In the Sterling villa, Selena was talking with someone on her mobile. “Yes, Mr. Alan. I’d really appreciate that.”

She ended the call and was smiling.

“Was that a lawyer you were talking to?” Jacob asked her. Both of them were sitting opposite to each other on couches.

“Yeah. Alan Hector. He’s been a judge for fourteen years,” Selena said. “And guess what? He’s never once supported a husband in his judgment over the objection of the wife. Men lost their homes, businesses, and savings because of him.”

Jacob frowned. “W-Why are you talking to him now?”

“Haha,” Selena chuckled. “Don’t worry, Charlie. I’m not going to divorce you. I’m talking with Alan for our daughter’s sake.”

“You think she’ll divorce the delivery guy?” Jacob asked.

“I don’t think so. I know so,” Selena confidently said. “And when she does divorce him, I’ll make sure that not only Benjamin will get nothing, he would in return have to pay Rebecca alimony for the rest of his life.”
