After pondering for a long time, Philip knew that the other party's words made sense.

However, he couldn't swallow his pride when he thought of the contemptuous look that Dora gave him, which was similar to that of Lux Arden.

He carefully calculated in his mind.

It was true that the Blackwood family was wealthy and influential, but they had never had any dealings with him.

Compared to that, the Elliott Kane that Lux Arden held was a money tree that was hard to find even with a lantern.

If he let Lux Arden go today, not only would the Blackwood family not appreciate it, but he would also suffer huge losses.

In comparison, the choice was clear. But what if the Blackwood family pursued it afterwards?

Philip came up with a poisonous plan in his mind and turned to his subordinate, whispering, "Clean up everyone later, and don't leave a single survivor."

The subordinate's eyes widened in horror upon hearing this. He never expected Philip to be so crazy.

But Philip didn't care about his subordinate's surprised look at all.

He looked at Dora maliciously and said, "Miss Dora, please step aside and don't interfere with me carrying out my duties. Otherwise, I will have to treat you as his accomplice and execute you on the spot!"

"Philip, how dare you!" Dora was furious and wanted to confront Philip.

But who would have thought that Philip would frame her and say, "Okay, the Blackwood family is helping the tyrant and openly attacking the police. Today, I will eliminate harm for the people!"

As he spoke, he showed a crazy smile on his face and opened the safety switch of his gun.

Just as Philip was about to take action, a sudden voice sounded from outside the door.

"Oh? What a great act of serving the people, Philip, you are truly a model for us all!" Philip was so angry that his facial features twisted.

He just wanted to deal with a small fry, but there always seemed to be someone who would come out and obstruct him.

But when Philip saw who was speaking, he suddenly sobered up.

"Paxton.. Director Paxton, what brings you here?" Philip looked panicked.

"We came to observe and learn from you, Philip, on how to handle cases!" Director Paxton said with a smile.

Behind Director Paxton, Anthony, the mayor of Marlowe City, appeared and said something that made Philip's face turn ugly.

But they were not the only ones who came. Following behind Anthony were several officials of all sizes, an unprecedented grandeur.

To everyone's surprise, under Anthony's lead, the officials all bowed and paid their respects to Lux Arden.

Philip was stunned.

Dora was also surprised. She whispered to Wynn, "Wynn, what is Lux's identity?" But Wynn just shook his head and smiled bitterly, just as confused as Dora.

Only Elliott Kane was not surprised at all. His face turned gray and lifeless, and the arrival of Director Paxton and Mayor Anthony had confirmed his Suspicion.

Lux Arden was the Black Dragon, and today, Elliott Kane was undoubtedly doomed!

Anthony shouted at Philip, "What are you standing there for? Put away your gun now!" Philip was startled by the shout and regained some clarity.

Although he didn't know who had alerted these big shots, it was undoubtedly all for Lux Arden.

If they let Lux Arden go today, it would be like releasing a tiger back to the mountain.

Then all the shameful things he had done over the years would be exposed. That was enough to get him executed ten times over!

With this in mind, Philip made up his mind. He couldn't let Lux Arden go no matter what today.

"Paxton, isn't this inappropriate? He has killed so many people and still has a hostage in his hands!" Philip retorted with a dark face.

"You..."

Paxton was so angry that he couldn't speak, and his hands were shaking.

Anthony, the top person in Marlowe City, was also furious and shouted at Philip for disobeying orders.

But Philip didn't care at all. Now he was like an arrow on the string, he had to shoot it.

"Kid, I warn you, release Elliott Kane now and surrender, or l'll kill you right now!"

After hearing this, Lux Arden released his grip on Elliott Kane's neck and threw him heavily to the ground.

Philip was overjoyed to see this. He admitted that Lux Arden was very skilled, but even the most skilled person was as fragile as a block of tofu in the face of guns and bullets.

Lux Arden's reaction was satisfactory to him.

A humble little person should obey his orders and give him what he wants.

The feeling of having the power of life and death in his hands was so comfortable that Philip couldn't help but forget himself.

He laughed smugly.

But in the next second, his smile froze on his face.

Lux Arden actually stomped on the head of Elliott Kane right in front of him!

The red and white filth splattered all over him, almost making him vomit on the spot.

"You bastard! l'll kill you!" Philip shouted, forcibly suppressing the discomfort in his stomach and pulling the trigger.

"Stop!!"

Everyone exclaimed at Philip.

But it was too late.

