CHAPTER 10

Dora wanted to help Lux Arden, but she didn't know how to speak up.

Even if it was the Blackwood family who committed the murder in front of Paxton and Anthony, they would still be caught by the law.

Paxton and Anthony were also frowning, trying to figure out what words to use to dismiss the many eyewitnesses present.

Lux Arden's face became somewhat unpleasant, and he said coldly, "Their hands have already reached Marlowe, yet you still know nothing about them?" Paxton and Anthony lowered their heads in shame.

Passers-by stopped to watch and discuss. In the crowd, a man who bore some resemblance to Elliott Kane took out his phone.

After a brief conversation, his face twisted in anger and he crushed the phone before disappearing into the crowd.

At the Backwood family villa, Dora had just arrived and quickly introduced Lux Arden to her family, reminding them to show respect and not offend him.

The Blackwood family members were confused as to why Dora was so concerned about a doctor.

But after taking a closer look at Lux Arden's fair complexion, they guessed the reason.

They teased Dora, making her blush. Lux Arden ignored their playful glances and followed Dora to Knox Blackwood bedroom.

However, they were stopped by an old man at the door.

"Stop! Who are you? You can't just barge into the master's bedroom!"

"Grandpa Zayn, this is Mr. Lux, the doctor I invited to treat my grandfather. He cured me of my sudden illness today," Dora explained.

She then introduced Lux Arden to Zayn, the Backwood family's caretaker.

Zayn had been with Knox Blackwood for many years and never allowed strangers to approach him without reason.

Dora hoped that by using a more intimate term of address, "Brother Lux" she could bring the two men closer together.

However, Lux Arden paid no attention to this and showed no respect to Zayn, a skilled martial artist.

He casually waved his hand and pushed Zayn aside.

Zayn was greatly shocked.
