Ding! You have received a new mission.]

[KILL 5 HUMANS, INCLUDING AMIRA AND STORM.]

[TIME LIMIT: 74 HOURS.]

[REWARD: 15 CREATION POINTS, 10,000 DOLLARS.]

Lucifer read through the information, and his gaze turned sharp.

‘Kill?’ There was a brief hesitation in his pure, naive eyes. He was silent for a brief moment before clenching his fist.

‘As long as it can make me stronger. It doesn't matter how I obtain such strength.’ Resolving with himself, Lucifer raised his head to glance up at the skies.

Just then, he heard a faint rustle coming from nearby. Immediately, his gaze turned fierce.

In a blink, he heard faint voices emerging from the distant trees nearby.

The sky wasn't darkened, and the sun hung limply over the horizon, so after being obscured by the trees, Lucifer was able to see who was hiding behind them.

There were two wolves clad in black fur, which radiated an intense predatory aura. They growled repeatedly as though they were starved beasts as they stared at him.

Immediately, a wave of fear surged through Lucifer. However, subconsciously, his heart pounded loudly as though releasing a strange aura.

An ancient energy stirred within him, and the fear he previously felt disappeared in the blink of an eye.

[Primordial Bloodline Activated.]

At the flash of this message from the system, Lucifer could feel all sorts of changes happening to him.

In the system, all his stats had increased by roughly 5 full points. His aura changed slightly, resembling that of the beasts, and his eyes turned into ferocious golden slits.

For a brief instant, the wolves hesitated on whether to attack Lucifer.

Was he the beast, or were they? A glimpse of human-like doubt flickered in their eyes.

Lucifer, however, didn't have such thoughts.

The moment his bloodline activated, his mana points had begun drastically draining from the previous 100. In the blink of an eye, they had decreased drastically all the way to ninety.

‘While my bloodline is activated, I have to swiftly eliminate these beasts before it is too late!’

At this realization, Lucifer rushed up to the beast ahead.

Previously, even being confronted by little rabbits, he would be fearful, but now, confronted by two F-rank wolves, he didn't feel a single trace of fear.

His hand, filled with strength, swiftly moved forward.

The wolf seemed to sense the danger and moved to the side, dodging Lucifer’s sharp hand, which tried to claw through its heart.

Awooooooo

It let out a howl, then bared its fangs and charged at Lucifer.

Lucifer crouched down, his posture seeming like that of a beast, as he also let out a similar roar of his own and rushed towards the wolf.

Bang!

In an instant, both figures collided against each other. Lucifer was sent flying a few feet back; however, the wolf wasn't faring any better.

Lucifer’s hands had pierced cleanly through its stomach. As it struggled to stand up, it showed a pained expression and staggered.

Awooooo

The second wolf let out a cry, realizing the danger they were in, and swiftly rushed towards Lucifer.

Lucifer struggled to stand up, his bones aching. Although his body was being enhanced by the dragon bloodline, he still found it hard to breathe.

[Mana Points: 50]

‘This… is troublesome,’ he analyzed internally, recalling a few minor flaws he had made during the previous attack.

With his mana running low, Lucifer knew he couldn't delay. Watching the wolf lunge at him, he crouched down once more, raising his hand and pushing himself forward.

Swish!

With the momentum from his leg, he was propelled forward, his claw immediately piercing through the wolf.

In an instant, the wolf lost its breath, dead.

Awooo…

The second wolf let out a howl as though it was pleading with Lucifer. However, the youth’s heart was firm as he walked up to the wolf as it limped backward, its guts spilling out from where he had previously pierced it.

He increased his pace and smashed his clenched fist into the wolf.

It let out a whimper, then crashed heavily to the ground, its skull fractured and its eyes turned lifeless.

Subconsciously, as though sensing the battle was over, the system flashed with a line of words.

[Dragon Bloodline Deactivated.]

Lucifer collapsed to his knees, puking his guts out…

His face was pale, and his limbs trembled fiercely as he stared at the gory scene in front of him.

He continued puking for more than a few minutes before regaining his bearings.

‘I–I killed them.’ His eyes contained delight as he glanced at the corpses of the two beasts in front of him.

‘For the first time in my life, I don't feel powerless… I actually killed something!’

Lucifer laughed briefly, then his smile widened and his laughter deepened.

“That’s right!” he muttered. “I am no longer the Lucifer of old. I now have a means to increase my strength and never let myself be bullied!”

Through the corner of his eyes, he noticed a blinking light. ‘A notification?’ he guessed and gave the order.

[Gained 5 Creation Points.]

‘Creation points?’ He recalled the system saying that he could gain creation points from killing creatures.

‘Then can I use this to create an ability? And also a treasure?’ Many thoughts on what to create swirled in Lucifer’s mind.

He pushed the thought to the back of his mind for now, as he was still surrounded by danger.

Lucifer was happy at the thought of being able to create… anything. He wiped his mouth as he stood up, then turned around and began walking back in the direction of the academy.

He had to complete the mission from the system, as there was not much time.

‘Besides, the sky is darkening. Having encountered two beasts just because the afternoon is gradually elapsing, many more will come out when night truly falls.’ Lucifer could still recall some teachings from the academy.

After walking a few meters, he passed by a stream. He paused briefly, then stopped to wash his body.

With some traces of blood and the stench of the dead creatures from before clinging to his body, he felt the need to wash up.

After removing his clothes, Lucifer glanced at his reflection in the stream.

His body looked slightly leaner than average, with little to no muscle on his arms. His skin was pale due to constantly hiding in the dorm whenever he wasn't in class for fear of being bullied.

Trailing across his skin were multiple scars, some looking like he had been scarred with a weapon, others looked like elemental attacks, and there were even some that looked fresh.

He touched his face lightly, which was just average.

There was nothing remarkable about him, as he was simply… just an ordinary boy.
