Seeing who was inside the car gave Emily's mother a little hope that, at least, he would render some help to them.

“What are you doing out here by this time of the day?” He asked.

Emily's mother was reluctant at first to open up about what had happened to them, but after giving a second thought, she decided to speak up because she had no option now.

“We have been evicted from the house, and my daughter and I are looking for a hotel to book and spend the night.” Emily's mother replied.

“I’m so sorry about that.”

When Emily, who was still closing her eyes, praying silently, heard the voice, she seemed to recognize the voice because the voice sounded familiar to that of Mr Stanley.

Slowly opening one of her eyes, to see if it was actually Mr Stanley, and lo and behold, it was him. The expression on her face changed when she saw that it was him. Mr Stanley, seeing this as another opportunity he had been waiting for, decided to help.
