Anna hesitated for a moment before speaking, "Jaren and I were just discussing old times. It's been some time since we've seen each other."

Landon nodded, seemingly satisfied with her answer, before excusing himself and taking his leave.

Jaren breathed a sigh of relief as the door closed behind Landon, the tension in the room dissipating. He knew that they needed to be more careful in their planning if they were to successfully overthrow Landon and his regime.
