CHAPTER 2

AT FIRST, only hands were groping under the car but the difficulty began to be felt, finally Ameera Husna decided to slide her body a little inside so that she could see where the keys were. Indeed, his nose at that moment already smelled a bad smell but he just ignored it, in his interpretation the smell came from the garbage disposal site that was there before reaching the cemetery. C

Carried by the wind Ameera was silent for a moment from complaining to herself because she still failed to get the key even though it was visible, the key was further away because of her hand's push.

'What cloth is this?' She muttered. Once again she tried to hold the soft fabric. Suddenly the feeling becomes unpleasant when the finger touches something. The more she groped, the more her eyes froze. The mouth that was busy talking is now silent.

'Oh God, what is this, God?' asked her restless heart. Ameera began to wonder whether she wanted to turn her face to see what it was or continue to crawl out from under the car. Ameera smelled a fishy smell then she tried to look at her sticky finger and the smell came from the thick liquid.

Her adrenaline rushes.

Haha...

The whispers are disturbing the mind. Also mixed with her heartbeat that seemed to want to break her chest.

Haha...

Again she heard the same whisper. Slowly she moved his body. But for some reason the legs feel heavy. Satisfied, she read all the Quran verses she knew, so that her legs would be 'released'. The fishy smell and the smell of the earth got stronger in the wind. It's getting dark outside.

From afar, the mosque speakers could be heard signaling that the call to prayer was about to be sounded. Maghrib time. Ameera is still in the cemetery. If the key that she managed to get didn't fall, of course she would have returned home a long time ago. From the stench, now the fragrance of Cambodian flowers pierces the nose.

Ameera is speeding up her movement as she wants to quickly get out of the area. Giving thanks after he managed to get out from under the car without wanting to see what was there. Clumsily she wakes up without wanting to shake his clothes and gets into the car.

Fortunately, she opened the door a long time ago. The engine is turned on. Without wanting to wear a seat belt, she continued to move the steering wheel to get out of there as quickly as possible. The creature with three ties all over its body, kept staring intently at the back of Ameera Husna's body from the back seat.

Her pale face looked very creepy. When Ameera Husna went through a turn leading out of the city, Ameera Husna saw a woman walking alone carrying a child. The intention in her heart was to give her a ride but she wanted to be quick so she continued to drive. Her eyes and the woman's eyes looked at each other and smiled back. Ameera Husna's car is getting further away, the woman is also invisible in the dark.

SHE felt like she was being watched, even so, Ameera ignored her because she wanted to finish her work quickly.

"It also hurt my heart, when I was forced to prepare the document before returning. It's already a little thick. You already know how thick it is. Send it early this morning, it's not even close to being called back to the room. 'I think he's just my boss, otherwise... he doesn't want me to set the time like this...' she muttered in her heart with eyes engrossed in looking at the watch wrapped around his wrist.

Every once in a while the eyes stared at Mr. Hakeem's room, bright again indicating that her boss was there again. Typing has typing. Ameera did not realize that the long hand of the clock on the wall was about to strike twelve midnight. Stay back in the office for the longest time in the history of one Ameera Husna.

Many times she yawned and writhed her body that was busy bending over, she began to feel tired. She picked up the cup that she thought was still full and tasted it. Eyes look into the cup, coffee only. Smiling alone. Ameera Husna woke up and squirmed again. She wants to go to the pantry for a moment.

The steps stopped. Put the ears back on.

Silence.

Smiling while shaking her head. A mere illusion in her thoughts now. Steps open. Sounds again. This time it was quite strong.

"As far as I know... I'm the only one staying back..." Ameera said in a very low voice. If she was the only one in the office at the time, then who was using the printer and photocopier?

Ameera looked at her watch. Take a sip. Half past twelve already. Ameera is sure that something is wrong. Her lips twitched. When it came to the last three verses in Ayatul Qursi, Ameera repeated the recitation three times.

Huh...

Ameera strengthened her reading when the whisper was right next to her ear.

Huh...

She held the cup tighter. Ameera can't get anywhere. Only able to stand upright by his friend's table. How did she want to move, her nose still smelled something. No more strange smells and sounds. Ameera's eyelids slowly opened. And she was sure there was no more trouble. She also too thirsty. Sleepy too. Ameera stood still. Slowly the figure with the head turned its bound body and faced each other.

"Allahuakbar!" Ameera squealed before she collapsed right next to the wrapped creature.

The printing machine returned to work by issuing several pieces of A4-sized paper that displayed the image of the creature. Black. The other eye has its eyeball out. The skin is rotting with maggots covering half of the face.

A FEW MINUTES LATER...

"AMEERA HUSNA!"

“Hey, Ameera! Wake up! Wake up!”

Like it or not. Mr. Hakeem had to slap his employee's cheek hard. Why can you fall asleep on the floor next to the table of late Suhana, his former employee who died a month ago due to a road accident. With full blank A4 paper on the edge.

He spoke at length now. Maybe Ameera was really tired, feeling regret in his heart for asking the girl to complete the document last night until midnight. Luckily he didn't come back and also wanted to go to the pantry, if he didn't make it to the morning, Ameera would be lying next to Suhana's table.

“Ameera, why are you? Why are you lying here?”

"Where am I near?"

"Laa... you are still in the office. Ameera, you come back now, I'll send it. Your car later in the day, I will ask the office boy to send me the keys later. Ameera, I'm giving you leave in two days..."

"But boss, my job?"

"It's fine. Your health is more important... One more thing, I think I know why. Next time you hear anything, ignore it. I know what our office is like..." Ameera tried to remember the last moment before her vision went dark. It was hard to remember at that moment, maybe it was true that she needed a break.

"Let me help. Even at dawn, I want to go in..." said Mr. Hakeem, wanting to help. Ameera felt shy at first, but when she tried to get back up, fate managed to grab a chair.

Want it or not, Ameera welcomes the hand of Mr. Hakeem, her bachelor employer. From the corner of his eye, Hakeem saw something even though dawn was approaching. Spontaneously he recited Ayatul Qursi to drive away the 'thing' that was on Suhana's table.

In the estimation, Hakeem may be the 'thing' that hurt Ameera until the friend passed out.
