Axel had to swallow the lingering chill from the VR pod he'd forcefully abandoned. His real-world body felt weak and sore, but his consciousness inside the game spiked dramatically.

"Axel! Don't move!" Zara's voice was urgent through his earpiece. "Your physical connection is critical! Don't try to dive again!"

"I can't stay still, Zara." Axel replied curtly. He was already standing in front of the backup laptop. "Forty-eight hours. I have to stabilize the server before the Operator completely deletes us all."

"You used up all your GP already! You don't have enough points for a major class evolution!" Zara protested strongly.

"I have more than just GP," Axel said. He opened his private inventory. Inside were several rare items he had stored for years. Limit breaker items that should be impossible to use without the appropriate level. "I have Item Shards from the last World Boss. And I have a total of 3 GP. Enough to secure the first phase of evolution."

Axel went to work. His fingers, still stiff from the forced synchronization disconnection, moved rapidly across the keyboard. He inserted all the Item Shards he had into the Class Evolution slot.

"Standard class evolution requires Level 100, Axel! You're Level 22!" Zara exclaimed.

"The Gilded System doesn't care about standard levels," Axel countered. He allocated his three remaining Gilded Points into the attribute he needed most for the upcoming fight: Endurance.

[GILDED ENDURANCE : PHASE 1 ACTIVATED.]

[ATTEMPTING CLASS EVOLUTION : GILDED MASTER BLADEMASTER LEVEL 150]

[WARNING : This process requires full data absorption. Mental endurance will be tested to the limits of consciousness.]

"Axel, don't!" Zara worried. "If you continue, you're going to feel the pain of hundreds of players who lost their levels earlier!"

"Then let me feel that pain, Zara," Axel said, his voice deeper and rougher now. "I won't let them all disappear because of Liam's ambition!"

The simulated world greeted Axel not with light, but with complete darkness and overwhelming pain. He no longer saw data streams. He saw fragments of memories from the thousands of players he was saving.

"It's better that I feel this," Axel thought. Every cell in his body seemed to scream in pain. He let all the data flow in, condensing himself from Level 22. He was no longer thinking about Agility or Strength, but absolute endurance.

"Accept everything, Axel. Accept all this pain," the Operator's familiar voice whispered in his mind.

Axel's body swelled, then shrank back down. This time, denser and stronger. When the process stopped, he opened his eyes.

Axel stood upright. He was no longer wearing the standard beginner's gear. His black robe was now made of a material that looked like cold liquid metal, with slowly moving golden patterns on its surface. His status panel now showed the class evolution.

[CLASS : GILDED BLADEMASTER LEVEL 150]

[GP AVAILABLE : 0]

"Level 150," Axel muttered. He tested moving his arm. The new strength felt natural, fully integrated. The new Endurance gave him the capacity to use Bladed Dance multiple times without causing nerve damage.

"Axel! You made it! You're Level 150!" Zara shouted through the comms. "I'm monitoring your data. Your real-world body temperature has returned to normal limits! You managed to withstand the burden!"

"I can't feel anything anymore, Zara," Axel replied honestly.

"I understand. But we don't have much time. Only twenty hours left before the Operator's deadline runs out. Liam must already be moving toward the Data Core," Zara said, her tone regaining focus.

"The Data Core? Where is it?"

"That's what we need to find. But I found this." Zara sent an encrypted file. "This is Liam's last location before he activated the Dark Siphon. He was on the outskirts of the Forbidden Zone, near the Data Core Gate."

"Good. I'll go there now," Axel said. He glanced at his stats panel one last time. He knew his next opponent was Liam, who had probably absorbed some of the server's energy by now.

"Axel, wait! I'll wait for you on the nearest safe path. You have to stay vigilant. His dark energy might have already merged with his physical body."

"I'm going to stabilize the server from inside the Data Core. I won't let Liam touch it." Axel shut down his status panel. He didn't need indicators anymore. He could sense the energy anomaly Liam was emitting from a distance.

He leaped from his cabin, no longer running, but gliding in a straight line across the Eternity map. His movement was now a perfect blend of high speed and absolute endurance.

"I'm coming, Liam," Axel whispered.

The journey to the Forbidden Zone, which normally took days, now only took one hour for the newly evolved Blademaster. The closer he got to the target, the denser the chaotic data streams became.

Axel glided into a digital canyon guarded by the final defensive fortress established by Liam Fury. The fortress looked like a rapidly swirling maze of black code, ready to destroy anyone who attempted entry.

"Zara, I'm outside the fortress. I need you to open a path!"

"I've prepared the strongest backdoor virus I built. But you have to get in within fifteen seconds of me breaching the main firewall. Fifteen very dangerous seconds, Axel!" Zara warned.

"Alright, give me fifteen seconds, Navigator."

Axel took a deep breath, feeling the Gilded energy flow rapidly and steadily through his body. He stood firm before the threatening black code wall.

"I'm going in now!" Axel shouted.

[GILDED BLADEMASTER : ACTIVATING FULL POTENTIAL]

Axel sprinted toward the wall of black code, fearlessly touching it with both hands, which were now glowing gold, challenging every line of Liam's defenses.

