was aware about what Jenny had been losing due to her greed.

Saikus, Jenny’s uncle and her aunt, Mrs Jones….both of them stood in daze. The only person who was not shocked was the old man, Mr Lind. It was evident for him that now Sahan was done with his granddaughter Jenny. Only he was aware about what Jenny had been losing due to her greed.

“Stay away from me if you wanna stay in one piece.i will not hold back from acting reckless, now that you have crossed every limit.” Sahan threatened everyone while glaring at each one of them. Meanwhile, Jenny stood there having no clue about the sudden change in Sahan. The woman was standing with her assumptions running wild, there was no way he would switch personalities for nothing. What was he so proud about? He was nobody!

Sahan getsured to one of his men and he rushed to get some stuff which he had brought there upon his arrival. “Yeah, get out! And never come back begging!” Boris yelled at him to cover up his lost dignity while Jenny spoke nothing. Mr Lind seemed ashamed of his family, turning around and leaving the scenario.

Sahan heard those imbecile people calling him names behind himself. “Yeah, go away! You piece of trash. Don’t come back like a beggar.”

“Marco?” Sahan did not pay any head, as soon as he got out the man took a deep breath. The man who had been following Sahan ever since his abandoning, popped up. “Yes, sir!” Was he mad or what? Perhaps, if nobody would have known him then must have thought that getting dumped had hurt his brain. “How many months has she been cheating?” Sahan asked the man on his left side who informed him in a low voice suspecting the outcome.

“Six months, sir!” He glared at him with a soul-eating stare as Sahan’ scary appearance made them all shudder. “You all shall pay six times for hurting me, Jenny! All of you Linds!” Sahan spoke his motive and with his threat the man took his leave. A vehicle halted in front of him and two men hurried towards Sahan, one of them brought a coat and the other a cigar in his hand. As he walked out of the ingress, Sahan puffed another smoke and raked through his hair with a tilted head which showed the tattoo over his neck.

Sahan's sleek black limousine strode up the meandering driveway, surrounded by lush and manicured gardens, tall and ancient oak trees. The vehicle purred quietly, its headlights piercing through the prevailing dusk as it approached the magnificent manor. He witnessed the architectural marvel of the towering pillars and the grandiose design of ingress.

The evening sun casted a warm, golden glow upon the sprawling estate, highlighting its intricate and expensive stonework and ornate detailing. The manor was a testament to wealth and aristocracy, the beauty matched only by its sheer size. “Finally!” The silence was disrupted the moment Sahan spoke in a cheerful manner.

As the limousine neared the imposing entrance, a pair of immaculate wrought-iron gates swung open, revealing the cobbled courtyard beyond anyone’s imagination. Sahan's chauffeur, the professional in a black crisply pressed uniform, expertly manoeuvred the vehicle through the archway and into the huge courtyard. Inside the limousine, Sahan gazed out of the tinted windows, taking in the grandeur of his estate; feeling nostalgic. His expression remained composed, but there was a hint of pride in his eyes as he surveyed the surroundings, the bubbling fountains, and the majestic facade of the manor; especially the family name carved in gold.

Sahan spoke softly with a chuckle upon coming back. “Home.”The vehicle continued its slow progress through the courtyard, the cobblestones echoing the muted hum of the engine. It finally came to a stop in front of the manor's massive, intricately carved golden double doors. The chauffeur exited the car, hurried to the other side and opened the door for Sahan.

Sahan stepped out of the limousine and stood before the imposing entrance, which was welcoming him in the soft glow of the manor's exterior golden lights. The vastness of the estate stretched out around him, a testament of Sahan being an aristocrat. “Welcome to my humble abode!”The doors swung open, revealing the resplendent interior of the manor, with its grand chandeliers, carpeted spiral staircase and the expensive white marbled floors. A strange aura of danger and grandeur enveloped Sahan as he stepped over the threshold and into the opulent hall of his home.

Sahan stood in the decorative foyer, taking a moment to breathe in the familiar scent of peace and pride. He ran his fingers lightly over the intricately carved bannister of the staircase, a subtle smirk appeared on his lips knowing what Jenny had missed. Only if she had known who he was and what he could do! Sahan walked inside when a woman in her 40s rushed towards Sahan with her arms wide open. “Sahan! My son!” The woman who was the definition of grace lunged at him with teary eyes and hugged Sahan tightly.

Sahan did not change, he just returned to his normal self. Dropping the facade of being a broke man, he returned to being the Zaydel heir! The mysterious lord who ruled the whole darn businesses; the consortium’s heir!“You are finally home!” His mother caressed his cheek while Sahan simply nodded with a smile. She gestured to him to follow inside knowing that he might be tired from the long journey. After all, the Zaydel manor was located out of the city bustling and over a ridiculously huge piece of land.

Before abandoning Sahan from family for the test, his father had left all the property on his name and some shares on his mother’s, acknowledging that the greedy and cunning relatives would gang up with enemies to attain the insurmountable wealth. Sahan had already found a way to keep his mother safe by leaving the house.

Without his signatures and the official seal of the Zaydel family and his mother’s approval no darn lawyer was able to transfer shares to anyone. In order to keep his beloved mother out of danger Sahan left home and started living an ordinary life. He aimed to understand people and their behaviours by living a low profile life while continuing to handle matters from the shadows.

Then he met Jenny Lind and his perception of life changed and diverted into a new direction. Now that she had drastically casted a negative impact on his personality, he was out for revenge from her, Danny Carter and Lind family. “You chose this for yourself, all of you. I am the nightmare which none of you wanted to dream about!” A grin appeared over his face as Sahan pushed the doors of the study room open.
