A mother's love

"why are you defying your queen?" she yelled in desperate anger.

"it is your duty to protect me, why are you refusing to do that?"

"I'm not abandoning my duty" Yamato replied.

"I'm just choosing to not senselessly attack a man that can end me when he just wants to talk"

"so mother, if we don't to listen to him right now, we will be doing so in a charred state."

"my refusal is for your own safety"

meanwhile Mina was wondering "he's her son right?" and Inumaki answered her "they're all her sons, all four of them"

"isn't she supposed to protect them?,not the other way round?" Mina asked, and it became clear to her that no one there understood how family works because Inumaki didn't have an answer to her question.

"what of the father?" she asked, and Inumaki answered "he is no longer with us" and Mina sighed and said out loud in frustration "these guys are bred like ants" and everyone heard it.

the one who took offence to the comment was none other than the queen who immediately approached Mina in an instant, but as soon as she got close, Mina hit her pressure points and rendered her immobile.

from the time that their eyes first met, Mina could tell that the queen was not acting according to her own will. every thing she said, she meant the opposite.

She cared for the poor people and wanted to help them. she wanted to be the one protecting her sons, not the other way around. She didn't even want attack anyone. but she couldn't do any of what she wanted. she was under the complete mental control of the order.

Mina held the queen and stopped her from falling. then she carried her into the mansion to the chamber that Inumaki directed her to and the queen was laid on the bed. the same was done for the three young men that got fried and they were taken to different chambers for treatment and attended to by Yamato who was proficient in water healing.

meanwhile in the queen's chamber, Mina explained the situation and how to solve it.

"all we need is a little shock, and she'll be fine" she said

"well, that's not a problem for me" Yen replied as he reached out his hand towards the queen

"I ONLY NEED A LITTLE!!" Mina exclaimed as she tried to stop Yen from touching the queen with a hand that was intensely sparking with lightning, but she was pushed back by a sound wave that came from his other hand while he replied with the words "I know what I am doing" as he touched the Queen's head.

"why did you do that?" Mina asked in confusion as she approached Yen and looked at the queen.

"there was something inside her head" Yen answered.

"I knew I had to destroy it"

at this point, Mina realised that she had neglected the possibility of micro chips. she had expected it be a form of hypnosis or brain conditioning, but she forgot about the much more extreme approach that the order would have taken.

she looked at the queen and was quite impressed by Yen's precision. there was no noticable scar to be seen on her face and she was still looking as beautiful as ever. this was something that not even the best surgical procedure could achieve. all that was left was for the queen to wake up and let everyone see the result.

the first indication of the queen's wake was the tears that fell from her closed eyes. before she even opened them, she apologised to all of her sons, calling each one by his name. and as soon as she opened her eyes, she ran to each one of them in tears and hugged them tightly as she shed tears that were mixed with feelings of joy, love, sadness and relief.

for the longest time she had been unable to show her sons the love she intended. it was the saddest thing for any mother. but now that she had been granted the freedom to do that, she wasn't going to waste any time.

no one else had a chip in their brain so it was all good after the queen's own was destroyed. but there was still one major problem to be discussed.

  "the people outside"

the explosion of the first village was just the beginning. as long as the order knew that Mina was still alive, more villages were bound to be bombed.

it was agreed for that the villagers would be let in but there was an issue of accommodation. there were only a few mansions and all of them wouldn't fit.

"then why don't we just build more?" Yen asked. everyone found it ridiculous; even Yen himself because "there is no one here capable of raising buildings" Inumaki responded and Yen replied with "I know, but I feel it will all work out" and Mina turned to Inumaki and said "trust me, he's always right"

They got ready to move. Mina was equipped with a kanata and her favourite crossbow which she also recommendation for Rosewell.

every other person was satisfied with their bare hands and magic, and the queen was to stay behind. before she let her boys go, she held each of them close and rubbed their heads as she placed them on her bosom. at first, the boys were flustered and hesitant, but they warmed up to it and everybody got a hug before departure.

they had only walked a little far from the city when they looked up and saw multiple projectiles flying through the air. it didn't take much thought to figure out that they were aimed for the villages.
