The new world

David stood a holographic interface, displaying his character customization options. With a deep breath, David began sculpting his avatar, carefully selecting features that would contrast his own physical weaknesses. He chose a tall, muscular physique, strong and confident, a stark departure from his own meek appearance.

The game system buzzed to life, presenting David with a myriad of options. He was presented with various classes and skill trees, each promising unique abilities and paths of progression. From mighty warriors to cunning spellcasters, the choices seemed endless.

After contemplating for a moment, David made his decision. He selected the class of a "Strategist," drawn to the idea of using his intellect to overcome physical limitations. This class specialized in analyzing and exploiting weaknesses, turning them into strengths. It resonated with David's desire to rise above his own shortcomings and transform into a force to be reckoned with.

With a final confirmation, David's transformation was complete. His avatar materialized before him, a formidable presence radiating power and determination. Lost in his thoughts, David bumped into someone, stumbling slightly. He looked up to see a young woman with fiery red hair and a warm smile. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity and kindness.

"Apologies," David mumbled, feeling a tinge of embarrassment.

The woman's smile widened, and she extended a hand to help him regain his balance. "No worries! It happens to the best of us. Are you new here? I don't recall seeing you around."

David nodded, grateful for her friendly demeanor. "Yes, I just started. My name is David."

"I'm Lisa," she replied, her voice filled with genuine warmth. "It's a pleasure to meet you, David. If you need any help navigating this world, don't hesitate to ask. I've been around for quite some time."

David couldn't help but be drawn to Lisa's confident yet approachable nature. It was a stark contrast to his own reticence, and he felt a glimmer of hope that perhaps he could learn from her.

"Thank you, Lisa. I appreciate that," David said, a newfound determination shining in his eyes. "I'm on a journey to become stronger, to rise above my weaknesses. One of my friend was supposed to be here, but i don’t see him anywhere. Can you help me out a bit?"

Lisa's eyes lit up with excitement. "Absolutely! I admire your ambition, David. Strength comes in many forms, and it's not just about physical power. It's about the choices we make, the bonds we forge, and the impact we have on others. Together, we can overcome any obstacle. Duh, now i sound like a wise philosopher. What i meant to say is that, yes i can help hou out."

Lisa's kind-hearted nature served as an inspiration to David, pushing him to step out of his comfort zone and embrace the challenges that lay ahead. David is also forcing himself to not shy away from things and change himself for the better. 

As they explored the expansive virtual world, Lisa introduced David to a community of like-minded individuals who sought to uplift and support each other. They joined forces, forming a guild dedicated to personal growth, camaraderie, and the pursuit of power through knowledge and understanding.

"Power is not solely about defeating enemies or acquiring skills, but also about lifting others up, offering a helping hand, and making a positive difference in the lives of those around him. This is what my big brother used to say. He was a top player in this game. He was an idol, i try my best to follow his footsteps. He is the sole reason why i even try so hard to become a top player in system ascend." Lisa shares her story while walking with David.

"Your brother must be a really nice guy, where is he now?" David asks.

"He died last year." Lisa gets sad.

She changes the subject and starts explaining the game rules to David. The two starts exploring the city together and David is mesmerised by everything around him.

However, there was a dark shadow looming over this paradise. Maxim, a cunning and ruthless hunter, derived perverse pleasure from hunting down new players, relishing in their fear and despair.

David, eager to prove himself, had unknowingly become Maxim's next target. 

As they ventured deeper into the game's sprawling world, David and Lisa encountered countless trials and tribulations. David's lack of experience often led to precarious situations, but Lisa's guidance and expertise helped them overcome every obstacle they faced.

"Look at them go, that boy seems to completely new and the girl has a bit experience.  It would be fun taking them down." Maxim is observing the duo from far.

Maxim, constantly pursued them. He reveled in the chase, taunting them at every turn, hoping to break their spirit. But David and Lisa refused to be defeated. Their bond grew stronger with each passing challenge, and they became unbeatable as a team.

"Congratulations, you have leveled upto 5 within two hours. I think you are ready to go, these were just some basic challenges every new players take.” Lisa congratulates David.

The two were satisfied with their accomplishments but on the other hand, maxim was furious. He didn’t let the two to find out about his secrets. But he was still beaten, he couldn’t beat them in the challenge.

“It’s okay, it was just a stupid throwing game. I will defeat them next time.” Maxim starts planning his next move.
