The Job He Wants

Linda stared at Cole as if he had grown hundred heads for him to speak with such confidence.

“What?” She exclaimed in total shock.

Cole’s brows jumped up. “You heard me right.” He said with pursed lips.

“I completely heard you wrong.” She countered immediately.

“There is no way I would let you get the position of the project manager. That is one of the most important positions in the company. We can’t just give it to a nobody.” She hissed out, a slight dirty frown appearing on her face.

Cole smirked as he relaxed against the seat with his arms folded. “Well, that is what I want. I don't care what you think.” He told her, his left brow jolting up a bit.

“You don't? Project management needs to be in the care of someone who has a strategic and creative mind, not someone who has little or no qualifications for the job.” She said, blinking hard.

Cole blinked innocently. “Like I said. I don't give a damn about what you think qualification is. I have chosen what I want and you as the secret
