Flynn saw Magnus’s expression darken and assumed that Magnus finally realised his mistake.

Flynn smirked smugly, already imagining the online hate Magnus would receive once his apology video went viral.

“Go ahead. Show me what you got, genius,” Flynn said mockingly.

Magnus didn’t take the bait. He turned his focus on his mother.

In an instant, his focus reached its peak. If Flynn had been standing right in front of him at the moment, he would’ve seen those bright blue flames burning in Magnus’s eyes.

“Magnus, what are you doing to Mom?! Have you lost your mind?!” Jasmine cried, rushing toward him in panic.

Magnus raised his left hand slightly. A wordless gesture to hold her back.

She stopped, arms crossed, shaking her head in disbelief. In her eyes, this was ridiculous.

Jonas, meanwhile, had been watching silently, seething. He didn’t buy for a second that this long-haired lunatic was really his brother. His brother died like a fucking joke three years ago. There was no way he would just came back from hell like this!

“Well?” Flynn smirked. “Weren’t you going to show me you’re better than me? Or are you about to admit that your little talk just a while ago was just pathetic nonsense?”

He chuckled to himself.

But Magnus wasn’t listening anymore. He had already decided exactly what he needed to do.

‘I’m gonna transfer her consciousness into the void room. Guard it while I’m healing her body. You got me?’

[Yes, My Lord. Leave it to me.]

Magnus gently placed his palm on his mother’s forehead.

Slowly, he pulled her consciousness from her body and sent it into the void room—an abstract space within him where time and sound didn’t exist. Only infinite silence. A place of complete isolation and safety.

Her consciousness would be protected there, untouched by what Magnus was about to do to her physical body.

[I have her, My Lord.]

Magnus gave a faint nod.

Now it was time to purge the toxins—flush the corrupt drugs from her organs and reverse the damage Flynn had caused with his “off-the-record” prescriptions.

Beep! Beep!

The heart monitor suddenly blared.

Jasmine and Jonas both turned toward the machine, their faces turning pale.

“Magnus, what did you just do?!” Jasmine shouted.

Magnus didn’t answer.

Jonas clenched his fists, his eyes blazing. “Hey, you! Get away from my mother!”

Both siblings moved toward him, but once again Magnus raised his hand. A firm warning.

“Wait a little longer, and you’ll see her wake up,” he said, then pressed his palm to their mother’s abdomen.

“What?!”

Jonas glared at Jasmine, clearly urging her to do something.

She started to move, but suddenly her legs felt heavy. Like something was rooting her to the floor.

Magnus had used a low-grade binding spell. He hated doing it, but he needed full concentration. Any interruption could ruin the process.

Flynn stood back and watched, smirking. Arms folded across his chest, clearly unbothered even if the patient flatlined.

“Doctor, shouldn’t we do something?” the nurse whispered, panicked. “This man could be harming the patient.”

Flynn rolled his eyes. “Fine. Go get security. Tell them to come immediately.”

“Yes, doctor!”

The nurse rushed out of the room, her footsteps echoing down the corridor.

Beep! Beep!

The machine’s warning tones continued. Jasmine was close to tears.

“Magnus, please! Stop! You’re going to kill her!”

But Magnus didn’t flinch. Didn’t even blink.

Flynn’s smirk widened.

“Unbelievable. You’re not just arrogant—you’re insane. Your brain must be fried if you seriously think you can save your mom with some voodoo trick. Fine, do what you want. But when she dies, don’t come blaming me.”

Still, Magnus didn’t move.

But Jasmine turned toward Flynn, eyes wide with disbelief. Was it really okay for a doctor to talk like that—especially at that dangerous moment?

“Stop it! That’s enough!”

Jonas couldn’t take it anymore. He stormed toward Magnus, eyes locked on his back.

Jasmine’s heart jumped. She was afraid that Jonas would make thing worse.

Flynn’s grin stretched even wider. He was loving every second of this circus.

“I said stop it, you fucking bastard!” Jonas shouted, reaching for Magnus’s arm.

Magnus spun around and grabbed Jonas’s wrist with his left hand.

“I told you to wait, didn’t I?” he said coldly.

Jonas stared back, fury in his eyes.

Clap! Clap! Clap!

