Today is a day of you guessed it opportunities!

And almost like this was some cheesy slice-of-life light novel. Something has to happen today. I don't know what but something is gonna happen today.

Though, unlike a normal day, I'm not gonna be there for it I'm going to stay in my room all day today and nothing's gonna stop me from-

And just like that, I found myself downstairs to a scent the gods blessed me with.

The smell was coming from the kitchen and that was weird cause I don't think anyone here can cook..especially Gabriel and Eli-

A shiver went down my spine as I just thought about it.

I kept following the smell to see Miya there.

"You can cook??" I was flabbergasted, surprised, and amazed at what other words there were to explain how surprised I was.

She looked at me in an offended "what does that mean?" as I inch next to her to see what she was making.

"Can I have some?" I asked eyes as big as a puppy dog begging for food ….well this isn't far off from that.

She looked like she wanted to say no but couldn't because if she did she would never hear the end of it from me. I will beg her until she gives it to me!

I sat down at the table with a plate of Tom yum gong I think it was called.

I took my first bite and before I knew it the bowl was empty.

"More please!" I raised my bowl to Miya. She sighed but I knew she liked that someone enjoyed what she made.

I finished the food again and looked at her with a face that looked like it was drunk from drinking just soup.

"Where were you when we had to eat Gabriel's cooking-"

I wiped tears from my eyes.

"You don't understand, I pretended to like that new year's surprise stew."

Speaking of Gabriel he hasn't been doing so hot for the past couple of days ever since we went out that day he's been depressed.

I tried talking to him a couple of times but he would always give me one-word answers which aren't like him at all-

"Haru-...Haru?" Miya tried to get my attention as I went on in my mind about my best friend.

"You on earth?"

"Oh-....yeah-"

I looked at my bowl and back at her…

"More please!" I gave her my bowl again but was met with a ladle to the face.

Results for today's mission …..Haru was successful.
