After making up his mind, Ryan did not stay in the abandoned warehouse for too long. He simply fixed his wounds, quickly adjusted his mentality, then opened the evolution system again and chose his own way of adding points.

Considering that a large number of zombies would attack in a few hours, he must use these five attributes reasonably in order to ensure his own survival, and then find the people who betrayed him in order to complete his first revenge of the apocalypse.

He had six points in Constitution, the highest value among all attributes, but in comparison, his Strength points are slightly insufficient.

After careful consideration, he added most of the attributes to strength to ensure that he would not be too weak in battle.

Of course, brute force alone was not enough to guarantee the chance of survival in a doomsday environment, so he saved two attribute points and added them all to dexterity. If he couldn't win, at least he would have a chance to run for his life.

As for mental power, Ryan couldn't consider it that much for the time being. He could only wait until the next allocation and then consider how to balance them.

After adding the points, he came to the ventilation window of the warehouse, took a deep breath, and stretched out his hands. He tightly grasped the metal barricade on the surface of the ventilation window, pulling it apart with force.

Looking at the metal frame, thick as a pinky finger, that he had forcibly bent, Ryan felt both delighted and extremely surprised.

There was no doubt about the explosive power of a deviant was different from those of ordinary people. Even just the first evolution could give him power which was several times that of an ordinary person.

He looked up silently, staring at the gray sky outside, then let out a long breath. Thank God for giving him a chance to evolve at the point of death. His timid nature was dead with his old self. Now, he was a survivalist who was also seeking to level up his mutation.

After the metal barricade of the ventilation window was finally removed, Ryan picked up a black stick, put it on his back, and crawled out of the storage room that had made him feel suffocated for a long time.

It was almost dark, and the outskirts of the city were shrouded in a gray gloom. The once prosperous and bubbling city had long since turned into a charred ruin of bloodshed.

Ryan carefully observed his surroundings. After making sure that there were no zombies around, he took a deep breath and then turned towards the factory cafeteria. That was where most of the survivors were staying.

Ever since the apocalypse broke out three months ago, almost everyone living nearby had flocked to the factory cafeteria, serving as a safe zone.

The place was not only spacious, but also stored a large amount of food and clean water, enough to meet the consumption of dozens of people. However, as time went on, the food in the cafeteria soon ran out.

In the first place, the reason why Ryan took the initiative to leave the cafeteria was because he was so hungry that he had no choice but to run outside to find something to eat with one of the survivors, Wallace.

They had found some food and were preparing to return when they were besieged by a group of zombies on the way.

Ryan could have been the first to run away, but because he couldn't bear to see a fellow survivor in the hands of the undead, he decided to help. However, he never expected that he would be betrayed and kicked him into the zombie's swarm.

Now, he couldn't wait to see the expression on Wallace’s face when he found out that he was not dead but had become a deviant.

He closed his eyes, suppressed the hatred in his heart, wrapped his shirt tightly, and walked quickly towards the cafeteria.

It was already very dark outside. Those ferocious and bloodthirsty zombies would become more active now. So, he hastened to the outside of the cafeteria, near the barbed wire specially built to defend against zombies.

Just as he was about to climb over the net and make his way to the cafeteria, he suddenly heard a strange growl close to him. Before he could turn around, a foul stench hit him just as a black shadow with tattered clothes and twisted limbs crawled out from the ruins.

The creepy zombie, grinning with a hideous, black and smelly mouth, quickly jumped towards his back.

If it had been in the past, Ryan would have been scared half to death by the sudden attack, and become zombie food. But now, he just turned his heel slightly, spun his body around, and easily avoided the pounce of the black shadow, then swung his left arm and punched out fiercely.

The fist hit the zombie's side face, dislodging the zombie's eyeball. Then he kicked the zombie and stepped hard on its back with his feet, fixing it firmly on the barbed wire.. He pulled out the stick from his back and hit the zombie's shriveled head hard.

He put away the stick, climbed over the barbed wire, and jumped to the open space outside the cafeteria, and breathed a sigh of relief before walking forward.

Soon, he arrived at the entrance to the cafeteria.

In order to resist zombies, the survivors had reinforced and modified all the doors and windows of the cafeteria, so people outside could not open the door easily.

Just as Ryan was thinking about whether he should knock on the door, he heard a burst of messy footsteps. Before he could turn around, a beam of flashlight shot out from the darkness and shone directly on his face. Then, he heard a familiar scolding voice,

"Hey, stop there! Identity yourself!"

"It's okay, Lucas. It's me, Ryan." Ryan blocked the light on his face with his hands. Although he did not turn around, he had already recognized the identity of the person who came.

"Ryan?! Oh my God! We thought you're dead!"

After hearing Ryan's reply, a cry of surprise was heard from the corner, and some people ran out of the dark passage.

Walking in front was a tall, lively-looking woman with a waterfall-like long hair draped over her waist in a very elegant manner. Every move she made was radiant, like a true fairy.

"Well, sorry to disappoint you..., I'm still alive." Ryan replied. If it were in the past, he would have approached her and tried to give her a hug. But now, his face was expressionless. He just glanced at the woman silently and then took the initiative to look away.

This radiant and extremely beautiful girl was Yasmin, and she is Ryan's former colleague. He once had a crush on her, but that was all in the past. Now, Yasmin was in a relationship with Wallace, his enemy.