The bullet shot towards Lux Arden's forehead, and it looked like it was going to blow his head apart.

The twin sisters screamed in horror, covering their eyes and unable to bear to watch their savior die on the spot.

Paxton and the top people in Marlowe were pale, as if they had seen the end of the world.

Dora was in tears, her whole body weeping like a bereaved person.

Just when everyone thought Lux Arden was bound to die, he moved.

He was like a ghost, and his figure disappeared in a flash.

"Ah!!!"

When Lux Arden reappeared, everyone realized that Philip's gun had been held in his hand and turned into a pile of parts.

Philip was lying on the ground, his legs broken, and he was screaming in agony. But the screams lasted for less than a moment before disappearing without a trace.

The bullet hole on his forehead, still bleeding, announced his death.

Everything happened too fast. The crowd could hardly believe that a human could do such things.

But compared to all of this, Dora was more concerned about the consequences of Lux Arden's actions.

After all, Lux Arden had killed a captain of the Public Security Bureau in front of the heads of the Marlowe Police and Political Departments!

She couldn't help but worry deeply for Lux Arden. However, Paxton and Anthony and others just glanced coldly at the still-warm body of Philip.

They all remained silent.

After all, how could they interfere with the decision made by the Black Dragon Sentinel?

Salome reluctantly suppressed his displeasure and replied, "Yes, she's a college classmate of mine, in the same major. It's been a long time since we last met." "But it seems like she's not very friendly towards you. Do you have any grudges between you?" Suzzy asked further. Salome hesitated for a moment and replied, "Not really, we just had some competition during the major evaluation in college. She lost to me a few times and was a bit resentful." "l just didn't expect that after all these years, she still holds a grudge." When Suzzy heard this, a strange color flashed in her eyes, and the smile on her face became even more intense and inexplicable. "Okay, the interview is about to begin. You shouldn't chat here anymore. Go and prepare." Suzzy clapped her hands and dispersed the crowd a

Ava was so angry that she couldn't do anything about Amelia's unreasonable behavior. Lux Arden felt a warm feeling in his heart when he heard Ava's concern for his safety. However, to avoid worrying her too much and being blamed for his recklessness after knowing the truth, he decided to lie. "Oh, I was just eager to help save Salome. When the fire brigade arrived, I went to help move the fire equipment. The fire is almost extinguished now, so they didn't need me anymore, and that's why l came back." Ava let out a long sigh, pinched Lux Arden's sleeve that had been burned black, dusted off the smoke on his hair, and relaxed her expression. "You really scared me. I thought you went into the fire alone to save Salome. Do you know how worried I was? I was afraid you wouldn't come back." "Fortunately, Sentinel God King appeared and saved Salome. Now that you're back safely, it's a close call, and I can finally relax a bit." Lux Arden frowned at the mention of "Sentinel God King." He didn't expect everyone to give him such a title. However, he didn't care to

Upon hearing this, Selma frowned slightly and said, "Come on, Mr. Joe, it's nothing serious. Don't make a big deal out of it." Mr. Joe, he housekeeper, retorted with a serious expression, "Miss, how can you say it's not a big deal? You are the young lady of the prestigious Bowen family! You were trapped in a fire and almost died. How can that be considered a small matter?" "Next time, you can't go out alone. You must have bodyguards accompanying you!" "Let's go back to the mansion now. We need to call all the renowned doctors in Marlowe to have a consultation and make sure there are no hidden dangers." The Thompson sisters realized the identity of the stunning woman in front of them. In the entire Marlowe city, only the first family, the Bowen family, could have such a grand scene and casually use a private helicopter. The woman in front of them must be Selma Bowen, the apple of the old patriarch's eye and the Bowen family's young lady who was praised as a goddess by the

Two stunning beauties, with despair on their faces, were driving Lux Arden away, having completely lost the courage to continue the struggle. They were ready to accept their fate calmly. However, Lux Arden frowned and whispered, "Don't give up so easily. We will definitely find a way to escape." The beautiful woman shook her head tearfully and replied, "What else can we do? Jump off the building? It's more than twenty floors high. Even if the fire department puts out safety airbags, it won't help. We are at a dead end." She burst into tears again. However, this simple sentence awakened Lux Arden. Because Ava had once said that she didn't want to be besieged by the media and just wanted to live a peaceful life. Therefore, Lux Arden had been thinking only of rescuing people discreetly, avoiding exposing his identity and using force. But the situation in front of him was extremely critical, and he couldn't afford to hold back anymore. Moreover, with his current appe
