For centuries, civilizations have risen only to be harvested by the "True Founder's" automated extinction protocols disguised as gods. When the brutal civil war within their ancient valley shatters their world, siblings Japh and Lira are thrust into a desperate fight for survival. To defeat the corrupted High Warlord, Japh executes a dangerous Complete Divine Fusion with the legendary core—saving his people, but losing his human memories to a cold, unfeeling godhood in the process. Now, anchored only by Lira’s soul-weaving light-tether and her newly forged solar arc-weapon, the siblings must cross the treacherous, monster-infested Storm-Severed Ocean aboard The Aegis Vanguard. Their destination: the celestial capital of the enemy empire. There, they must uncover the terrifying truth behind the divine core, reclaim Japh's lost humanity, and unite their bloodline to shatter the planetary extinction grid before the world burns in eternal dark

Chapter 1

Lightning from the Ashes

"Drink it, or watch your sister bleed."

The bandit’s blade pressed against Lira’s throat, drawing a thin crimson line.

Japh knelt on the muddy dirt of Kornite village, his fingers digging into the cold earth. Before him lay a glass vial filled with a black, murky liquid—the Vow of Silence. One gulp, and his voice, his freedom, and his ability to speak against the warlord’s syndicate would be burned away forever.

Around them, the shattered stone pillars of the ancient ruins loomed like broken teeth. This village sat on the bones of a fallen realm—a place destroyed eons ago by its own corruption. Now, the local warlords ruled the ash.

"You're running out of time, kid," the bandit sneered, pressing the steel harder. Lira whimpered, her tiny hands clutching at the bandit’s leather sleeves.

Japh reached for the vial. His hands shook, not from fear, but from a rage so intense it threatened to split his ribs. He was weak. Just a village boy who spent his days scavenging scrap metal from the dead city's outer wall. He couldn't fight three armored men.

I'm sorry, Lira, he thought, lifting the vial to his lips. I couldn't protect us.

"Pathetic."

The voice didn't come from the bandit. It didn't come from the village. It boomed directly inside Japh’s skull, like a thunderclap striking the center of his brain.

Japh froze. Time seemed to slow. The rain falling around them hung in mid-air like glittering glass beads.

"To think the bloodline of the First Founders has reduced itself to drinking poison for swine," the voice growled. It was vast, ancient, and heavy with divine authority. "Look up, boy."

Japh lifted his eyes. The overcast, dreary sky above Kornite village had split wide open. High above the gray clouds, a colossal figure shrouded in blinding white light and crackling blue lightning looked down upon the ruined city.

The figure held a bolt of raw, unadulterated thunder in its right hand.

"I am Zeus," the voice thundered in his mind. "This city fell to darkness because its leaders lacked the strength to purge the vile. I require an anchor in the mortal realm to restore the balance. Do you seek the power to crush those who chain you?"

Yes, Japh screamed in his thoughts. Give me the power to save her!

"Take it. And rebuild what was destroyed."

A jagged arc of brilliant golden lightning shot down from the heavens, bypassing the sky entirely and striking Japh square in the chest.

The world exploded in white light.

The frozen rain crashed down all at once. The bandit holding Lira gasped as a wave of heat blasted across the muddy courtyard.

Japh stood up.

The glass vial in his hand shattered, its dark liquid instantly vaporized by the aura radiating from his skin. Electric blue currents danced across his arms, weaving beneath his skin like molten silver veins. His dark eyes glowed with the absolute radiance of a storm god.

"What... what is this?" the lead bandit stammered, taking a step back. "Kill him! Cut him down!"

The two secondary bandits drew their iron swords and rushed forward.

Japh didn't move. He didn't need to. As the first bandit swung his blade, Japh raised his right hand. The air compressed with a deafening crack. A shockwave of thunder erupted from his palm, launching both attackers backward through the air. They crashed into the stone remnants of a nearby archway, dropping unconscious into the mud.

The lead bandit dropped his sword, horror washing over his face. He grabbed Lira, pulling her in front of him as a human shield. "Stay back! I'll break her neck!"

Japh took a single step forward. The ground beneath his leather boot cracked, scorched black by lightning.

"You have three seconds to let her go," Japh said. His voice was no longer that of a helpless boy. It echoed with a terrifying dual resonance—his own voice layered beneath the thunderous tone of a god.

"You're a monster!" the bandit screamed, his grip tightening around Lira's neck. "I'll do it! I swear I'll—"

Japh blurred.

To the naked eye, he simply vanished. In the span of a single heartbeat, he reappeared directly in front of the bandit. His hand, bathed in blinding blue electricity, clamped around the bandit's wrist like a vise.

A sickening crunch rang out as Japh crushed the man's armor and bone in one swift motion. The bandit shrieked in agony, releasing Lira. Japh caught his sister with his left arm, pulling her safely behind him, while his right hand slammed into the bandit’s chest.

A discharge of light sent the bandit skittering fifty feet across the mud, coming to a halt at the edge of the village square, motionless.

Silence fell over Kornite village. The rain washed away the smell of ozone, but the air remained charged with terrifying heat.

Lira trembled, staring up at her brother in absolute awe. "Japh... what happened to you?"

Japh looked down at his hands. The lightning slowly receded beneath his skin, leaving behind intricate, glowing runic marks on his forearms. He could feel it—a massive, dormant core of divine energy pulsing right beside his heart. The ancient ruins around them seemed to hum in response to his presence, as if recognizing its long-lost master.

He had saved his sister, but the energy surge had been massive. There was no way the regional lords hadn't felt it.

Suddenly, a deep, mechanical hum echoed from the dark mountain pass overlooking the village.

Japh turned his head toward the sound. High above the cliffs, three massive, black-armored war vessels bearing the crest of the Iron Syndicate emerged from the fog. These weren't petty bandits—this was the vanguard of the warlord who had ordered the destruction of the city eons ago.

A sharp, cruel voice boomed from the lead warship, amplified by magic:

"By order of the Sovereign, the divine anomaly in Kornite village has been marked for immediate extermination. Deploy the Null-Beasts."

From the bellies of the warships, dozens of monstrous, iron-clad beasts plummeted toward the village like falling meteors.