Although he was not sure whether their relationship was a romantic one, they were too close to be in a casual relationship.

And since he came back here to kill Wallace with his own hands, how could he be welcoming to his girlfriend?

"Three production lines for 12.7mm heavy machine guns, four production lines for 12.7mm armor-piercing rounds, and the production scale and quantity of the other ordnance factory will remain unchanged." Ryan thought for a moment. In the future, unless they find an oil field or a stable source of fuel, they basically won't think about adding fuel vehicles for themselves; that would just be asking for trouble.[QZ-3 Heavy Machine Gun: Caliber: 12.7 mm, Overall Length: 1700 mm, Gun Weight: 18 kg, Mount Weight: 24 kg, Total Weight: 42 kg, Initial Fire Rate: 1025 m/s (Armor-Piercing Rounds: 1256 m/s), Conceptual Rate of Fire: 600-850 rounds/min, Effective Range: 1500 m, Feed System: Non-Disintegrating Belt (composed of 15 rounds per section), Capable of penetrating light armor units, capable of penetrating 15 mm 30-degree steel plates at a distance of 1000 meters, Can fire: Type 3 12.7 mm Armor-Piercing Rounds, Type 3 12.7 mm Armor-Piercing Incendiary Rounds, Type 3 12.7 mm Armor-Piercing

"We need more troops to meet the needs of our defense line. One platoon is not enough to defend one hilltop post and deal with the enemy's counterattack. We think we need at least a company." Ryan was pulled into a meeting early in the morning. He said he was very tired. He had been training his marksmanship outside all night and was exhausted. He hadn't even slept for three hours before being pulled out of bed.“Yes, we need to establish at least two more buffer zones outside the fortress. Otherwise, once we engage in combat, the enemy will rush to our core fortress position. Close combat is too risky for us. There are too many mutated beasts. This time, the risk of close combat on position number four was too high. We almost lost it.” The platoon leader of position number four felt that the last battle was too dangerous.“Indeed, we’ve been focusing too much on the town in the mountains. Right now, we need to strengthen the independent combat capabilities of each hilltop position to

  • 411. Introduction

The first squad members ran quickly through the mountains and forests. Every time they advanced a certain distance, they would open the electronic map, mark a spot on it, and plant a small signal transmitter on the ground. At the command post, whenever they saw a flashing signal dot appear on the electronic map, they would know that the Blue Mountain Special Forces had arrived at their location. One of the team members drew his short knife and slashed it hard at a nearby dead tree. A foul-smelling liquid spurted from the blade, and a worm, now broken in two, fell from the tree. The team member watched as the worm rolled on the ground, its body covered in blisters and spewing foul odors, and then stomped on it."You're disgusting!" A machine gunner watching his teammate's actions said he found it disgusting. Stomping on the insect liquid sent it flying in all directions. They disliked the foul-smelling liquid, which got on them and took days to wash off. They also didn't know what s

"Alright, enough chit-chat. Everyone, you'd better confirm the final mission objective. We need to reach Mountain Range 67. During this mission, we may need to walk the entire way. The helicopter will evacuate after dropping us off, so please make sure you take good care of your personal belongings." Zhou Jun interrupted the team members who were chatting inside the helicopter. The team members didn't chat. They quickly checked the supplies, sorting out everything that was needed and unnecessary. The only thing they couldn't forget was the radiation isolation tent. This type of tent was designed for various radiation environments in the field, to facilitate the soldiers' necessary activities in the field. For example, there are three basic human needs: eating and excretion. Excretion is a physiological need that no one can stop. Eating is also a physiological need. The military has put in a lot of effort to solve this problem. Fortunately, after the disaster, Korea's research units

The assault beasts and thorny lizards were furious at the human positions that were still shelling them. They had run several kilometers away, but the enemy's shelling showed no sign of stopping. The shells were still landing in the middle of their formation, forcing them to disperse their forces. Otherwise, they would know what it meant to suffer a loss. The twin anti-aircraft guns spewed out jets of high-temperature water vapor. The continuous shelling had caused the gun barrels to heat up and generate high temperatures. The light water inside the high thermal conductivity layer had all turned into boiling water, and the shelling stopped. The continuous high-speed firing had a significant impact on the lifespan of the guns themselves. Unless in an emergency, they would not shell continuously for such a long time."Stop looking, they've already run out of firing range." A peacekeeping infantryman struggled to his feet from the trench. Looking at the several assault beasts lying arou

"What a pity, we are completely unable to participate in this operation!" The huge mountain town provided Edric and his team with a good spatial foundation for establishing their base, but it also increased the space and distance for them to support each other. The soldiers on the other side of the mountain were unable to provide any support to the friendly forces in front, not even artillery support."Let's prepare ourselves. Otherwise, one day we'll be the ones getting attacked from behind, and then it'll be our turn to be embarrassed, understand?" Their platoon leader turned around and looked at the soldiers who were watching the show, and shouted at them to hurry up and finish what they were supposed to do, and not forget their own tasks. To reduce costs, the engineers have collected a lot of building materials from below the town using mining trucks. Even though the quality of the materials is not very good, at least the bricks and stones are still usable. The engineers suggest
