Lucas opened his eyes slowly, and it was more like a sun blister all over his body. A slight groan escaped from his mouth as he clutched his hands to the covering of the soft tissue that seemed to be beneath him.

He looked up and noticed a beautiful ceiling above him, and he was confused for a while.

He didn't know where he was or even how he got there for a start, but he was here.

Likewise, he had to find out where he was as soon as he could, and that might even give him a clue on how he was going to leave that hell of a place.

Lucas stared around for a while, with his eyes darting to across the room and focusing on the glittering tiles.

Then it struck him, he was in a massive hospital. It had been a long time since he visited a hospital because he didn't have the money to visit one. Talk less of a really large hospital. But there was a considerable question that was lagging at the back of his mind; who brought him to such a large hole of a hospital?

He tried hard as he could to remember what had happened and how he got there, but the last thing he remembered was the heartbreak that he faced.

Whenever he thought about it, it seemed as though his heart skipped a beat, and he could feel tears forming in the corner of his eyes, but he pushed it back immediately.

It had already happened, and there was absolutely nothing that could be done about it now.

His most beloved girlfriend, dumping his poor ass. Pretty cool, wasn't it? He drew a really deep breath, deeper than he had ever drawn all his life.

Maybe the world was not just for him. Perhaps it was time to end it all and go back to wherever the god-damn it was he came from.

He drew another deep breath, deeper than he had ever drawn all his life. Now what he needed to know was how the hell in the name of ten devils did he get to that place.

Then a deadly thought crossed his mind, and he shivered so hard that the bed that he was lying on jerked.

What if he was asked to pay for the medications and from the look of the hospital alone, the treatment was going to be expensive.

Lucas could feel his heart beating hard against his chest now, so hard that it felt as though it was going to burst through.

His head spun in a one hundred and eighty degree motion. He had to find a way that he was going to escape from the hospital as soon as he could.

But when he looked around, he noticed a tray filled with food right beside him, and he was perplexed and surprised at the same time.

But no matter how confused he was, he could not help it as his mouth watered, and a large lump went down his spine.

“What the heck in the name of ten devils is happening here?” He yelled in his head.

He had not seen such beautiful-looking food all his life, and he felt that he could just fall on the food and devour it immediately.

Lucas's stomach rumbled, but he had to hold himself, clutching his hands around his stomach to control his growing hunger.

That food lying before him was worth hundreds of dollars and even if it was sold, he would not be able to afford it.

He drew a really deep breath again and a slight cough escaped from his mouth.

“Young Master, you are awake already?” he heard someone talking and turned around to see who it was and discovered that it was a man dressed in a beautifully designed suit.

"Gulp”, A large lump went down his spine.

“Young master?” The words escaped from his mouth.

“Young Master, I think that you will have to do it now.” He noted, but Lucas was really confused as to whom he was referring to with that title.

He stared at the man for a while, studying the look that was hanging on his face.

From his looks, he was a high-class person in the society and here he was, calling him a young master.

There had to be a mistake somewhere. What other way could this be explained?

“What am I doing here and how did I even get here?” Lucas inquired, staring right into the eyes of the stranger.

“Try to calm down, young master. You have countless things to learn, but you will have to eat your food first, and I am going to explain every single bit of what is going on here. Just as soon as you are done.” He promised with a bright smile.

Lucas stared at him for a while, without a single trace of trust in his eyes, but at the sound of his stomach rumbling, he had to obey.

He ate the meal slowly, with his heart on his hands as he kept on staring at the man who had a smile hanging on his face.

This had to be a dream, and he wished that if it was, he was never going to wake up from this dream because life here was significantly better than the terrible life that he was living in reality.

He gulped down the food in a few minutes and stared at the man for a while, trying to get the courage to say what he was about to say.

“I am already done with my meal. You are now going to tell me how I got here, right?” He inquired, and the stranger nodded his head.

“Sure young Master.” He said with a slight bow.

He clapped his hands slightly, and Lucas turned towards the direction of the sound. It was coming from the door and when he continued to stare, he noticed that someone was being dragged in a wheelchair into the hospital room.

“Who could that be?” He thought in his head, confused.

He could not have mistaken him for another person. Not only that, but he owned the biggest company that existed in the city, the Belcraft group.

Likewise, he was not even worthy to stare at him in the eyes, but here he was staying with him right in the same room.

Whatever it was that brought him there, it just had to be a mistake, and nothing besides that.

He attempted to come down from the bed despite the pain to bow before the billionaire, but before he could get to do that, the stranger in the white suit stopped him.

“What are you trying to do, young master? You are going to hurt yourself.” He came running over to him.

