Jason had no time to deal with the rash receptionist nor did he intend to do so from the beginning. She was after all doing her job, even if she had done so in a rash manner.

All that had been forgotten in a jiffy when she blurted out that she had been strictly warned not to inform strangers about the boss’ condition.

“I asked you a question,” Jason asked in a no-nonsense tone and she snapped her face back to his before explaining to him.

The chill Jason had felt from her words still had not dissipated as he drew at top speed to the hospital she mentioned.
