Ethan was startled by the question mostly because he hadn't expected it.

The mask he wore at this point had become a part of his daily living with most accepting it as something of a symbol of the icon, Mr. Ghost.

Taking a moment to gather his thoughts, Ethan posed a question of his own. “Why do you ask?”

“I am merely curious. The last time we met you hadn't worn a mask, so why do you wear one now?”

Ethan contemplated his best to answer before calmly remarking. “A means to elicit curiosity from most people that come across me.”

“Just that?” Louisa didn't seem convinced.

“Indeed. Do you think I wish to obscure my identity?”

“Isn't that why you don't use your real name and instead opt for the title, Mr. Ghost.”

“Mr. Ghost is not just a title, Miss Goldberg, for indeed, in a sense, I am a ghost,” Ethan remarked as he leaned back in his chair, radiating a strange aura that seemed cold, almost like a corpse.
