The Prime Minister of the Zhou Dynasty raised his hand, gripping his sword tightly.

Outside the capital city, the soldiers of the Jayamukti Dynasty continued advancing toward the city gates.

When they reached about fifty meters before the gate, Prime Minister Luo Heng raised his hand, signaling his troops to stop.

From behind, about a thousand archers stepped forward and released their arrows toward the Zhou capital.

The volley of arrows from the Jayamukti archers rained down like a torrential storm upon the city.

Fang Yun and Prime Minister Dao Xiang were taken aback by the sudden barrage that far exceeded their expectations.

“Step aside for a moment, Prime Minister!”

Fang Yun leapt high into the air, conjuring an enormous shield of fire to block the tens of thousands of arrows aimed at the city gates.

What Fang Yun did left both armies in shock. The speeding arrows ignited upon contact with the blazing barrier and fell to the ground in ashes.

Prime Minister Luo Heng was no less asto

The chilling sound of death filled the air. Zhao Wen did not stop. His sword spun again and again, killing over a thousand soldiers within moments. The unarmed soldiers dared not approach even after realizing who was attacking them. Their focus split between escaping the flames and the mysterious soldier slaughtering them. From the rooftops, Fang Yun watched and smiled faintly. He knew Zhao Wen’s immense power came at a cost—his inner energy would soon run dry. When the green aura of the Demonic Jade Sword finally faded, Fang Yun unleashed his own technique. • Attack on the Next Enemy Fortress

After almost half a day of traveling, they finally reached the next concentration point of the enemy forces. The daylight still lingered, making it too risky to approach the fortress directly. They stopped at a small hill located quite a distance away from the enemy stronghold. From the top of the hill, they could clearly see the massive fortress, guarded under strict vigilance. Dozens of soldiers patrolled around the stone-walled perimeter.“The plan might change once we see the real situation. For now, we’ll still prioritize a night attack. It’ll be easier to retreat if things go wrong,” said Fang Yun.Since the fortress was closer to the imperial palace, it obviously contained a larger garrison—something the three had anticipated. By their rough estimation, there were at least twenty-five thousand soldiers inside, and the fortress itself was much larger than the first one they had attacked.By late afternoon—after three hours of observation—they began to notice a pattern. Every hou

  • No Mercy for the Traitor

The two great energies could not be kept apart any longer and collided in midair. The resulting pressure threw more than a dozen disciples of the Golden Staff Sect several paces back. Not only that, the interior of the sect was shrouded in thick dust and black smoke that obscured vision. Zhao Wen and Fang Yun could only wait anxiously for the smoke and dust to clear. They were clearly worried about the girl’s condition — it was the first time Mei Hwa had fought and released energy of that magnitude. Not wanting to wait too long to confirm Mei Hwa’s condition, Fang Yun swept his hand, sending a gust of wind to dissipate the thick dust. Their anxiety faded when Mei Hwa’s figure appeared standing, the Sky Sword still clutched in her hand. Her face was tense and sweat the size of corn kernels streamed down. Her breathing was rapid and ragged, as if a heavy burden pressed on her chest. Fang Yun and Zhao Wen scanned the surroundings in search of Yao Li, but the bald man was nowhere

  • The Golden Staff Sect II

Yun Fei, confident that he could defeat Mei Hwa and Zhao Wen, lunged forward with his sword flashing in a blur of silver light. Each strike sought an opening in Mei Hwa’s flawless defense. Zhao Wen, forbidden by Mei Hwa to interfere, stood by and observed, ready to step in if needed. Yet he could clearly see that the graceful girl’s strength far surpassed Yun Fei’s. The tall man’s attacks came fast and fierce, leaving no room for Mei Hwa to counter. It wasn’t that she couldn’t strike back—she simply chose not to. Fang Yun had ordered her to capture Yun Fei alive, and that was proving to be the most difficult part of the task. Mei Hwa danced lightly around each deadly strike, deflecting and dodging while searching for a precise moment to deliver a blow that would disable, not kill. Meanwhile, inside the Golden Staff Sect, Elder Yao Li’s face burned crimson with rage after being humiliated by Fang Yun in front of the other three elders and his disciples. For a man who had lived ove

  • The Golden Staff Sect

Fang Yun opened his eyes after Xiao Tian’s spirit vanished from his thoughts. Rising to his feet, he stepped out of his room.“Zhao, Mei…” he called softly as he saw Zhao Wen and Mei Hwa walking toward him.“Where are you going?” Zhao Wen asked.“I was about to go look for you two,” Fang Yun replied with a faint smile.“When shall we continue our journey? Have you finished your meditation?”“I have. We’ll leave at dawn tomorrow for the Golden Staff Sect. For tonight, we’ll stay here and rest. Did you bring any food? I’m starving.” Fang Yun placed a hand on his stomach, which had been empty since his full-day meditation. The next morning, the three young warriors rode their horses slowly out of the inn. Once they had left the small town behind, they urged their mounts onward, galloping swiftly in the direction of the Golden Staff Sect.Nearly two days later, under the blazing midday sun, they arrived at the great gates of the sect.Four bald-headed disciples stood guard, eyeing them sh

The beast, master of the earth element, moved beneath the surface, tearing through layers of soil and stone. The land roared as if struck by an enormous quake.Buildings that had barely survived the earlier inferno now collapsed, crushing the remaining soldiers who had escaped the pull of the vortex, burying them alive beneath the earth.Massive cracks split open across the fortress grounds, swallowing everything that stood above them.Fang Yun fought to maintain his stance, his body trembling as his inner energy drained away. He had not anticipated that wielding multiple elements at once would consume so much of his life force. The Earth Dragon rampaged endlessly, overturning the ground with relentless fury.