“But.” He wanted to say, but he would not allow him to spit out a single word from his mouth.

They drew the billionaire closer to the bed, but he tried as much as he could to make sure that their eyes would not cross path.

But no matter how hard he tried, he could not help the feeling of staring at him. The living legend…

A smile broke out on the old man's face as he stared right into Lucas' eyes, and he pulled his eyes away almost immediately.

But he said something that made Lucas gasp, and he almost stopped breathing immediately.

"Hello Grandson, I never thought that I was going to see you again”, the old billionaire spat out from his mouth and Lucas stared at him so shocked that he was frozen on the spot for a while.

“What!” He exclaimed.

His fell in shock as they drew the old man over to him and for the first time, he saw a light in his wrecked life.

Before Lucas could make a movement out of the location, a gang of boys had gathered already, surrounding him. The old man couldn't just stop calling him a thief even after he had explained to him that the money belonged to him. However, at some point in time, Lucas couldn't blame them. He had not taken his time to think through his actions. He should have known that it was definitely going to be outrageous for an odd looking man like him to display such huge amount of money, even if he was in disguise. No one but him knew he was in disguise as a poor man after all.Soon enough, it looked to him like the old man had filled the gang in with the wrong details. That explained the disapproving and angry stares they gave to him. It was unfortunate that even as he tried to plead with them so he could tell them the truth from the misconception the old man had, they had began to throw blows at him, kicking and slapping him at the same time.Lucas considered their action to be inconsiderate, i

He was more shocked to see the group of people staring at him, confusion spread out on their faces. There were just three of them. Three women, staring at him. And neither of them was ready to move away from the spot they were standing at. Although he wasn't surprised at how they stared at him. As of that time, he was no longer the rich looking, handsome billionaire. He was now an ugly haggard poor man who was sniffing around the cliff, probably searching for what to eat. After staring at them in silence for quite some time, he decided to make a move as he suddenly remembered what he had thought of doing if things didn't work out fine. As usual, there was always a plan B.Surprisingly, the first step he took made them take another step back. Despite given the distance, he could still see the distrust that equally led to fear on their faces. Of course, he should have expected that. “I won't hurt you please. I just need to ask you a few questions.” He said, taking another step towards

The last action he did was button up the torn trousers he was putting on. Unfortunately for him, he didn't have a mirror where he could look up himself to see how he looked in his disguised form. He had made a mental note to himself before leaving the house that he had to look the poorest ever. After his several attempts to make the people around him believe that Emily was not dead had failed, Lucas took it upon himself to go search for her himself. He knew how hard he had paid people to go in search of her. However, it was heart breaking to say that there was no one who took it in their deep interest to find her because if they did, he was pretty sure that some positive results would have come out. He was presently at one of the abandoned and deserted warehouses he knew about. That was another perfect spot for a billionaire like him to suddenly transform himself into a disgusted poor man which people would want to stay away from. He had chosen the warehouse, far from the mansion so

“He used to be a student at the school.” The words of Mr. Shaw couldn't stop playing in her head. “I was able to go into the city. That was the only place I could think of finding him since no one here knew who he was. And I had to start from where we had found you. When there was nothing positive there, I moved further. Along the line, I was able to find a group of people, young boys especially who had an idea of him. According to the people I found, he used to be a student at one Belmont Academy.” The old man explained to Emily. At first, when he had come into the house with the good news of having found the man in the picture and knowing his location, Emily felt her heart gladden. Even if they were on a maybe part of finding him, she believed a clue was worth something. But as it stood, she had just one question… how would she find him in a big school just as the old man described? From the look of the young man in the picture, he didn't look like one to still be in school. So, wh

Ever since the date she found the picture, she took it upon herself to search every nook and cranny of the bag said to belong to her, with the intention of finding anything else that could tell her who she truly was. However, what Emily was truly focused on at the moment was finding out who the man in the picture was. But then, he was forced to believe him, owning to the seriousness on his face. “I have a lot of questions concerning this if you're actually serious about it.” Blake finally opened up to say. There was a reign of silence as Lucas didn't respond to him. “How did you leave to find Emily? Where did you also go to find her, Lucas?” Blake asked, hoping he would still get a response from him because definitely, he was curious.“When you all were asleep, foolishly believing that she is actually gone for good.” Lucas answered, a sting of betrayal playing in his voice. “Lucas, you're endangering your life.” Blake said, concern glaring in his voice.“I don't care if I had to do that. All I want is to find my woman.” Lucas said forcefully, turning to look back at Blake.“Let me remind you that this supposed woman is dead.” Blake said. “Her body was not found. That doesn't mean that she
