High on a mountain peak, a man sat under an ancient elder tree in deep meditation. His eyes were shut and an onlooker would think he was no longer alive. The man’s body was powerfully built, dressed in ancient armor and mail, exuding power and domination. Vines entwined around him and flowers grew out of his armor, making the spectacle extremely bizarre.
It was a bright but cool morning, and nature was in perfect harmony. Insects raked, birds sang, and animals joined the chorus. Nobody would expect what universe-altering event was about to happen. The man was old indeed, but only of age. He had lived for centuries and yet had the physical constitution of a forty-year-old man in his prime. His aura was thick and divine like a god. He was, in simple terms, an immortal. The tiny planet, Erode, was his sanctuary and prison. It was a quarter the size of the Earth’s moon. One could drive around the planet’s circumference in a day. It had a modest blue sea and two new-fold mountain ranges. Plants, insects, and smaller animals were plentiful. However, there were no intelligent beings in sight. Crack! A rift appeared in the sky. Out of it, a figure emerged in an explosion of brilliance. A visitor? That was a highly irregular phenomenon. Nobody else had arrived in Erode in the past five hundred years. The figure floated down from the skies, approaching the man. “Open your eyes, fallen god!” it commanded in a silky, feminine voice. The man’s eyes fluttered open. A gorgeous woman hovered high above him. She was tall and dressed provocatively in leather. In her hand was an ancient, pitch-black staff. It was embossed and engraved with elaborate divine symbols. The woman descended mid-air as if there were invisible steps. Small puffs of wind appeared under her shoes as she stepped down. Her voluptuous breasts bobbed as she moved, threatening to pop out of the cups. Her leather skirt ribbons fluttered in the air, revealing smooth, toned thighs and hips. The woman finally landed on the ground, and a flush of flowers sprouted around her feet. A black nightingale flew from a tree and sat on her right shoulder. Roosters cawed from all around the mountain. Rabbits approached and bounced around her. They hopped over each other, building a low, furry chair. The beauty sat on it gracefully, crossing one leg over another. The entire scene would make an ordinary spectator get an erection; such were the feminine wiles of the divine woman. However, the man before her was far from ordinary. He was Eros, the god of love, sex, lust, and perversion. “Who are you, may I ask, sweet goddess?” he posed with grace. His voice was music to the woman’s ears, and she secretly longed to hear more. She smirked seductively. “I think you already know who I am, Great Sage. But let me introduce myself. I am Karina, the new incarnation of Eros. I have come here to kill you and take my rightful place as the Goddess of Love.” The man sighed as if he was disappointed by the answer. “Do you know me well, Karina? Or is this a reckless adventure?” “I know who you are, Great Sage,” the beauty scoffed. “You are the cardinal Eros. However, I have realized other things. Your power drove you mad, and you seduced and bedded millions of women in creation. The assembly of gods arrested your rampage and banished you for all the heinous acts.” The man interlocked his fingers in contemplation. “If you know how strong I am, what gave you the courage to challenge me this far?”

Chapter 29 The Return
The portal’s light faded, and Pan stumbled onto the cracked asphalt of Cloyster Academy’s courtyard, the familiar stench of stale cafeteria fries and teenage sweat replacing the meadow’s floral sweetness. His torn robe, crusted with blood and ash, hung awkwardly, the glowing sigil on his right bicep pulsing faintly beneath the fabric. The Artemis flame smoldered in his chest, a reminder of the Freak Lord’s defeat and Eros’s warnings about the assembly of gods. His siblings—Blaze, Penny, Zete, Ivy, Cory, and Jackie—materialized around him, their crisp robes and bruised faces drawing gasps from the crowd. Chapter 28 The Heir's Destiny
"Your bonds, whatever they become, are your strength. The Freak Lord was a test, orchestrated by my liaisons—Felix, Jewel, and the rest—to draw out your powers: Cory’s speed with afterimages, Ivy’s seductive freezing, Blaze’s inhuman strength, Jackie’s animal shapeshifting, Penny’s binding voice, Zete’s analytical mind, and Pandion’s flame and healing touch.”Jewel hopped forward, his throat bobbing nervously. “It’s true, kid,” he croaked, his eyes darting to Pan. “Felix got greedy, tried to twist the test for his own ends. He’s… being dealt with. We had to make it real to spark your gifts. You, Pandion, mastered that flame when Zete pushed you to see it wasn’t random.”Pan’s jaw tightened, his glare shifting from Jewel to Zete, who stood adjusting his glasses, unfazed. “You saved us back there,” Pan said, his tone softer, gratitude breaking through his anger. “How’d you know I could control the flame?”Zete’s voice was clipped, precise. “Patterns, Pandion. Chapter 27 Eros
Pan stood in the meadow where their journey began, his torn robe stiff with dried sweat and blood, the new sigil on his right bicep pulsing faintly after his Artemis flame had incinerated the Freak Lord. The air was warm, scented with wildflowers and fresh grass, a stark contrast to the cavern’s musk. His siblings—Blaze, Penny, Zete, Ivy, Cory, and Jackie—gathered around, their bruised and battered forms a testament to their survival. Jackie, wrapped in Cory’s oversized robe, leaned into him, their hands clasped, her soft laugh at his whispered joke cutting through the tension. Cory’s grin was easy, his fingers brushing hers, a quiet intimacy in their closeness. Penny stood close to Pan, her steady gaze sparking a warmth in his chest that made his heart race, her presence grounding him after the chaos. Blaze and Ivy shared a heated glance, their chemistry palpable, making Zete shift uncomfortably, muttering about statistical improbabilities under his breath. The liaisons—Jewel, Fluffy

Cory nodded, already a blur, afterimages trailing. “What’s the plan?”Pan’s mind raced. Felix called this a test for their powers. His flame hurt the creature, but it wasn’t enough alone. The others had shown glimpses of their gifts. “We use our powers,” he shouted. “Like the couples test—I pushed their desire. We trap this thing, hit it hard!”Cory skidded, afterimages fading. “Trap it? With what?”“Our gifts!” Pan yelled, dodging a tentacle. “Wake them!”Cory reached Blaze, punching freaks off with dizzying speed. “Up, big guy!” Blaze stirred, flexing, and crushed a freak with one hand, his inhuman strength cracking stone. Jackie shifted into a hawk, soaring to Zete, talons ripping freaks off. She landed, shifting back, Cory’s robe slipping.Pan ran for Penny, ducking a tentacle that grazed his back, stinging.
