Grey slowly got up and limped toward his motorbike. His heart was full of anger and disappointment. So many things had just happened within a few minutes, and each one felt so emotional.
He already suffered enough from Sonia’s family. They always mocked him, insulted him, and treated him like trash. But he never thought Sonia herself would go as far as cheating on him with her boss. All because she believed he was poor.
Still, Grey smiled a little.
In his family, before anyone could inherit the family property or take over the business, they had to go through several tests. His own test was to live with Sonia and her family while pretending to be a poor man.
And just like he expected, they all failed the test.
From Sonia’s grandmother to her little cousins, every single one of them treated him badly. Sonia herself led the way in disrespecting him.
Now, it was time to tell her the truth. He wanted to show her who he really was. But after what he saw at her office, he changed his mind.
She didn’t deserve to know the truth.
He walked to the parking space to get his motorbike. Just then, he heard fast footsteps behind him.
He turned and saw Sonia walking toward him with her hands on her waist. She had left her office and came all the way down just to meet him in public.
“You really have the audacity to interrupt a beautiful moment for me,” she said, standing in front of him. “So this is your plan huh?”
Grey didn’t answer. He remained calm.
Sonia looked around and laughed. “I knew it. I knew there was something unfortunate about you. No wonder your immediate family abandoned you.”
Grey looked at her. “Why are you here, Sonia?”
“To make something clear,” she said, flipping her hair. “I want a divorce. I can’t stay in this fake marriage anymore.”
Grey said nothing. He just listened.
“I’ve thought about it carefully,” she went on. “And after what happened today, I’m done. I already spoke to my family, and they all agree it’s time to end this marriage. Besides, I’m thinking of getting engaged to someone who actually matters.”
Grey raised one eyebrow. “Who?”
“My boss,” Sonia said proudly. “He’s rich, powerful and knows how to treat a woman like me. Not like you, depending on my family and riding old motorbikes.”
Grey gave a small nod. “So you’ve made up your mind.”
“Yes, I have,” she said sharply. “You should be happy, honestly. I’m giving you your freedom. Because without me and my family, you’ll soon be homeless.”
Grey stared at her. “Is that all?”
Sonia scoffed. “Don’t try to act like you don’t care. You’re just scared. You know without our help, you’re finished. The only reason you even survived this long is because you married into my family.”
Grey’s voice was steady. “If you want the divorce, send the papers.”
Sonia raised her chin. “I’ll do that. And when the papers come, you better sign them without delay.”
She turned to walk away, then paused. “One more thing,” she said with a mocking smile. “Don’t ever come near my office again. You’re not even qualified to step into the building. You don’t belong in our world, Grey. Stay far away.”
Without waiting for a reply, she walked off quickly and disappeared into the building.
Grey watched her leave. He looked around and noticed some workers nearby pretending not to watch. He smiled slightly.
He took out his phone and made a short call.
“Come pick me up at Mul-tax company’s premises,” he said. Then he ended the call.
A few minutes later, the same black G wagon pulled up quietly by the side of the building.
A smart-looking man stepped out and opened the back door.
Grey entered the car without saying a word. The door shut, and the car drove off.
Inside the vehicle, the assistant looked back at Grey from the front seat.
“Sir,” he said, “we have finished the check on Mul-tax company.”
“And?” Grey asked, his voice cold and calm.
“They are in a very bad financial situation. Bobby Loren has used the company funds to settle his personal debts. If we buy at least seventy percent of the shares, we can take full control of the company.”
Grey nodded slowly. “Start the acquisition immediately,” he said. “Make sure nobody knows my identity. I don’t want my name involved.”
“Yes, sir.”
A few weeks ago, Grey had instructed his loyalists to investigate the potential acquisition cost of the Mul-tax company. Initially, he intended to present it to Sonia as a thoughtful gift. However, plans have changed, and he is considering a different approach.
He sat back, closed his eyes, and took a deep breath. He thought about Sonia’s words again:
“Without me and my family, you’ll be homeless.”
“You’re not qualified to come near my office.”
He smiled to himself. Soon, not only would he enter her office, he would own the entire building... This was just the beginning.

The next morning, the sun rose quietly over the city. A soft breeze blew through the open window of a tall building where Grey stood, looking out at the busy streets below. He wore a sharp black suit, freshly ironed and neatly buttoned. His shoes were polished, his watch was shining, and his hair was carefully combed. He looked like a completely different man from the poor janitor people once mocked.Today, he was the boss.He turned away from the window and picked up his briefcase. His phone rang.A message came in from Mr. Liang, the man who helped him quietly buy the company through a secret investment group.“Everything is ready, sir. The staff are waiting for your arrival. Your private office is fully arranged. Welcome to your new company.”Grey gave a small smile. He replied with a simple: “On my way.”He stepped into the elevator of his high-rise apartment. The car waiting outside was not the old delivery bike he used to ride, but a black limited edition sedan with tinted windo

Help me get my job back. Please…”Gasps came from some family members.
