CHAPTER 4:
Little Kabbus had no idea what was going on with his body. He felt thirsty all of a sudden and a part of him was drawing him close to the patient they just brought in."Something is wrong. Something is really wrong. What is wrong with me?" He was scared and confused. This wasn't his plan at all, this wasn't what he wanted. How could he get attracted to an injured person?"Am I about to eat someone up because I'm hungry? What kind of monster am I, then?" Little Kabbus cried inwardly. He forced himself up the bed and sat down on the edge. Staring at the patient was making it harder for him so to prevent that, he decided to look away but his eyes would keep wandering to the patient's side at times. It was frustrating, he hated it and he thought of leaving the room so he could sort out his thoughts but that was when someone spoke up..."Wait for me here, I'm coming." The person who came with the patient said. He seemed to be leaving the room!"Really? Don't stay long. The doctor should be here soon." The patient replied and Kabbus shook his head, panicking. "This isn't right...""Don't leave, please. Just stay behind like this and watch me leave the room first. I don't know... I really don't know what will happen if I'm left alone with her." He cried inwardly but he found it hard to say it out.One part of him wanted the person to stay with the patient but another part of him wanted the person to leave so he was confused. He was torn between what to wish for and what not to wish for and before he could decide, he saw the person open the door and leave the room, leaving him alone with the patient!Immediately, his stomach churned loudly and he groaned in pain. The hunger pang was greatly affecting him, threatening to help him lose his mind... He was confused."Are you hungry?" The patient asked gently. She was a young girl too, probably older than the human Kabbus but she was still a student as she was dressed in a uniform.Kabbus quickly looked away, trying his best not to look at her. "I'm okay. I will go out to get something to eat." He simply replied as he tried to stand up."Get something to eat without your parents? I'm sure they won't be happy if they get here and don't see you here. What about this?" She stopped as she started searching her bag and she brought out a bread. "Eat this. I have more with me. My mother prepared it for me this morning so it's still very fresh and good." She suggested, stretching the big bread to Kabbus with a gentle smile on her face.Kabbus bit his lower lip as he thought of how to turn the girl down. He couldn't trust himself if he got closer to her and he wanted to avoid trouble at all cost but when he looked at the girl's face, it was obvious she wouldn't be taking NO as an answer and that made him want to knock her head in for being so stubborn ~"Ain't you scared of me? I'm a stranger or didn't your parents tell you to be wary of strangers?" Kabbus asked, hoping that would discourage the girl from wanting to talk to him. Getting disrespected by a stranger was a big turn off, right? The girl chuckled, it was obvious she was in pain but she was still smiling through the pain. "How old are you?"The question sounded odd to Kabbus but he shrugged and crossed his arm "If you're asking for my true age, I should be 210 this year but right now, I'm 10 years old." He replied. The girl laughed again. She looked at him and shook his head "I'm Tiana, 15 years old this year, which means that I'm 5 years older than you so I'm your big sis." The girl replied before stretching forward the bread again. "Take this now before I change my mind."Kabbus was about to reply when his stomach churned again and he frowned "Maybe what I want is just the bread she is holding. I should collect it." He said to himself, comforting himself as he set out to walk toward her.He reached the girl's bed and stretched his hand to collect the bed but that was all he remembered. The next thing he did was grab the girl's hand, he pulled her up the bed and grabbed her head, without warning, Little Kabbus dug his already elongated teeth into the vein of her neck and drew out blood! His inside was burning with each blood that entered his body but the hunger in his stomach kept pushing him to drink more. Little Kabbus shook his head, he rolled his eyes, he tried to clench his fist as he tried his best to stop sucking Tiana's blood but no matter how hard he tried, it just wasn't working... It was like something had taken over him completely. What was more shocking was the fact that Tiana wasn't making a single sound, she had her eyes closed as she waited for Kabbus to suck as much as he wanted and just when she thought he was done, he started sucking again.Little Kabbus sucked Tiana's blood for a while until his hunger was satisfied and just then was he able to stop sucking.(Congratulations, You are now a halfling. A newborn vampire.)(Power: 5%)Kabbus shook his head, he staggered back as he was in disbelief. He looked at his hands and shook his head again. Opening his mouth, he wanted to say something but the door cracked right then and when he turned his head, he saw a pale young boy staring at him with horror in his eyes."Monster!" The boy screamed.

