Manarah chuckled softly. “My ritual is finished. Master Zhao Jian is looking for both of you!”

“Alright, let’s return to the temple,” Fang Yun replied. He glanced around at the area damaged by the explosion, wondering—if that man was only a subordinate, what kind of power did his leader possess?

At the Red Lion Sect, the Red Lion Patriarch—Han Rong—who was with several of his elders in the main hall, suddenly stopped speaking. He had sensed that one of his disciples had activated his forbidden technique—The Annihilation Blast.

“Tang Fei? Peng Fang? Who used that technique?” he asked in his heart. He could only wait for the return of the two.

Meanwhile, Fang Yun and Zhao Wen were already in Zhao Jian’s chamber. They were still waiting for Zhao Jian, who was observing Zhen Ni’s ritual.

Moments later, Zhao Jian entered the room.

“Do you two know what that explosion was?”

Fang Yun and Zhao Wen both nodded. “Fang Yun experienced it firsthand, Grandfather,” Zhao Wen answered.

  • Battle Against Two Soldiers

Fang Yun glanced toward the massive gate, which would soon close. In a flash, he sprinted forward and slipped through just in time. A moment’s delay and Zhao Wen would likely be trapped in the Genie realm. The young man tumbled out of the gate, rolling over the thick grassland. He quickly looked around to assess the situation. In the distance, his eyes caught sight of a towering structure. He figured that must be the Genie Kingdom, Liam Fu—had spoken of.Fang Yun placed the Yellow Bamboo he held against his left wrist. As before, the bamboo shortened and coiled itself neatly around his wrist. With sharp eyes scanning his surroundings, he began walking toward the grand structure he assumed to be the Genie Kingdom’s palace. He hoped nothing would interfere before he reached it.Upon arriving at the massive and sturdy gate, two guards fixed their sharp gazes on him. But they made no move against him—they could sense the strong demonic aura radiating from his body.Without a smile, Fang Y

  • The Three Guardians

Three towering gatekeepers, armed with spears and bearing fearsome faces with two long fangs at the corners of their mouths, stood before Fang Yun, their weapons poised.“I must defeat them before the gate closes,” he thought. Fang Yun knew he had to make the most of the short time and the narrow cave to end this quickly.“I know there’s no reasoning with you, but one way or another, I have to get inside,” Fang Yun said coldly, spinning the yellow bamboo in his hands rapidly. The three gatekeepers were startled when they saw the yellow bamboo in Fang Yun’s grasp. They knew well that this was a weapon made specifically to combat the genie race like themselves.Still, surrender was not an option. Their duty was to guard the gate from any intruder or other spirit, and they would fulfill it to the letter.A fierce wind roared as the yellow bamboo in Fang Yun’s hands spun faster. In the blink of an eye, before they even realized it, Fang Yun had already dashed forward, targeting one of the

Fang Yun tried to remain calm as he saw it happen. He didn’t want to show any sign of nervousness in front of the white light now floating before him.“I want directions to where the entrance gate to the Genie realm is located. Please, show me,” Fang Yun said.“Why do you want to enter the Genie realm?”“My friend was taken by a female genie into her realm, and now he’s in danger.”“Very well, I will show you. But first, you must defeat the gatekeeper before entering the Genie realm. Are you ready?”“I’m ready to do anything as long as my friend is safe!” Fang Yun replied firmly.“Close your eyes!” the voice commanded.Fang Yun closed his eyes, and moments later, he felt something placed in his hand.“Use this yellow bamboo as your guide, and as your weapon when fighting them!” the voice instructed.Fang Yun opened his eyes, nodded, and watched as the white light floated upward before vanishing. His gaze lingered on it as he kept thinking of ways to rescue Zhao Wen. No matter what, Zhao Wen was his friend—more than that, he had promised Zhao Jian to always protect his only grandson.Curiosity made Fang Yun stand up and approach the long grave. He crouched down and pulled out the grass growing on top of it until it was clean."You seem to be in serious trouble, young man."The voice of an old man startled Fang Yun.He turned and saw the same elderly man he had met earlier at the edge of the Forest of Death, still wearing the same clothes and the bamboo hat that constantly shadowed his face."Grandfather…?
