About an hour after Benjamin left for work, Elizabeth came down the stairs and greeted her mother-in-law who was applying raw, unpasteurized milk to her skin.

“I’m going to the mayor’s party. Do you want me to bring anything for you?” she asked Selena. “Wait,” she waved her hand before her nose. “What’s this nasty smell?”

“Mm? It’s not from the milk,” Selena sniffed the air and then her gaze shifted toward the dustbin. “It must be from the pizza box in the dustbin. I threw it there yesterday.”

“What? Pizza is smelling this bad in just one day?” Elizabeth blurted. “That’s horrible. Just what shop it was ordered from?” Her shoulders shivered. She called for the maids and told them to clear the dustbin right away. And then she went her way.
