Golden light filled every corner of the Eternal Blood Shrine.

The cracked pillars slowly repaired themselves.

The shattered floor rejoined as though time itself had begun to flow backward.

Kael watched in stunned silence.

He had never witnessed such power.

The majestic man descended until his feet touched the ancient floor.

He looked no older than thirty, yet his eyes carried the weight of countless centuries.

His crimson-and-gold robes bore the emblem of a soaring dragon encircling a blazing sun.

Unlike the calm spirit of the First Blood Sovereign, this man radiated the authority of an emperor.

Without saying a word, he looked at Kael.

The pressure was overwhelming.

Kael felt as though every secret in his heart had been laid bare.

"You have grown," the man said at last.

"But you are still far from becoming worthy of the throne."

Kael bowed respectfully.

"Who are you... truly?"

The man smiled faintly.

"I am Aurelius."

"The Second Blood Sovereign."

"When the First Sovereign laid the foundation of our bloodline..."

"I expanded it."

"I united the Seven Kingdoms before they became enemies."

Kael's eyes widened.

"The Seven Kingdoms were once united?"

Aurelius nodded.

"Peace existed."

"But peace is fragile."

"There will always be those who crave power more than harmony."

His gaze drifted toward Varos.

"You have fulfilled your role."

Varos remained kneeling.

"My Lord..."

"I was defeated."

Aurelius shook his head.

"No."

"You discovered what I wished to know."

He turned back to Kael.

"A Sovereign who relies only on strength will eventually fall."

"But one who observes..."

"...adapts..."

"...and protects..."

"...can change the fate of the world."

Kael lowered his head.

"I still have so much to learn."

"That," Aurelius replied, "is why you are still alive."

He raised his right hand.

A small sphere of crimson light appeared above his palm.

Inside it floated seven tiny stars.

"Tell me, Kael."

"What do you think these represent?"

Kael studied the sphere carefully.

"The Seven Inheritances?"

Aurelius smiled.

"A reasonable guess."

"But no."

He gently closed his hand.

The sphere transformed into seven glowing keys.

"These are the Seven Sovereign Seals."

"They were forged to imprison something that should never awaken."

Kael's heart skipped a beat.

"The Abyss?"

"The Abyss has many horrors," Aurelius answered.

"But beneath it sleeps one being."

"The Devourer King."

Even Varos lowered his head at the mention of the name.

Aurelius continued.

"It existed before kingdoms."

"Before dragons."

"Before mankind."

"When it awakens..."

"It consumes worlds."

Kael felt a chill run down his spine.

"So the Blood Sovereigns..."

"Were never merely kings."

"No."

"We were wardens."

The words echoed through the shrine.

For the first time, Kael understood.

His family had not ruled for glory.

They had carried a burden.

A burden no one else could bear.

Aurelius looked directly into Kael's eyes.

"That burden now belongs to you."

Before Kael could respond, the shrine shook violently.

Not from an attack.

From something far deeper.

A crack appeared beneath the ancient throne.

Then another.

Then dozens more.

Aurelius frowned.

"Impossible."

Seraphine's face turned pale.

"The seal..."

"It's breaking."

Black mist began pouring from the cracks in the floor.

The temperature dropped instantly.

A deep, hateful laugh echoed from beneath the shrine.

"So..."

"The Blood Sovereigns are gathering again."

The voice was ancient.

Cold.

Filled with endless malice.

A massive hand of living darkness burst through the cracked floor, followed by chains wrapped around its wrist.

The chains glowed with ancient runes.

They were prison chains.

And something beneath them was trying to break free.

Aurelius' calm expression vanished.

He looked at Kael with urgency.

"Listen carefully."

"You are not ready to face what lies below."

He thrust his hand toward Kael.

A beam of crimson light shot into Kael's chest.

Memories flooded his mind.

Ancient sword forms.

Battle tactics.

A mysterious map marked with six hidden locations across the continent.

"The remaining Six Sovereign Shrines..."

Aurelius said.

"You must find them before the enemy does."

The chains below snapped one after another.

CRACK!

CRACK!

CRACK!

The entire shrine trembled.

The dark hand clenched into a fist.

Then a second hand emerged.

Aurelius stepped forward, crimson energy blazing around him.

His voice thundered through the chamber.

"Kael!"

"Run!"

"I will seal it once more!"

Kael hesitated.

"But—"

"There is no time!"

Varos stood beside Aurelius, drawing his black sword.

"I will hold the line."

Seraphine joined them, her body transforming into a blazing crimson flame.

The three guardians stood shoulder to shoulder before the widening abyss.

Aurelius looked back one final time.

His expression was calm.

Almost... proud.

"The age of guardians has ended."

"The age of the last Blood Sovereign..."

"...begins now."

The floor beneath Kael suddenly lit up with an enormous teleportation array.

Before he could resist, crimson light enveloped him.

The last thing he saw was Aurelius raising both hands as the abyss erupted with a roar powerful enough to shake the heavens.

Then...

Everything disappeared.
