Chapter five

(The Dragon)

They skip through the woods exhausted, out of water, food, and every other things keeping them alive.

“I’m tired, I need to rest!” She said finding a tidy spot for herself to sit on the ground before sitting down there, her sweaty face resting on her curled up knee as a deep sigh left her lips.

“We have to keep moving but truly we need rest!” He replied dropping the bad his holding down.

Suddenly he lean up a bit sniffing the air. “Can you smell that?” He sniffed harder standing up. “There is a village around here!” He pick up the bag dragging his sister up. “Let go there!”

They arrive at the small village located in the woods. In front of them is some kids running around, smokes coming from different small small houses.

He pick the amazing scent again trailing it to a local eatery, the place look so indecent you’d think the nice smell isn’t coming from there. They look so disgusted looking at the place and quickly settling on leaving there at once.

They manage to steal some coins from different peoples as it seems the village has a small market and a place where they can get new foods and stuffs.

Both of them bought the things the money they have could get and seek for a night shelter with this woman with two child, one blind and the other normal. Getting discourage the girl start having thoughts about running away during midnight to where she came from and put an end to this boring adventure.

Truly while everyone is sleeping she stood up gently carrying everything her brother got and tiptoed outside, ready to go she nearly bumped into the blind kid starring blankly at her

“What are you doing awake kiddo? You freakin scared me!” She said looking around to make sure nobody is around other than the girl.

“Look don’t tell anyone you saw me okay, I just wanna go pee, now go wait inside and go sleep, I wonder what you’re doing outside all alone by yourself.” She placed both palm on the little child’s shoulder gently pushing her back inside. “In the middle of the night.” She mumbled to herself.

The little blind girl stopped turning around to look back at the girl. “Patience sometimes works with destiny, impatience sometimes works with destruction. Together we’ll find the key and know the way, but for now let be patient and let destiny truly lead us!” The girl said to her going back inside and leaving the girl to her pondered confusing state.

She stood up trying to understand what they just told her or she just heard, knowing she couldn’t comprehend she went back inside reciting on the blind girl’s last words ‘for now let be patient and let destiny lead us’ as she lay down closing her eyes and ready to call it a day.

The ray of the rising sunshine shone brightly brightening the little modern hut they’re sleeping. She yawned feeling refreshed with a bright smile plastered on her face, she glanced beside her to still see her brother deep in slumber. Slamming a palm hardly on his shoulder he grunted standing up. “Let get going!” Was the first words he uttered to her sister as good morning before he start packing their things.

“Not after they give us breakfast, and I dreamt about letting destiny leads us and not make way for ourselves.” She said also standing up fully. “I wanna go swim!” Her kiddish mode suddenly switched in as she fold her arm with her lips pouted and face looking like a kid monster; no a cute adult baby girl who can kill the whole world.

“Please don’t-“

“I wanna swim!!!!!!!!” She yelled in his mind.

*Kale*

I sat there trying to know who I am, I need answers, like thorough explanations. None of this happening right now is breaking through my mind or skull, I need answers which I don’t know where to get it.

I stood up cleansing the stream with an extreme energy radiating around me, I felt the needs to know and feel my new power, it feels so good.

I really don’t know when the energy around me start spreading and surrounding the whole cursed and foggy place.

All the dead plants rising back to life with the beautiful trees blooming, the new shiny rainbow shunning bright from the sky.

There was a loud roar, a big roar that actually sent my smiley face to a scared one, what’s that?

The roar became louder and nearer as fear clouded my entire existence. It roar one more time becoming visible, I watch the deadly dragon monster screech loudly at me.

He twist around surround me, it looked so disturbed and angry, fire steams breathes out of his nostrils and mouth.

He keep getting close and close till he came roaring loud in my face ready to devour me

I blocked my face in fear awaiting my dead. Nothing came as I opened my face to the whitish substance surrounding him.

It looks like I’m healing something inside of him, he succumb downward lowering to my level as his eyes glowed red. He start changing with the whitish dust emitting from my hand start erasing the foggy mark straight in his heart.

He cooed as the mark completely erased leaving me with a dazzling red and black beautiful fiery creature, he look so amazing, his tail sharp and long, his eyes red and yellow, his big round head, his big wings flapping heavy winds around him.

He flew upward in freeness looking so happy, I starred with a smile on my face happy I freed the dragon from his bondage.

Done flying he landed right in front of me rubbing his big self against my tiny self, I got lost in his body as the hotness from him alone his killing me. I struggled finally breathing free air when he placed me back down. He blinked cutely at me before touching my arm with his large paws creating a mark there, it doesn’t hurt tho but I don’t know what it means.

He fly up and up till his image vanished from my face, I look around to see how beautiful this place is now is. I won’t be telling mom because they all would start coming back to this place, and this place is now mine.

I gave it life, and now it should give me back calmness and soothing environment, I really love it here.

My head suddenly sparked with heavy heat developing inside my head, I held it in pain as my eyes I believe start changing colors.

I manage to leave that place before this happening right now to me could destroy the place I just brought back to live. I staggered going to mom’s room, she’s the only one who can guess what’s happening to me right now.

“Arghhhhh!” The devil in me let loose at the entrance of mom’s room, my cloak turning dark and everything turning black all at once.

Dark clouds surrounded the earth as heavy winds start kissing everywhere, thunder claps loudly from the sky as the sky itself took a dark colored shield.

“Mekusuri ghaluamet!” The deep voice inside me screamed as the ground start rumbling. Mom rushed out shouting I should be gone but all to avail. None of what she’s saying is chasing away whatever that possessed me right now.

I watch as whatever spell he casted start destroying the whole palace. How am I doing this, I don’t wanna be doing this, I hate this.

With my instincts picking something, I grunt really hard taking control back to move my hand placing it on the mark the dragon had marked on me.

Series of tears start entering my ears as I keep destroying the palace now with my arms stretched.

Gently the air flows, slowly the stones and building rock start turning water leaving us on a dried land with a big city surrounding us all. There she stood glowing in white as the water lifted her up surrounding her, her eyes glowing deep blue white.

She glance at me directing waves of water my way, like a menacing warrior I stopped turning the water into a very dark substance in a spiral like manner.

I grinned wanting to hit her back when a big dragon hit me down, he picked me up by my cape flying away and leaving everyone in their total dismay of whatever I just caused or did.

I hate myself, I now prefer being normal, I don’t wish for powers anymore, I wanna be different but not like this entirely, I wanna be different in a normal way.

My eyes closed lightly as my skin blend with the sky air as the dragon flap his bug wing going God knows where.

I could feel myself slipping into another trance, not sleep but I haven’t close my eyes I’m already seeing a blank empty big field again, I quickly keep my eyes open. I’m normal now, my eyes are back to normal, so as my hair and cloak.

He landed on this high mountain cave like part gently tossing me off his back, I stood looking around to see how godly the place is.

Before jack the dragon flew away leaving me alone with this decorated inner part of this cave. “Welcome Kale, have being expecting!” I heard a voice said coming from the mountain. “You need answers, here you’ll find answers.”