Fred couldn't believe his ears as he looked at Kabbus. His curled-up body straightened up, and he turned around, seemingly searching for who Kabbus was talking to. "Are you talking to me?" He asked with confusion on his face. Kabbus frowned, he couldn't help but wonder if something was wrong with Fred. "Martins, how much did you beat him? He doesn't seem to be alright," He whispered, looking at Martins, whose gaze was still on him. Martins' eyes twitched and he smiled, "He's just too weak. A single punch was all it took for him to lose his mind," He replied, his voice filled with mockery. Fred gritted his teeth; no matter how low the boys' voices were, he was still able to hear them, and that annoyed him to the core. "Hey, Punk. Who do you think you are?!" He yelled. "Martins could be proud, taking into consideration his strength but you? You are only in the 5th stage of the body-strengthening realm and you think you can talk in front of me? Ain't you being too cocky?" Fred mocked
CHAPTER 29: INTERFERENCE
Kabbus took the lesson seriously, his hands kept moving smoothly. His face was as calm as a lake, sweat dripping, and even his eye lashes were wet, but that still didn't stop him. "He's done it a thousand times already. What's he doing?" Lith asked, not understanding what was going on. They were all shocked when they saw the way Kabbus practiced swiftly. Although basic styles weren't hard to learn, it was not completely easy either, so seeing Kabbus learn it within a few hours was quite surprising. Especially when most of them spent a month to perfect it!He really made them feel ashamed of themselves but then again, what was he still doing?"Isn't he tired?" Athos also asked. "I don't think so," Martins had an amusing smile on his face as he replied. "He's trying to break through to the late stage. I mean, he wants to perfect it to the max," He explained and the rest gasped. Lith shook his head as he gawked, "Per... perfect it? Has he gone nuts? Why would he waste his time on suc
CHAPTER 28: TRAINING
Kabbus stood at the door, staring at nothing but he seemed very focused. If anyone saw him, they would think he was just calmly gazing at space but he was the only one that knew he was actually checking his stat. Title: Half VampireLevel: 16Power: 10%New title: **** (Slumber)What shocked Kabbus wasn't only the new title he got but also something else that lingered on his stat, giving him a mysterious feeling. "What's this?" He couldn't help but ask. He raised his hand and tapped on the word Slumber but it only brought out error, confusing him more. 'Why am I half vampire again? I'm supposed to be a full one, why does it look like I went back to the beginning? If that's the case, then what's these powers I feel in me? I feel a lot stronger than before and my stats are in thousands too. Kabbus was very confused, he had no idea what was going on with him and for the first time since he found out he was a vampire, he wished he had someone to put him through. Being a vampire was al
CHAPTER 27: EVOLUTION!
"Why did you guys decide to buy such a useless sword?" Lith was surprised. He clearly heard the shop owner explain to them that the sword was useless but Martins and Kabbus still decided to buy it. Especially Kabbus who had been staring at the sword since they left the shop as if it was a treasure he couldn't afford to part with. "I can unsheate it," Kabbus replied without moving his eyes from the sword. The boys were surprised, except Martins who had a small smile on his face. "I saw you unsheathed it earlier." He said out loud. Only then did Kabbus raise his head. He looked at Martins and gave a slight nod before he returned his attention to the sword. "Can you show me?" Lith asked excitedly. A sword that had never left its scabbard for years finally came out when it got to Kabbus's hands, Lith was beyond stunned! Kabbus was about to reply when Martins suddenly came to a stop and held his hand, stopping him too. "Let's get the ring here. It's cheaper than the Sect
CHAPTER 26: ICE SWORD
Kabbus felt refreshed immediately and he quickly stood up. He looked at the boys who had gotten to him and let out a deep breath. "Can we be fast here? There's something I need to do soon." He muttered. "What's that?' Lith asked. Kabbus looked into his eyes "Evolve," He said simply. Lith's eyes widened and he chuckled. "You could have just said it's a secret," He mumbled and rolled his eyes. Kabbus shook his head but didn't say a word. He already told the truth so it was only left for the boys to believe him. He wasn't planning to hide his vampire side from the guys but he wouldn't show them either... He left it to them to find out themselves and they could do whatever they wanted then. Kabbus never believed he was evil just because he was a vampire and even if Vampires were evil, he planned never to do evil. Except for taking his revenge and trampling the ones who bullied him under his feet, the ones he wouldn't forgive would be his enemies. He wouldn't hurt the innocents and he
CHAPTER 25: STAR 5 BEAST
Silence dawned in the forest as the boys all thought about the revelation Kabbus had just thrown at them. None of them could have thought he was younger than them and knowing that only made them want to protect him more!Soon, They heard the leaves ruffle and yet came another beast but it was a star 5 beast! Kabbus moved forward "I will deal with this." He suggested and though the group seemed hesitant, they let him go. Star 5 beast wasn't something a Rank 4 body Strengthening stage cultivator could go against alone. Even Rank 6 body Strengthening cultivator would face some problems facing it and Kabbus knew this difference between him and the beast. But he wasn't just a cultivator, he was also a vampire!Kabbus knew his Vampire level was almost the same as his cultivator level, If not higher. This meant he was about two times stronger than a normal Rank 4 body-strengthening stage Cultivator and he could even rival a Rank 5 martial Master! He moved closer to the beast who was staring
