Chapter 8

"Come on what's wrong with whatever happened?" Joshua giggled callously and Clark's ears pricked back, as his eyes popped open in astonishment.

Joshua gurgled with delight and it nauseated Clark who found it to be a grotesque act and felt Joshua was acting fortuitously.

"The shadow beasts!" Clark's voice cracked as he spoke.

He felt everything that every single appalling word that came out from Joshua was a sick twisted joke.

His heart has fallen to a sudden state of despair as he calculates how he is going to convince Joshua to change his point of view.

"Ooh you mean those Nordic beings? They are supernatural beings. Of course that has been confirmed but one thing is for sure, there are no shadow beasts in existence," Joshua fluttered his eyelashes.

"What the hell! Nordic beings. But when they appeared, you couldn't control the spasming fear in your body," Clark huffed.

"Yes, of course, that's simply because I was meeting them for the first time. Right now, that's not the case," Joshua let out a raspy chuckle.

"They are indeed real, trust me. They did attack me not that long and it was so horrendous," Clark argued with a stern expression.

"Come on, those are just fibberies and nosy ponies and I am going to stay here in the city and do more research about them. I mean those guys are heroes," Joshua cackled gleefully.

Clark knew his convincing times were over and knew he had to give up.

He let out a low puff as he rose and faced Joshua in the eyes.

"I need to leave now, I hope you will be safe," Clark heaved a grunting strain as he fluttered his eyelashes whacked off his mind.

He knew he still had one more person to convince and that was Dahlia and her mother whom he hadn't met yet.

"Alright friend, we will still keep in touch," Joshua gurgled chummily as he watched Clark waltz out of his apartment...

Benovio massaged his temples, deep in thought as his siblings waggled into his presence.

"So what's new? Have you come up with a plan yet?" Circe clinked her high heels impatiently on the ground.

"Well, the new plan is that we have prevented Dragon Master from getting the eighty magical shards in the first place," Benovio's voice cracked with a stern expression.

"Good plan," Sacorah blurted out gleefully, smacking his lips.

"It's going to be a tedious intense and almost impossible job to be done," Circe lips twitched forward as her eyes popped open to explain how stiffened she was.

"That's irrefutable indeed, but that's the only way we can have victory against them. We all know how strong the royals are when they fight together but their greatest strength is the awakening of the dragon master in his full maximum abilities after he has taken the full eighty shards," Benovio warned as he stroked his chin.

"Alright then, so contact the shadow beasts, we have some curbing to do," Circe announced as they all dispatched to their respective duties and planned forward on the next steps to take.
