He stood unready

With his knees weak

His arms were heavy

There was blood all over

his clothes already

But he still had the energy

to throw a punch

a barrage of them

maybe just a bunch

but something wasn't right

it was just a hunch

He could evade properly

In a weak state,

but when he was strong,

his reflexes came a bit late

There was no logical answer

for him to intake

and the more he thought of it

the more he couldn't think straight

Well leave that aside

and throw a bolt

of lightning

about a thousand volts

to your opponent

and give him a jolt,

and make him hop around

like a little colt

that's how things were

supposed to have gone

but Shiro tried

and couldn't get it done

the armored man threw it back,

and it dawned

on Shiro that

a real fight was on.

Very soon after

there was no sign

of laughter,

just the sound

of clash and clatter,

and a one sided fight

was the matter

but Shiro wasn't waiting

to receive batter

so he dodged to the side

and did a counter

It was a good one

EXCEPT,

what happened next

he didn't expect

his counter was blocked

and it was all reset

to where his opponent's attack

was set

to hit his chest

a second time yet

Shiro thought of the punch

that had him done

it felt like a thousand

though it was one

his ability to move

was already gone,

he tried to gather strength

but there was none

He tried to speak

but uttered no word

it was then that

the armored man drew his sword

It could be seen that the battle was over, and that Shiro had lost. He couldn't move any part of his body, he just laid there as the armored man walked slowly towards him, dragging his sword on the ground.

Shiro laid there listening to the clanking sounds the sword made as it dragged along the floor.

"Ah..." "ah..." "ah..." "ah" he constantly uttered, as if he was trying to say something, but it was already too late. Shiro watched as the sword came down on him; straight to his heart and twisting more than once.

His entire body had run cold, he could no longer feel his heartbeat (of course he couldn't feel it, anyone who feels a beat after all that twisting should be scared of himself ) and his vision was getting hazy.

"So this is death" Shiro thought not minding what was going on.

Before everything turned completely dark, Shiro heard a loud voice yell "Aka'nchawa" then he saw a bright light that illuminated his entire field of vision, and felt himself getting picked up. Shiro couldn't help but wish, that his saviour should have come earlier.

  • When the ice queen laughs

"well, Mr Addison" Ellie said as the camera faced Orie. "What are your thoughts on the current state of the match?" "I'm really not sure" Orie replied "To be honest, this is the first time I've seen Her like that so I don't actually know what to expect" "But if I had to take a guess..." "... I'd say I'm glad she wasn't like this in our match" Natsumi missed her first strike, and her second, and her third, and her fourth, and... all her strikes, she missed all of it. As it turns out, Kurobe had quite the reflex and was really good at evasion and keeping the distance. Every time Natsumi got close, he quickly evaded and put distance between them, pushing her back, attacking from blind spots, setting walls between them and a Whole lot of moves that prevented him from getting hit but that didn't stop his opponent from trying. With each passing second, Natsumi got closer to landing a hit on Kurobe. At first it was him feeling the little breeze as her fist fle

  • Cold hard truth

Many things can anger a fighter. An opponent that toys with them, someone that just won't stay down and in many cases, a direct insult. But none of those things were happening to Kurobe, he was facing something far more annoying; an opponent that isn't paying attention to him. At first glance, it looked like Kurobe was dominating the match without giving his opponent any chance to counter, but there were many times since the beginning of the fight where Natsumi would have been able to strike back but did nothing instead. She had barely moved from where she was standing at the start and she was in deep thought. All Natsumi did from the beginning of the match was to fend off the incoming attacks while thinking about what Orie had said to her. "I have finally seen your true self" "I finally know you" She couldn't muster up the courage to ask him what he meant because she was too afraid of his answer. She was afraid of the truth. "If the real me is a monster...

"Ellie porter here" "I'm in the stadium with our favorite finalist and we're here to watch the tussle for third place" "The crowd density in the stadium today would make you wonder how it would be in the final" "The place is packed!" "The first fighter we see coming on the arena is a favorite of many" "A one time champion who claimed his only title by beating all the heavyweights in the early matches and since then he has never not made it to the semifinals" "He is a force to be reckoned with" "Anyone that saw his previous fights would know that he is an opponent that even the champions do not take lightly" "I introduce to you" "Someone most of you already know" "The head of the department of geography" "The man who almost won against Fuji Waramaki" "ISHIGAMI KUROBE" "The second person coming up to the arena" "We love her for her beauty, we love her for her strength and we love her because she loves the one we want to win"

  • Tears of a beautiful summer

Orie was finally on the offensive. His wind blasts weren't doing much damage but they were strong enough to throw his opponent off balance and disorganize her attacks. He was able to close the distance bit by bit with each successful blast and every one of them hit. Before Natsumi could tell what was going on, Orie was standing directly under her. "White" orie said with a smile as he looked at her from below, then he spun his staff and struck the floor with it. Natsumi immediately turned to guard against it but no wind came from Orie's direction, it came from above and pushed her down. As Natsumi struggled to stand up, Orie began walking towards her and spoke. "I wondered why my prayers weren't working on you" "It would stop you for a brief moment then she'd take care of the rest by will power" "After this encounter, I think I finally figured it out" "The reason why my prayers don't work and who you are" "You are Natsumi" "You are not a spirit tha

"Power" "The powers that exist this world baffle even those that wield them" "Their might, the mechanism behind their use and their origin" "The world seeks answers to these mysteries but cannot find it because it tries to be logical about it" "Logic can never understand miracles" "Some call it a mutation" "Some call it evolution" "But the only ones that are right are those who think it's a blessing" "A blessing from a being beyond our meager existence" "A blessing from a god" "The law of name suggests that this blessing is not bestowed at random but follows a certain pattern" "It could be by direct meaning" "It could be by a story of the forgotten past" "It could even be through a silly wordplay but your name will affect a great aspect of your life and your power and no one gets to chose which aspect is affected." "As I spoke previously of my teacher's power, he is a market" "It is in the very core of his name" "There is almost nothing that can't be g

  • The air around him

"I was wondering why you didn't come to see me all this time" Orie said to Natsumi but got no reply. "You're usually the first to talk, you know" "Now you have me in an awkward position" "I already know what you want so I'm not going to ask" "But you have to tell me one thing" "HOW BADLY DO YOU WANT IT?" Edwin Law, official and only referee of the tournament. He had been officiating for the past two years but his name became well known after he declared Orie winner over Chris. He was rumored to be one of those who had "god eyes" but that match confirmed to the public that it was true. Eyes that see through deception, eyes that see what is true, eyes that nothing can escape, The eyes of the law. With his eyes he was able to see and perfectly replay past events in order to make sound judgement. Edwin's eyes allowed him to analyze all the previous matches he had officiated but even after replaying them over and over yet, he had no confidence in any possible outc
