Of the expectations that the people had, no one expected that a majority of the spectators would be okay with the outcome of the fight. They were sure that what they saw was real, they were sure that what they saw was fair, they were sure that the contestants gave it their all and they were sure that the winner deserved his victory.

Even those who didn't support him in the beginning were cheering for him with all their heart, even those who lost their bets because of him rejoiced at the sight.

There were many good fighters in the tournament, many who at the wave of their hands would cause marvelous sights but of all the fights in the tournament, Orie had shown them most invigorating.

The cheers went on for a while until people in the crowd began to notice that the referee was yet to formally declare a winner. Soon they noticed that orie had not made a single movement since the clearing of the dust, he was still standing but he could not move.

Though one person was on the floor while the other was standing, tournament rules maintained that a winner could not be declared if both fighters were unconscious. One of them had to wake up.

The referee moved closer to where they were and started to assess the situation. He first took a look at Chris who was on the floor and confirmed that he was out cold then he set his sights on Orie.

He was sure that Orie was also out but as he got closer, he began to hear an unfamiliar sound. He listened closely and noticed that it was the sound of Orie's heartbeat.

"Why is it beating so loud and fast?" The referee wondered as moved to get a closer look, and that was when he saw it.

Stepping away from the fighters, the referee faced the crowd to make an announcement.

"May I have your attention?" He said, tapping on the mic and everybody paid attention.

"After my assessment"

"I have concluded that the contestant Chris Vanadium will be disqualified"

"This is because of the use of lethal poison"

"Urgent medical care is required for the contestant Orie"

"I cannot assure you that he will be able to continue in this tournament"

"I cannot even assure you that he will see tomorrow"

Kojiro did not wait for the referee to finish his announcement, he immediately took down his barrier and ran into the arena to catch Orie before he fell. As the crowd watched, he darted out of the stadium with Orie and ran straight to the emergency room. The medical team then came to pick Chris up.

They stabbed him in the heart

They caused him a great wound

They had him from the start

And yet the lion stood

They came with all their strength

They brought in all their tools

They went to greater lengths

And yet the lion stood

They mocked him with their bets

They took him for a fool

They waited for his death

And yet the lion stood

They wanted his defeat

They were sure that they could

They said he wasn't fit

And yet the lion stood.

The mixed reactions, the confusion, the rage and all the anger soon came to an end and everywhere calmed down after a while.

Many had gotten their minds off the previous fight which was Orie's fight and were anticipating the next round.

What sparked great interest in the coming round was that it was a match between two people that have had the most boring fights since the beginnings of the tournament. These two people so far had ended all their fights in a manner of seconds.

The first was Kaen Amano, also known as the son fire. Third year chemistry teacher, great track record, three time champion of the teacher's tournament and loved by all. He had rumors going on about him that the only times Waramaki ever won against him were when he wasn't serious but one true fact was that Waramaki was the only one to ever win against him in the tournament.

The second person... was Natsumi Fubuki.

SHIN SEKAI SECRET: There not many people that can break through Kojiro's barrier. It can withstand high levels of pressure without even cracking.

"well, Mr Addison" Ellie said as the camera faced Orie. "What are your thoughts on the current state of the match?" "I'm really not sure" Orie replied "To be honest, this is the first time I've seen Her like that so I don't actually know what to expect" "But if I had to take a guess..." "... I'd say I'm glad she wasn't like this in our match" Natsumi missed her first strike, and her second, and her third, and her fourth, and... all her strikes, she missed all of it. As it turns out, Kurobe had quite the reflex and was really good at evasion and keeping the distance. Every time Natsumi got close, he quickly evaded and put distance between them, pushing her back, attacking from blind spots, setting walls between them and a Whole lot of moves that prevented him from getting hit but that didn't stop his opponent from trying. With each passing second, Natsumi got closer to landing a hit on Kurobe. At first it was him feeling the little breeze as her fist fle

  • Cold hard truth

Many things can anger a fighter. An opponent that toys with them, someone that just won't stay down and in many cases, a direct insult. But none of those things were happening to Kurobe, he was facing something far more annoying; an opponent that isn't paying attention to him. At first glance, it looked like Kurobe was dominating the match without giving his opponent any chance to counter, but there were many times since the beginning of the fight where Natsumi would have been able to strike back but did nothing instead. She had barely moved from where she was standing at the start and she was in deep thought. All Natsumi did from the beginning of the match was to fend off the incoming attacks while thinking about what Orie had said to her. "I have finally seen your true self" "I finally know you" She couldn't muster up the courage to ask him what he meant because she was too afraid of his answer. She was afraid of the truth. "If the real me is a monster...

  • Tears of a beautiful summer

Orie was finally on the offensive. His wind blasts weren't doing much damage but they were strong enough to throw his opponent off balance and disorganize her attacks. He was able to close the distance bit by bit with each successful blast and every one of them hit. Before Natsumi could tell what was going on, Orie was standing directly under her. "White" orie said with a smile as he looked at her from below, then he spun his staff and struck the floor with it. Natsumi immediately turned to guard against it but no wind came from Orie's direction, it came from above and pushed her down. As Natsumi struggled to stand up, Orie began walking towards her and spoke. "I wondered why my prayers weren't working on you" "It would stop you for a brief moment then she'd take care of the rest by will power" "After this encounter, I think I finally figured it out" "The reason why my prayers don't work and who you are" "You are Natsumi" "You are not a spirit tha
