“Why?”

“If Alex finds out what we’re doing, he’ll expose our secret relationship!”

Jack cut her off by pressing his lips against her neck.

“Don’t worry, that weak slum must be slacking off somewhere as usual.”

“Jack, I’m serious… ahh~~”

“You never are,” he cut in, laughing low. “And you’re not honest.”

Jack’s hand slid lower, and his expression twisted in pure, selfish ecstasy.

“Look at you. Your body is much more honest than you—you’re already soaking wet.”

Inside the luxurious, dimly lit bedroom of the Fairchild Mansion, silk sheets were twisted like snakes across the bed.

The woman moaned softly, eyes glazed with desire, creamy skin exposed beneath a dress that had ridden up to the tops of her thighs.

She and Jack were entangled on the bed, oblivious to the third person in the room.

Hidden behind the recliner’s backrest, Alex Morningstar jerked upright as a long, pleasure‑soaked moan knifed through the air.

Sophia?

Was that his wife?

Two years ago, when Grandpa Fairchild asked him to marry his beloved granddaughter Sophia and support her in his behalf, Alex had originally rejected.

Given his secretive background and past unnamed enemies, he knew that, for any good woman, he might not be the best match because he might bring her danger.