Flynn applauded, slow and sarcastic.

“Wow. Such drama. Feels like a soap opera in here!” he sneered. “So? You done making a fool of yourself, genius?”

Once again, Magnus ignored him. His eyes remained on Jonas.

“I’m trying to save Mom. Trust me.”

“How the hell am I supposed to trust a fucking stranger like you?!”

If it had been anyone else saying that, Magnus would’ve slapped him into the wall.

He took a deep breath, held it, let the rage pass.

“Just wait. I’m almost done,” he said, releasing Jonas’s hand but keeping the eye contact.

“This is better than cable TV,” Flynn laughed. “Keep it coming.”

This time, Magnus turned and glared at him.

The look alone erased the smug grin from Flynn’s face.

“I know you’ve been working with the Barbosa Family to keep my mother in a coma,” Magnus said flatly. “I know you started feeding her dangerous meds at their request. That’s why she’s gotten worse. But hear me now—the moment she wakes up, soon enough your career will end. And I’ll make sure your reputation is dragged through the filth.”

Flynn’s eyes widened. He staggered back half a step. How the hell did Magnus know about that?!

“Wait—what? Magnus, what are you talking about? Dr. Flynn’s working with the Barbosa Family?” Jasmine asked.

“He’s making it up!” Flynn snapped, trying to save his name. “Don’t listen to this lunatic, delusional piece of shit!”

Magnus didn’t respond. He looked down—his mother’s skin was no longer pale and dry. Her face had color again. Her body… was recovering.

[My Lord, it’s almost the time.]

Magnus gave a slight nod. He moved his palm back to her forehead. His eyes burned bright blue.

Time to bring her back!

Just then, footsteps approached. The door burst open. Two security guards barged in, the nurse trailing behind.

“Doctor, we were told—”

“No need for details,” Flynn snapped, pointing at Magnus. “Restrain this guy and drag him out!”

The guards nodded. One pulled out a baton.

“Sir, step away from the patient and raise your hands. If you resist, we will use force.”

Magnus didn’t even look at them. He focused, channeling energy as he pulled his mother’s consciousness back into her body.

Jasmine trembled, watching the guards and Magnus, torn between panic and confusion.

Jonas looked just as furious as before—but frozen now, unsure of what to do.

“Sir, I’m asking you again—don’t make us use force,” said the guard.

“For fuck’s sake, just grab him!” Flynn barked.

The guards advanced, weapons drawn. But just as they were about to close in—

Beep… beep… beep…

The monitor’s warning tone stopped.

And a second later, Magnus’s mother’s eyelids slowly opened.

Jasmine gasped, hands flying to her mouth. Tears welled in her eyes.

“Welcome back, Mom,” Magnus said, smiling faintly.

To save time, Magnus hailed a cab.He didn’t realize that while he was standing on the sidewalk waiting, a middle-aged man stepped out of Apple & Poisson and quietly watched him.The moment Magnus climbed into the taxi, the man hurried to the bar’s parking lot, got into his car—a dark green military SUV—and tailed the cab.Inside the cab, Magnus rested a small black case across his lap. It made him uneasy—he wasn’t used to carrying something like that, especially knowing it held twenty million dollars in cash.He noticed the cab driver sneaking glances at the case through the rearview mirror. Magnus couldn’t tell if the man had bad intentions or not, but if he did, Magnus wouldn’t hesitate to break him. After about ten minutes on the road, the cab driver suddenly said, “Sir, I think we’re being followed.”Magnus fought the urge to glance back. “You sure?”The cab driver nodded. “What would you like me to do, sir? Should I speed up? Or maybe take a side road so we can shake them?”Magn

  • Give Me My Money!

