The crimson pulse within the aqueduct pipes hit Japh like a physical blow.

It was not the dark, suffocating energy of the parasite. It was warm, soft, and gentle—a faint, ancient resonance that hummed in perfect harmony with the divine core in his chest.

Mother, Japh thought, his throat tightening as his grip on the celestial spear faltered.

"Do you hear her, Japh?" his father’s raspy voice echoed through the dark, flooded stone chambers, rich with cruel amusement. "She’s been the battery of this realm for fifteen years. Every time you channel lightning, every time your core surges, you draw from the very wellspring I forged out of her spirit. Destroy the nodes, and you scatter her soul into the void forever!"

Do not waver, boy! Zeus’s voice thundered, vibrating through the Aeon-Strider armor. The shadow speaks half-truths to break your resolve! Your mother's spirit is not a power source—it is a prisoner bound in chains of dark iron!

"Shut up!" Japh yelled at the cavern walls, his voice echoing down the dark tunnels.

He activated his suit’s 5x kinetic acceleration, blurring through the flooded pipeline toward the second conduit vault.

Flash.

He materialized on the wet stone ledge of the second chamber. Before him stood the second crystal node. Unlike the dark purple glare of the first, this pillar glowed with a pure, radiant crimson. Inside the crystal, suspended in liquid light, was the faint, translucent outline of a woman holding her hands over her chest.

Japh froze. The heat radiating from the glass felt like a warm embrace from a memory he had lost long ago.

"Japh..." a soft, melodious whisper echoed directly inside his mind. It wasn't the Warlord, nor was it Zeus. It was a voice he hadn't heard since he was five years old.

"Mother?" Japh stepped closer, his divine eyes glowing softly through his silver visor. "I... I can free you. I can cut the conduits—"

"No, my sweet boy," Aris Lohrenetia's voice murmured, filled with an unbearable, maternal tenderness. "The monster who was once your father has bound my spirit to the corrupt core of the Sunken Palace. As long as I remain tied to these pillars, his dark parasite will regenerate from my life-force. He cannot be slain while I exist."

Tears cut hot tracks down Japh's face beneath his helmet. "There must be another way. I can use Zeus's thunder to sever the parasite without hurting you!"

"Thunder burns away the dark, Japh... but it cannot untangle what has been fused by blood," she whispered, her translucent image pressing a hand against the inside of the crystal node. "My time ended the day he brought me to these ruins. What remains here is only a cage. Break it."

"I can't!" Japh choked out, falling to one knee, the double-headed spear resting heavy against the wet stone floor. "I came to save everyone... I can't kill you!"

"You aren't killing me, my hero," Aris said softly. "You are granting me peace. Strike the node, Japh. Use the divine steel to absorb what is left of my light, so I may walk with you in the storm."

BOOM!

A violent shockwave rocked the subterranean aqueducts. The black-iron tendrils of the mutated Warlord burst through the cavern ceiling, tearing through stone and water. The monstrosity’s face, half-covered in pulsating dark scales, sneered down from the gaping breach above.

"Hesitating, boy?" the Warlord roared, his voice shaking the foundation of the vault. "You are weak, just like she was! If you will not strike, then I shall consume her remaining essence and take your core by force!"

A massive, spike-covered tendril slammed down toward the crimson crystal, aiming to rupture the glass and siphon the soul directly into the parasite.

"NO!" Japh screamed.

He didn't hesitate any longer. Bypassing his own grief, Japh channeled every ounce of Zeus's divine voltage through his body, down his arms, and straight into the double-headed celestial spear.

The white-gold blade blazed with a blinding, sun-like brilliance.

Japh leapt into the air, spinning his spear in a rising arc. Instead of smashing the node in anger, he drove the blade's tip cleanly into the center of the crimson crystal with absolute precision.

CRACK!

The second conduit shattered.

Instead of a dark explosion, a wave of soft, warm golden light erupted from the crystal, instantly burning away the approaching black tendrils. The lingering essence of Aris Lohrenetia did not scatter into the void—it flowed directly up the celestial spear, wrapping around Japh's arms and fusing into the Aeon-Strider Plate.

The silver armor ignited, shifting from its cool indigo channels to a brilliant, iridescent white-gold. The kinetic dampeners roared as his movement speed multiplier surged past its limits, unlocking the armor's true form: the Aegis of the Sun-Goddess.

"What... what did you do?!" the Warlord shrieked, reeling back as the golden light seared his dark scales.

On the surface above, two-thirds of the Null-Aegis Canopy violently detonated, collapsing into harmless trails of light. Thousands of corrupted Terra-Sentinels shuddered across the city, their crimson eyes flickering rapidly as the parasite's broadcast signal crumbled.

Japh landed gracefully on the water's surface, standing on the liquid like solid stone. The celestial spear in his hands now crackled with a dual frequency—Zeus's roaring divine thunder fused with his mother's pure, protective light.

He looked up at his mutated father, his eyes burning with absolute, unwavering resolve.

"She didn't give you power," Japh said, his voice echoing across the ruins like a trumpet of judgment. "She gave it to me."

Without waiting for the Warlord to strike, Japh shot upward through the collapsed ceiling like a white-gold meteor, bursting onto the surface of the Sunken Palace plaza to destroy the final two nodes and face his father in the ultimate showdown.