"Axel! Wake up! Don't let him win!"Zara's voice exploded like static in Axel's ears. Axel tried to move his fingers, but it felt like dragging thousands of tons of iron. His golden shoulders, now gray, felt dead, a hollow void where his existence used to be. Up above, the sky of Reality 402 was still filled with lidless eyes watching them with cold hunger."He has Liana, Zara," Axel whispered, his voice cracking as if his vocal cords were made of shattered glass. "I feel it. That silver hand, it's really there.""It's psychic pressure, Axel! He's weaponizing your connection to Earth!" Zara tugged at Axel's shoulder, trying to help him stand amid the ruins of the bell tower. "If you give up now, he won't just silence Earth, he'll silence the entire Symphony!""But how do we fight him?" Axel looked up at the thousands of silver cracks scarring the sky. "Our Gilded power... he just consumes it. We attack, and he only grows stronger. We're essentially feeding the monster with our own lif

"Let go of her!"Axel's voice exploded, shattering the stillness creeping across the ceiling of the Symphony Core. His golden light blazed fiercely, spraying flames of energy that attempted to scorch the Architect's silver shadow."That's not her, Axel! Don't fall for it!" Zara screamed, her electric blue form trembling violently. "It's just a memory projection! Liana's still on Earth!""I know, but I can't stand seeing her like this!" Axel lunged forward, his hands, made of light, clenched into fists. "Architect, what do you want?"The Architect of Silence didn't move. The faceless figure merely tilted its head slightly. Its cold voice resonated once more, seeping into their essence without passing through their ears."Anger is unnecessary noise. Look how peaceful her face is when all that noise has faded away."The pale figure of Liana behind him slowly faded, dissolving into cold silver dust. The Architect waved its hand toward the outside of the Symphony Core, pointing at a stream

  • Chapter 60 Warning from the Old Log

Liana was terrified. Axel felt it through the remnants of a neural link still lingering in his energy memory. The cold sweeping over Earth wasn't just a drop in temperature; it was the extinguishing of existence itself. Inside the Symphony Core, Axel tried to breach the static layer shrouding Earth's flow of reality, but every time he touched it, his hand felt burned by oblivion."Dammit, the system is rejecting me!" Axel growled, his golden aura flaring wildly, scattering particles of light in every direction. "Zara, I can't reach the Nexus. Liana is screaming inside her head, and I can only watch."Zara didn't respond with words. Her electric blue form danced over the transparent control panel, which was now filled with blood-red codes. Her light-fingers moved with superhuman speed, trying to hold back the data walls from collapsing. The Symphony Core, usually the most peaceful place in the entire multiversum, now felt like the engine room of a sinking ship."

"Sector Seven status?""Stable, Ma'am. The Gilded frequency in New York is at ninety-nine point nine percent."Liana rubbed the bridge of her nose. The lights in Nexus Innovations' main control room glowed a soft blue, but the atmosphere felt oppressive. "What about London? Tokyo? I want real numbers, not projections.""Everything's green, Ms. Liana," replied Sarah, her senior assistant, as she slid the holographic screen toward her leader. "Technically, the global Gilded network hasn't been this strong in ten years.""Technically," Liana muttered. She rose from her ergonomic chair and walked toward the giant glass window overlooking the city. "Then why do I feel like something is wrong, Sarah?""Maybe you just need some rest. You've been here for thirty-six hours straight.""It's not that. You feel it too, don't you? The air around us. It feels ... static."Sarah was silent for a moment. She looked at her monitor, then at Liana's back. "There was a strange report from the public heal

  • Chapter 58 Corruption Entities

The darkness beyond the boundaries of the Symphony is not empty. It is solid, cold, and filled with the remnants of failed realities. In the heart of that nothingness, an ancient consciousness began to pulse."Finally," whispered a voice that permeated without sound waves.A pair of eyes not made of light opened. The Architect of Silence took a deep breath, inhaling the aroma of emptiness that had accompanied him for millions of years. He moved his fingers, and the space around him whimpered softly."Do you feel it?" he asked the void."We feel it, My Lord," replied hoarse voices from beyond the shadows."The noise is back again. Gilded System, Axel, Zara ... they think they are preserving harmony." The Architect stood up, his silver robe glowing faintly like a dying moon. "When in fact they are only nurturing a flaw in the universe's design.""What are your commands?" asked a mass of black mist that began to take human form be

  • Chapter 57 Whispers of Silence

"Zara! Are you still with me? Answer me!"Axel's voice echoed in the siphoning void. His golden essence pulsed unsteadily, flickering like a dying incandescent bulb. The recent dissonance blast had thrown them far from the Symphony Core's main control center, landing them in a gray area they hadn't mapped in ten years."I ... I'm here," Zara replied weakly. Her electric-blue vortex appeared to fade, losing its color saturation. "Axel, I can't feel the Gilded flow. My connection to the Symphony is severed.""Calm down. Focus on my frequency. Don't let yourself dissolve into this silence." Axel forced his energy to expand, forming a shield of light around them. "We've been thrown to the edges. The Peripheral Sector.""Look outside, Axel," Zara whispered, her voice trembling with static. "Those small realities out there. They aren't just vibrating. They're freezing."Axel turned. In the distance, threads of reality that normally danced with vibrant colors now appeared stiff and pale. Sma