The spectators immediately turned their eyes to Jeff. Clara, still covering her nose and mouth with Magnus’s T-shirt, glared sharply at the fat man and stormed toward him.“Jeff, is what Magnus said true? Did you deliberately poison the fighters in the arena?” Clara snapped.Jeff looked at Clara. “No. Why the hell would I do that? What he just said was fucking nonsense!” he denied.“Then explain what just happened! Where did that thick white smoke come from? Weren’t you the one who sprayed it?” Clara pressed. She had a strong reason to be this furious with Jeff. The gas sprayed into the arena seemed dangerous, and if it had harmed Magnus—especially killed him—Clara would be in serious trouble.Krystal Lim, whom she respected, had entrusted Magnus to her personally. It was Clara’s duty to make sure he was safe—at the very least, he could not be allowed to fall victim to such a dirty trick.“That was… a technical error. Yeah, what happened just now was a technical error,” Jeff said, sou

  • I’ll End This In A Minute

Twelve minutes later, the special fight Jeff had announced to the spectators was ready to begin.Magnus stepped into the arena first, met with boos and jeers from the spectators. They were still furious—after all, the Blue Hulk, the fighter whom they bet their money on, had been crushed so easily by Magnus.Just like in his first fight, Magnus didn’t care in the slightest. He focused only on the match ahead. Four opponents at once. His goal: finish this quickly and walk away with tens of millions of dollars. The spectators roared as Jeff called in Magnus’s opponents one by one—Luke the Blade, Kuma the Bear, the Terrifying Golan, the Almighty Xavier. Interestingly, each man carried a weapon.Magnus glanced toward Clara, silently demanding an explanation. She only shrugged and shook her head.Magnus returned his gaze to the four fighters. His suspicion was clear—Jeff had allowed them to carry weapons to make this “special fight” more entertaining. Or perhaps, Jeff simply wanted to ensur

  • Where Did You Learn To Fight Like That?

The spectators erupted, cheering for the Blue Hulk, thinking he’d finished Magnus with a single blow. But then they spotted Magnus—standing tall several meters behind the hulking fighter—and the noise died at once.Magnus looked perfectly fine. He regarded the Blue Hulk with lazy eyes, as if the fight was too dull to bother with.Realizing Magnus was behind him, the Blue Hulk slowly turned.“Fast move,” he muttered. “Not bad for a newbie.”Magnus gave no response. He’d fought thousands of battles, and by now, he could gauge an opponent’s strength from the very first strike. And he was certain: the Blue Hulk was weak. Nothing but raw muscle and brute force—totally useless against him.“I came here to win, but if this fight doesn’t even entertain me, I’ll be disappointed,” Magnus said loud enough for the whole arena to hear. “Show me your real power when you attack me again.”The spectators broke into a low buzz. Some mocked Magnus for his arrogance, others cursed him and prayed for the

  • Is This Your First Fight?

It wasn’t strange at all to see a high-ranking soldier at an illegal fighting pit. But the fact that this one showed up in full uniform—complete with his rank insignia—made Magnus frown. Was this man deliberately trying to be recognized? Magnus wondered.Magnus didn’t know Kauffman, but Clara did. The moment she saw the major glaring at Magnus with a wolfish face, she quickly stepped back, trying to defuse the tension.“Please kindly forgive my friend, Major,” Clara said carefully. “I think this is just a misunderstanding. He didn’t mean to offend you, let alone challenge you.”Kauffman’s eyes slid to Clara. He scanned her from head to toe like a merchant sizing up merchandise before making a purchase.Of course, since Clara had once been a prostitute in a brothel, she had the face and figure for it, and Kauffman swallowed hard the instant he got a good look at her.He finally let go of Magnus’s shoulder. “Next time, watch the fuck where you’re going,” he snapped, giving Magnus one la

  • I Want Him Fired

Brad couldn’t believe what he had just heard.“Wait, wait. You’re telling me that this bum was really sent here by Madam? Are you serious?”Clara’s eyes scanned Magnus up and down. To be honest, even she wasn’t fully convinced—Magnus looked way too ordinary for someone personally dispatched by Krystal Lim.But it was Krystal herself who had called half an hour ago, telling her that a long-haired man named Magnus would be coming to The Oathroom to meet her, and that Clara had to treat him as a special guest.Besides, the handwriting on that note really was Krystal Lim’s.“Just step aside, Brad. Think of him as coming in with me, which means he doesn’t need to show a membership card. He was sent here directly by Madam,” Clara said.Brad glared at Magnus for a moment as if he was about to tear him apart. “This is insane!” he roared. “I’m the operational manager of this elite bar, and I’m not letting some beggar like him walk in. Not even if you’re scheming with him!”Brad shot Clara a s
