113: Private Discussion

Corey hadn't returned back to Laverna's book. She was laying out some hard truths that he needed to wrap his head around. Practically, from what he had gathered, the odds were stacked up against him. As always.

Corey slid down the tree once nightfall came, the heat hadn't reduced one bit and if Corey wasn't an obsessive about completing challenges, he would have walked back to the castle and laid a curse on a every dragon. The cat had left at some point, possible bored by Corey's lack of interest in him.

On the ground, Corey searched for a place he could camp. He wasn't just done with Laverna. Now he knew that he had to find her. If Iriel was really shoved this deep into his life then doesn't that mean he's led himself straight into the arms of his enemies?

The thought annoyed the hell out of him. Corey grumbled, and nursed his torso with his fingers.
